- We used our first full day in Saigon (HO CHI MINH City) to walk to a few different sights, and explore the city! We come across a few cool spots like the Book Street and Historic Post office (Cooler than it sounds) before grabbing some famous Banh Mi for dinner! (Turned out to be the first and BEST banh mi we have had in Vietnam)
We have since moved on from Saigon and can confirm the traffic is slightly less, but just as hectic wherever you are, but we are getting used to it!

You will love it in Ho Chi Minh! Especially once you are used to the mad traffic 😄 Warsaw and all of Poland was incredible, we are already planning to come back for the Christmas markets 😄
Mui Ne- The sand dunes are like being in the desert, Da Lat is cold, dreamy and romantic, Da Nang (one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet), Hue royal city (unesco), Hoi ancient town An (unesco), Hanoi - traditional values, Sapa - majestic mountains and finally Ha Long Bay - the natural wonder of the world. These places won't let you down.
If you have a lot of time, it will be very interesting to do a trip from the South to the North
Side note: in Saigon, in most cases, we are allowed to turn right during red lights (except for one way street). So when you guys cross the street at 1:52, some bikes kept going, cos they were turning right...

Yes do the water bus trip
as a baby i slept on the former south president bed that was taken after the fall of saigon as my grandpa was a high ranking official... that's my footnote in history... the book street is so nice good rest bite between walking (its near ANZ atm so i go there often to get money out more limit for withdrawal with aussie bank card). i've posted postcard from that post office, took forever i got back to australia before the postcard arrived a week later...

The statue is Nguyen Hue. He lived in 18th Century. He is the king who lead Vietnamese people repelled Qing Dynasty(China) and Siam Army (Thailand). Not Mongol. Anyway, Welcome to Vietnam

Why all foreigners not got Covid ! I'm an unlucky Vietnamese got Covid severely in Aug 2021 when I tried to go get first Jab, unfortunately I got Covid 30 mins before got the Jab. So bad now I'm a Long hauler 9 months in desperate and hopeless to find a treatment
Oh no you poor thing! We have been lucky so far and not gotten Covid - we are triple jabbed and need to get tested between each country.
