    Great Video Man!! I did a video on the M93P SFF, it turned out pretty nice. But I always advise people to just do a case swap so you have so many more options with graphics cards, even tho Lenovo blacklist most AMD Cards. I get these so cheap, so I pick em up, pop em in new cases and keep on flippin'!!! Keep up the great work RA!!!

    Thank you so much for this video. I've had a Lenovo M93p tower just like the one in this video as my main PC since August 2019. I currently have a 1GB GTX 750 (non Ti) in it I've owned for nearly ten years. I originally bought it for my previous PC. The GTX 750 is really starting to show its age, especially with its 1GB of VRAM, and I've been wanting to upgrade. This video gave me valuable information that I need to be able to upgrade. Thanks again.

      @@AzwynnI went with a GTX 1060 6GB, specifically the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1060 Mini ZT-P10600A-10L. There is also a 3GB version of this card that looks identical to the 6GB version. If you want the 6GB version make sure it says 6GB on the label on the back. Instead of using an adaptor for the power as they did in this video, I upgraded my power supply to a 450W power supply with the 14-pin Lenovo connector. It is Lenovo part number 54Y8899 and the model number is FSP450-50ETN.

    Feb 2022 - I just completed a M93P mod like this with keeping the i7. I upgraded to 32GB Ram, new SSD and a GTX 1060 6GB.
    I replaced the PSU with a 650 Watt so not to run into any power issues.
    Side note: I did have to obtain power cable adapter from Amazon to make the new PSU work as the Lenovo motherboard has a proprietary power connector.
    I am happy with the results and things are running great with 2 monitors.
    The only thing I am missing now that I would like to have working is the front USB 3 ports as I had to disconnect that USB 3 cable on the motherboard so the GPU would mount.
    (Where was the Lenovo engineering foresight team on that one? 😤)
    I am wondering if anyone knows of a low profile cable adapter so I can get the front USB 3 ports working again I would be grateful for the information. I'm thinking this is not possible though given the age of this.
    Thank you for the mod video.

      Dude! Very nice! I'm actually going to be modding this PC again and transferring it to a new case. I'll be covering all of those issues like the proprietary connector as well.
      As far as the usb3 connector, that unfortunately, is a flaw of the machine design. you could always add a pcie card with usb3 ports?

    • @franklidgad
      @franklidgad 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RAVisualsThere are USB 3 ports on the back that come with the motherboard already and adding a pcie card does not alleviate the problem of accessing USB 3 ports on the front. Right now I have just added a 1 foot USB extension cable which will suffice for now. At least I don't have to access the back which was really annoying. For my next PC I will go the new case route. I am very interested to see how the new Intel Arc graphic technology performs when it is released. I just hope it's not priced out of this world like the current GPU market.
