I like the rules on the Golden Floater as they reflect the background on the Custodes being individualistic fighters, the Caladius can do everything all the time with two weapons systems, a machine spirit and the fast rule. Thanks for the review, looks great.
This model is utterly beautiful. if only i wasn't bad with modeling and also worried about the resin. the custodes grav tanks are some of my favorite vehicles in 40k. the cost is another issue...
what gets me is i read the FW description of the tank, more over its main weapon: Iliastus accelerator cannon, an advanced weapon which was to become the precursor to the main weapon of the Legiones Astartes Sicaran Battle Tank. thats a hell've step back for the Astartes tank. those auto-cannons look nothing like the iliastus railgun/coilgun/guassgun-isk type weapon. design-wise of course. would've made more sense the other way around.
I see a corner of Christmas Tree! :D Nice video dude, good to see one on a detailed video. Like you, I want a few Custodes for my Legion (that will likely end up evolving in to a big force, depending on how the Talons of the Emperor army list looks...) I am a little off-put by the price tag (basically £100 when you include shipping), but the detail really is incredible. RIP wallet, and thanks for the video! :)
I like it, has an overall cool design to it. I know it's custodes but I'd like to see someone paint it differently I could see it done up like death guard colors, oh man or iron warriors with hazard stripes across the front sponsons
Övercosted. If I wanted a Custode only army, it might be worth to buy it togheter with the custode sprue? But it atleast look more like a tank than I thought it would...
For the price you could by 2 Sicaran Battle Tanks and 2 oval bases and still have money spare, just don't glue on tye sponsor weapons and it is more or less the same haha

Very nice review. I like how you went over the rules and did the comparison with another model.

Silent Lord Yeah as an improvement on the accelerator cannons or something.
Brilliant vid. I can't wait for the army overview.

ta24u Wicked suggestion.
Very nice looking model but it looks like it could do with some side sponsons rather then the nose mounted weapons
that's own way pretty unique nice looking tank, i wonder if that can be used in 40k when that imperial agents book come.
PICKLE RICK!!!!
Good looking model. You're right though, I have no idea how they fit a Custodian in there without liquefying him in a blender first.
That kit looks great. I'll never own one but it looks great. Thanks for the great video and review. peace
You say it's large, but I think you could squeeze a maximum of 3 Custodes in that if they laid on top of eachother. Someone cue the Pillar Men music.
i know this is an old video but i jsut picked one of these up. what size magnet did you need for the main turret?
What is the size of its base?? Is it the same size as the transport?
I hope you don't mind me asking but what size magnet did you use for the turret?
Great review thanks
Nice looking kit

william timonen well it's not painted gold yet lol so there's still time for it to look less like a tank haha
My Tank is already painted, but is it possible to magnetesize it now? It looks like you don't habe to drill any holls for the magnets?
Full Greys0n Yes it is still possible.
Can you tell me pls, from where you have the magnets for it?
Full Greys0n The turret section. It's in the video.
If you don't mind me asking where did you buy the magnets from? I'm looking for some for my tanks.
Shaf209 of course not. Bought them from first4magnets. Others recommend spidermagnets on eBay.
Didnt see this thanks for the reply
JUST AS PLANNED
Go tell fulgrim to stick it

Your comparison is negligible. The review was over 7 years ago. Plastic Sicarans have only been around 2yrs.
I love your vids, dude. but please, I don't know why it bugs me so much but it's pronounced "cust-oh-deez" as in "deez nuts"
