INFP’s aren’t necessarily naive, we are aware of the harshness of the world since we often get picked on for being different. Because we are aware of the darker side of the world, we work towards making the world a less harsher place, especially for people who society labels as “weak”. AKA, we see the world not as it is, but what it should be. Because of this we get very angry at the injustices of the world, even if they are the status quo.

    • @GoVocaloider
      @GoVocaloider 3 ปีที่แล้ว +134

Spot on. I wish people would understand this more.
I'm not naive because I choose to believe and work towards the good of the world. I'm strong because I can acknowledge the injustice and refuse to bow down to it or partake in it.
As unfair as it is to be judged as 'naive', I've come to the conclusion that if people are going to treat me as though I'm a naive mindless simpleton, instead of a determined driven hopeful, then I understand that that is a weakness of perception on their part and not mine. Their loss. I know who I am, I don't need them to validate me.

What I love about each personality type (based on my personal experiences):
ENTJ: Their ambition (is just, wow, it makes me want to cheer on them), I also wouldn't mind them taking over the world
ENTP: when you find something you agree on with this type IT FEELS SO GOOD!! The more you talk about it, the more exciting it gets.
INTJ: they have SUCH deep understanding of things, their minds are a beautiful mystery
INTP: wow, just how much passion they show when they talk about what their interests, I could listen to them for hours...
ENFJ: they absolutely restore my hope in humanity, their kindness and their entire mindset is admirable
ENFP (my type!): their take on everything in life is SO interesting, having an ENFP by your side makes life worth living
INFJ: literally, the best friend you could ever ask for, their emotional intelligence is something out of this world
INFP: they are soo easy to talk to, they have such an open mind and if only they were given more chances to shine they'd surprise everyone
ESFJ: the mom of the friend s group, you can always count on them and they have a talent for bringing everyone together
ESTJ: I love this type, if they want to say something they'll say with no hesitation, and somehow they have this energy that motivates me
ISFJ: we do not deserve all that kindness, also I want to hug them 24/7
ISTJ: they are actually incredibly kind and helpful people, if you ever don't understand something, ask an ISTJ, their logic is outstanding
ESTP: wowowow this guys gave the BEST anecdotes, they live life to the fullest and is always a joy to tag along
ESFP: they made every second you spend with them a worth remembering moment
ISTP: they are surprisingly creative, they have their own way of doing things and they never fail to surprise you with what they can do
ISFP: they are able to find the beauty in so many things, seeing the world from ISFPs perspective is extraordinary
And as a good ole ENFP I shall add a random twist to this long comment by adding that it was all written with a banana (I'm not joking)

As an infp, I wouldn't call it reflection - it's more like, as you grow to understand yourself, you grow to understand the world.
Some days, I drift lazily, like a wandering cloud, and the world has a thousand little mysteries right there. I can choose to perceive them, I recognise them, and I remember a little something, before continuing on my way.
Other days, I'm a lightly fluttering petal, swept up in the breeze, and everything is so bright. The way children laugh, the dance of the flowers, the sounds of life echoing from all around. I bring the joy as I go, and twirl onwards.
Sometimes, I am a sudden sweeping storm, or the whispering wind, the pitter-patter of rain, the gentle rhythms of waves at the shore. I observe myself, learn myself, discover me, and through discovering me, I discover the world. How else do I describe what I find, when what I find are emotions? I look to what I know, how what I know makes me feel, and that is what I use.
It is an understanding of who I am, even the parts I dislike, that allow me to see the world.
I chase an echo, and that echo is me.

Hi I‘m an ENFP, I can tell you why I love my INFP friends. First of all, for me you are not invisible AT ALL. Like, when I enter a room full of people I am pulled towards you. You have this very calm kind aura around you, that I love so much - so I might not know that you are an INFP but I sense it right away - and that aura of yours is so magnetic for a person like me, who dislikes superficial conversations. So then there I am, standing next to you and just start talking. And I can nearly hear you thinking: Oh no here we go again an extrovert - please please please go talk to someone else. But after a very minutes you start smiling because I am just being weird and random, and you like that. Actually you‘d probably like everyone, because you always see the good in people. You smile and the world becomes a better place. You make me feel warm and ... save. Here I am, being embarrassing and totally random - but you don’t care. Because it only took you about 5 minutes to get me. To see me. And understand me. You understand that I am random and funny but also kind and warm just like you - I’m just a bit more louder than you are. And when I laugh, I laugh because it’s fun and because I want people to be happy. And when you laugh you don’t make fun of me but just tap into my positivity. You’d never make me feel bad. That’s just not you. You are kind, when you smile your eyes sparkle, because you can see the beauty that normally only I see.
There is no type that makes me feel like you. There is no type out there that makes me as appreciated, seen and save as you guys. I love that.
I love how much love you have to give. Sometimes it feels like you are overflowing with all that love - and it’s so beautiful.
You get people. You see them for who they truly are. And you make them feel as if it’s really okay to be just who you are, when being around you. Like; you wouldn’t judge. Because you are an Empath. You get it even if you would act different, you still understand.
Around you, I can just be myself. And feel understood. We talk about our deepest fears only after a few days of getting to know each other. Because I share openly and you listen, then talk a bit, then talk a bit more and get that I see you too.
I love being around you. My closest friends are INFPS. I have the greatest conversations with them. They get it, when I read to them my favorite quote of the day. And I get it when they tell me that they cried today because the sky looked just too beautiful today.
So maybe you just haven’t found your ENFP friend yet.
I appreciate you so much. A world without you would be awful, at least for me.
So let me write down one of my favorite quotes, that describes how I feel about my INFP friends:
      „Sometimes people are beautiful.
      Not in looks.
      Not in what they say.
Just in what they are.“ -Markus Zusak

I think the best way I can express what is truly in my heart and emotions is through writing my stories.
When words come out of my mouth they’re like a fish out of water, but when I write, putting myself into the emotions of the characters in my story, it’s like the words are a bird floating through the sky on a gentle breeze.
That’s also why I take criticism kind of hard. Because it’s like they’re saying that I am what’s wrong with my story. Like I put my soul into it and they said it wasn’t good enough.
I’m working on moving past bad criticism though, because what one person treasures, another might scorn or just ignore.
We all find our ways of expression, even if it isn’t verbal. ❤️

'What I Love About Frank James' list: (anyone, feel free to add to it in the replies if y'want.)
-he's super clever. coming up with great ideas & knowing how to portray them in a way that's relatable to so many ppl at once. and he's able to break down complicated topics & make them simpler and easier for everyone to understand. helping so many people understand themselves & those around them better.
-he's very funny & witty, one of the few TH-camrs who can make me audibly laugh on a regular basis. he can cheer up many ppls' days with a video and make ppl smile when they needed it.
-not to mention he's also a great actor, able to use facial expressions to perfectly capture emotions and situations.
-he has such a nice personality. he just gives off such good vibes. he's someone you could imagine going to if you needed advice about something or if you were feeling down and you needed someone to just quietly be with that wouldn't drain you. he seems very humble, real & understanding.
-he is very hard-working. he puts lots of effort into his videos & is consistent with providing new content. (he's so hard-working to a point that sometimes when I get a new notification for one of his videos I wanna tell him it's okay to take a little break now and then, cuz I want him to relax, lol). FJ gives us both quality AND quantity when it comes to content.

As an ENTJ, i sometimes feel like people think we're dumb or crazy when we try to explain something to others. I'm an ENTJ. My best friend is an INTJ. He's insanely hard working. The only person I know that intimidates me in terms of efficiency. I love being friends with him. I love competition as motivation, especially when it's against someone better than me, because if I was competing with someone below my capability or just on my level of capability, they wouldn't actually be efficient competition in the first place. It's also fun to watch him be the smarter one, but people still listen to me when we disagree anyway just because of my natural extraversion which I guess translates to charisma against him. I usually push for his ideas though, because I know he's right.

@@sa-mi1un As an INTJ I would say that ENTJs seem to be more socially successful overall for a variety of reasons, and both types seem to express discontent with being misunderstood, but there’s also the element of INTJs seemingly thinking through what we say a bit more than ENTJs, which can help us avoid certain situations.
Something anecdotal which seems to be a symptom is that a lot of ENTJs on Reddit don’t seem as prone to spellcheck to the same degree as INTJs. Seems to be a conflict between the Ni yearning for thoroughness and Te yearning for time/effort efficiency but I’m just speculating.

INFJ - haven't had much experience with them, but they seem very sweet and would patiently answer all the questions I have about life lol
ENFJ - very charming, I wish I could have that silver tongue of theirs.
ESFJ - the exact opposite of INTPs, lol. I actually really like them tho... They are friendly and avoid conflict, the latter being exactly like me.
ISFJ - sweetest moms lol, often mistyped as INTP I've heard, or the other way around. Underrated intelligence.
ENTJ - ideal partners for us. I would let them be the leader in any situation lol
ESTJ - very practical, I like how organised they are, and they have underrated creativity
ISTJ - similar to estj, except I feel like they have this urge (?) to do the best for people around them, which is sweet
ESTP - all my estp friends get me out of my shell lol. They are actually pretty smart and strategic
ESFP - also get me out of my shell lol, fun to watch
ISTP - despite having the same first slot function, I find them to be pretty different to INTPs.... Their straightforward manner is comforting in a way lol
INFP - open-minded and creative. Very soft and sweet too.
ENFP - open-minded too, I love their confidence and quirkiness

Generally I think that INTJ seem like they don't care about feelings talk, especially with strangers or just friends - you know, except that one very good friend for which I would kill for. Because from what I have seen from other INTJs too, we have that one person we would give everything for, would always find time to hang out with them and talk to them - because it's that one favourite person. And it's our favourite person because they relate to our thinking and so that's why we can open up to them as well. I have two of these, and they are my two closest friends, obviously lol. One of them is an INTJ too (female), and she's the only one I have ever opened up so much (if I was a man, I would definitely marry her - and no, I'm not secretly in love with her, just being rational in my intj way).

It's maybe because they are very loving, and INTJ are very loyal, so if you're loyal and you're showing me that, then I'll want you by my side. INTJs like psychology, because it's nice analysing behaviors and stuff. When it comes to emotions, I'll only want listen if it's that one favourite person I love so much. We do love and we can be very soft too, but if our characters don't match at first, then we will never reach the point to talk about our emotions. You know, in the end even if two people have the same type, they're still very different.

My opinions about other types that I personally know.
My sister the ESTJ: Very INTENSE and hates when people are inefficient, can't make a decision, and things are unorganized or over-complicated. She will cut right to the point and bluntly say her opinion and what should be done every time. No sugar coating. Period.
My ISTP husband: Super smart and always very focused on his interest, projects, and and what he wants. He can put lots of money into his hobbies, tools, and anything with a motor without much thought.
He's also the first person EVERYONE in his family calls when they need something fixed, looked at, or a problem solved. He's not afraid to call it how it is, or to hurt feelings, or to do what he wants no matter what others say. He also never engages in an argument unless he knows he's right, thus, he's already won.
My INTP son: Similar to his father but more stubborn and unmoving when it comes to his decisions and opinions. Even as a toddler you could not influence or manipulate him into anything. Everything was his way or no way when it came to sleeping, eating, dressing, playing, etc. His life, his way, no changing it. Ever. To this day it still rings true. Also, his logic is bar none the best. You cannot and will not win an argument with him if you are basing it on anything other than equal logic and thinking. Feelings don't count, opinions don't matter, rules don't apply if they don't make absolute sense. You will lose Every. Single. Time. He can also become obsessive in his interest and focus, and he's basically a hermit 75% of the time.
ESFJ mother-in-law: Spoils the grandkids. Spoils. Want treats? Go to grandma. Want that new toy? Go to grandma. Want to vent? Go to grandma. Want to get out of trouble? Go to grandma.
She's always up for company. Always ready to feed you. Always concerned about if everyone is safe, happy, healthy, and getting along. She cares and everyone either knows it and loves it, or feels smothered by it (ISTP, INTP, and INFJ).
INTJ brother-in-law: Always coming up with new ways to make money or to make his goal of independence work more efficiently. Sometimes, says strange things and I can't tell what his angle is or if he's being funny. Cuts through feelings to find the logic in things. Likes to make decisions based on logic but wonders why they don't pan out when it comes to the feelers in his life (wife is INFP, others ESFJ, INFJ). Admires ISTP brother but can't quite do the SE like him. Loves all kinds of strategy games (usually wins), alone time, intrumental music, and food.
INFP sister-in-law: Loves to sit and sip on tea and read. Loves talking about places, ideas, and human interest topics. Wants to fit in but has a hard time with FE. Loves trying new creative things, going new places, and meeting new people but also has to have a lot of alone time to recooperate and think. Can be emotionally driven and charged at times but is usually open to varying opinions and people. Can be depressed and moody without warning sometimes. Has strong morals, values, and feelings of her own.
Me the INFJ: Has taken all of my adulthood so far to figure out who I am, what I want, what I need, and so on. Spends most of my time helping others or caring for others, including pets. Can't choose a career. Feels like an alien. Overwhelmed by the chaos of the world. Wants to run away to a tropical island half the time. Needs more adventure and stability. Hates being a walking contradiction to self. Loves having NI and high FE but afraid I might misuse it if not careful. Not sure where I belong but feel compelled to do what I should, always. Exhausted. Lol.

Here’s what I like most about each type
ISTJ & ESTJ - if we’re being honest, society simply would not work without these two types, and I think we all owe them a big thank you for that
ENTJ & ENFJ - they make the best leaders, ENFJ’s with their ability to inspire people and ENTJ’s with their extreme efficiency
ENTP - easily the funniest type, they just seem to have a better understanding of how to tell a good joke than any other types
ENFP & ESFP - the funnest and most likeable types. ENFP’s are a bit weirder, but their both great to be around and never boring
INFP & ISFP - they are incredibly creative, like half of all artists ever are from these two types. Plus I’m very fond of them, I just think their neat
ESTP - say what you want about them, but ESTP’s are always interesting, in fact arguably their the most interesting type
ISTP - easily the coolest type. Their all just natural badasses.
ISFJ & ESFJ - some of the kindest people you’ll meet, and they make for the best family
INTP - oh hey, my type! It’s too obvious to say we’re the smartest type, so I’d say that what I like most about is are that we are very easygoing and nonjudgmental
INFJ - they have the best understanding of other people, for that reason INFJ’s tend to make great actors (Frank James is proof enough of that)
INTJ - they low-key scare me, but I also admire the hell of out them. They seem the most capable out of any of the types of achieving anything they set their mind

We (or at least I do) try to pop that bubble for their own good and they don’t like it which is why we’re “arrogant”. I can see why people may think I am arrogant but that’s alright as I want to improve the world. We can’t change the world if we just accept that people will think illogically and that’s ok.

@@agnesco00 I get what you are saying, this is why scientists will test and review and revise everything based on new information. However I think I know that certain things are illogical. Like living in Canada, Canadian knife laws. The idea that banning certain knives stops crime is bullshit. Knives are inanimate objects and not responsible for crime, people who are driven by greed, revenge, mental illnesses, and usually poverty are. When certain things are banned this only hurts law abiding citizens as criminals don’t care to follow the bans. They will still use the knives that are already in circulation and in their possession to hurt people or they will just find another way. banning automatic knives was stupid because flippers were still available, now flippers, are banned, fine there are non assisted folders and fixed blades but why haven’t we banned these, they can be used to stab people. If we are banning things based off stopping violent crime let’s also ban screw divers, hammers, cars, you know what let’s ban metal, wood, plastic and stone because that will surely solve all violence. Why do people assume that a criminal waits for the ideal weapon to fall into their hands before acting. My mom did this, we sold our house. I have swords, real and sharp because cutting water bottles is really fun, and they were displayed on my rooms walls during the showings. My mom told me to take them down because, “someone is going to stab the realtor”. I was like if they’re going to do that then they’ll do it regardless of whether my swords are there or not. We can further look at the uk knife bans which do nothing. Or the fact that they banned curved swords and not strait swords. Or the fact that you could own an antique flintlock pistol in Canada but a modern reproduction is a restricted firearm. The list goes on

Your description of the ENFJ/ESFJ is almost an exact description of my spouse. Although he haven't taken a personality test, I can pretty much expect him to be one of those. He once went to FL, from the NE, and ran into people he knew in the FL airport. I'm surprised, when we get go on vacation, to not run into anyone he knows. He just seems to make friends so easily with almost anyone. (Yes, there are some exceptions.) However, 99.9% of people just love him. They treat me nicely, when he is with me, but (even being in a good mood and without ever saying a word) they treat me like they don't know me or I was their worst enemy. It is very annoying. These are all so accurate with what I love about my friends too 😂 In our squad, I'm the only ENFJ with 1 INFJ, 1 INTP, 1 ENFP, 1 INFP, and 1 ENTP (I know. All of us are really distinct from each other lol) Here's what I love about each one of them:
INFJ - it's sooo true how they seem like they're always hiding something 😂 my INFJ friend always has this mysterious air around her that made me drawn to her (I keep telling her this but she'd just cringe and act all embarrassed w/c also happens every single time I compliment her) but I gotta say when we engage in like reaaally long conversations, my INFJ friend shows her deep, emotional, and insightful side. I just love it man, how substantial her thoughts are, even though other people see her as some quiet girl, they don't know how much depth she has to her and that amazes me. To all INFJs out there, stay insightful and don't hesitate to show how emotionally intelligent you are, you probably don't know how comforting your aura is to someone else.
INTP - One of the smartest people I've met. When it comes to our grades, in my case, I've got good ones coz I study hard, but for my INTP friend, he's smart even without studying! He's too lazy to do it and when he gets good grades he's like "cool" but if he doesn't he's like "meh" geez I love it so much hahaha In all honesty, I never thought we would become really close friends coz he seemed like one of those types who likes to be alone (well, he's still like that sometimes lol) but once we talked about that one thing that he's really passionate about (w/c is gaming) oh boy it was like a switch inside him was flipped and now we're the best of friends. To all INTPs out there, if some people call you "weird" coz of how different you act from what they expect, then know that WEIRD IS POWER! and many people like me LOVE IT.
ENFP - Oh my gosh this friend of mine is so random I just even can't count all the times she made all of us laugh our asses off. She's so bubbly and bright. TOO bright in some cases. Even an ENFJ like me, who is used to handling energetic people, finds her brightness too dazzling sometimes, how much more for our INTP, INFP, and INFJ friends? 😂 I love her humor, her laugh is contagious, and out of everyone in the squad, she's the one who is always the victim of our teasing. To all ENFPs out there keep on shining and making everyone smile or laugh coz we all need that randomness in this world ✨
INFP - This friend of mine is the kindest person I've ever met to the point that I think I don't deserve how considerate she is. I feel soooo protective of her (not kidding) that whenever someone upsets her, I always make sure to have a word with whoever made her feel that way (of course, I do this in a civilized manner *ehem*) I'm protective probably because she reminds me of my little sister who is also an INFP. She's our squad's cinnamon roll and I'm sure everyone feels the same as me when it comes to being protective of her, we all just show it through different ways (even our ENTP friend who is tactless most of the time, tones it down when interacting with her). To all INFPs out there, stay gentle and a visionary even if you're surrounded by cruelty, I'm sure someone will definitely be there to not take advantage of you and reciprocate your kindness with respect and love 💖
ENTP - I'll be honest. At the very beginning, when me and my ENTP friend first met, WE DID NOT GET ALONG. Ahhh I can still vividly remember the days when I would find this guy obnoxious/arrogant and he would find me self-righteous, indirectly saying I was a "goody-two-shoes". Today, we would just laugh about it but back then there was sooo much negative tension. As u all know, ENFJs hate it when other people are treated as inferior or being looked down upon, and with this ENTP friend of mine, I felt like he was doing it (now I know that his actions and words had no ill intentions behind them, it's just how he normally was). But of course, somehow, we got forced to work together in the same group at one class aaaand we were seatmates (ngl this is starting to sound like a manga minus the romance, I KNOW even I find it funny today, but this is all true lol) Eventually, the tension disappeared and we started to acknowledge the good things from each other. I saw that he was flexible and a guy who could think out-of-the-box, he wasn't much of an asshole as I thought at first, and our group project was going smoothly. Then I found out that majority of our class didn't like how blunt this guy was but he was "cool" so he's sort of immune to being ostracized 😂And ironically, the fact that everyone else only saw him as a douchebag made me irritated. As an ENFJ, I try to make an effort to give people the benefit of the doubt even if I unconsciously judge them at first. So I guess, as a way to show others that he wasn't so bad, I started hanging out with him. Fast forward, and now he's part of our squad and one of my best friends. I love his arguments, and all the teasing he does in our group. To all ENTPs out there, stay a badass and blunt assho- oops Hahaha But the good kind of "asshole" kay? Ya'll probably get it 😉😉😉
WOW I didn't think it'd be this long sorry for making u read so much buuut I guess I really miss my squad coz of the pandemic 😭

I appreciate that FJ works so hard to deliver fun contents for the viewers! Thank you! It must be hard to make new videos every week. I totally respect what you're doing. Very excited about the video. 😊👍
Edit: loved the video! So glad you think ENFPs as fun people! ✨

As an INFP, this is frighteningly accurate. I will describe my emotions in many different ways, especially if it's about music. However, I don't discuss it much because I have a hard time trusting people, even those I love. Even then, I'm still upset at how gullible I can be. And it's not really about not trusting people, it's a hard time putting my feelings into words vocally. I tend to get nervous and get emotional with it, causing me to stumble over my words and either remain silent or leave out of embarrassment. I don't talk much, but I have a lot to say.

You really hit the nail on the head with the infj- my closest friend in highschool was one and yet I never felt like I actually knew her

7:54 To answer your question as an ISFJ, it comes down to being able to remember things about people. I recall birthdays and other important dates or facts about people pretty easily. Couple that with remembering what people like, including offhand comments that they make about their past or things they look forward to, and I’m easily able to come up with thoughtful gifts or gestures. I can anticipate what people will need or want because I know what’s worked in the past and I remember what they’ve said. So if a friend has a baby, I’m bringing meals over. If someone is moving away, I’ll make a housewarming gift basket. I like making those gestures and making sure they know I care. It comes naturally and makes me happy.

Humor is super important. I ended up in an ENFP-ENTP marriage because we're both hilarious, but damn, it would be nice if someone had some practical problem solving skills around here 😂

personalities that don't laugh might be INTJ or ISTJ but they can be comical in a different way. Just not a random kind of humor. They prefer a very...unique kind of humor :]

I love how your knowledge and understanding of the different types is so incredibly in-depth. I don't claim to know about all of them aside from mine because I don't, but your depiction (in your "16 personalities..." videos) of mine (istp, while you're not) is so on point. It's hilarious! Keep it up!

I loved this! Very positive. I agree on those points. Each type has something endearing about them. And thank you for saying that it's cool INFPs will focus on the direction they want to go, even if it seems dumb to some types (Thinking types, maybe?). People can get frustrated with me for not "learning lessons" they feel I should know by now due to that naivetayy, but what they don't understand is there's strength in being able to see the world with fresh eyes and see great things in people. Never mind if that almost kills you sometimes haha. At least it was an experience!
