I recently aquired 2 of them both i5 4570's. One I set up for my 10 year old for her school work; thats a win10 pro machine. I then got a 2nd one to play with and put in my workshed. That one though I see now was a Win7 machine; I dont know if the built in windows license will let me put Win10 in. FWIW I have seen a video on YT from a few years ago where someone put in a XEON E3-1275L V3 - 940; that might be fun. Subscribed.
Got a HP EliteDesk gen 1 mini-pc with i7-4785T. Bought it purely for desktop use but then accidentally bumped into eGPU adapters which allows you to hook up an external GPU to the mini pc (PCIe over M.2). So now I got a 8GB GTX 1070 running with the minipc, surprisingly good low-end gaming mini-pc. Never imagined a 10-year old mini pc being able to handle games, also pretty new ones, this well in 1080p. Made a little surgery too for a better and pretty much totally silent cooling :) Couple of pics: img.aijaa.com/b/00764/15191554.jpg and img.aijaa.com/b/00604/15191555.jpg
@@kobolila-yt I assume you've already figured it out, but I'll just say this for anyone else with a similar question: These machines have their windows activation keys saved somewhere on the motherboard itself, and will automatically activate their windows keys for windows 10 if installing fresh.
You can also install a nvme drive into these, with just couple components and a vnme slot soldered in...the bios will recognize it afterwards...faster speeds,, reduced weight, and some slight power savings...
Do you have one of these Tiny PCs? What do you use it for?
