I am a Vietnamese and used to live in HCMC for more than 20 year since I was a student. Thanks for your video, it makes me reminisced every corner in the heart of city, so glad to see the city still growing day by day.
Vietnam is the best because it feels like you're on a movie set. It's a very romantic place with the French influence and architecture, retro feel, buzz in the streets, streetfood, fashion, aesthetics, lanterns etc.
Completely agree! you get all of that and then you throw in the natural wonders and how different each region of Vietnam is from the rest! I could go on and on haha ☺️
Guys, have watched your videos from day 1. Just wanted to say that your production quality has improved so much over the years. There's something to say for "raw" videos but you guys have also kept the authenticity, which gets lost with other TH-camrs over time. Great to see your viewer numbers increasing too 😊 hope the TH-cam algorithm gods treat you well, you deserve it! 📈
Woah! Thank you so much! It's a fine line balancing authentic and interesting so this means a lot to us! Not sure there's many people around from the early days so this comment means a lot!! 😊
The private boxes were probably for phone calls way back when. I remember placing calls to the US in the post offices in Europe in little booths just like that.
Thanks for the banh mi suggestion! Over here for work and chased it down! Not sure my lungs are happy about being downtown but the banh mi was worth it
Hi, love your videos. I visited Vietnam for the second time in early September. Like you, l love the place and its people. Saw a card game in Saigon called "Vietnamese Traffic" As you know the traffic signs and road rules are only advisory in Vietnam. I think I will wait for the video game to come out. Should be almost as much fun as crossing the road in Vietnam!
Hi 2 of you, if you are still in Ho Chi Minh City for a long time, I recommend you to try the following dishes: Hue beef noodle soup, papaya salad at Le Van Tam park, Nam Vang noodles, Vietnamese pho restaurant, egg coffee in Little Hanoi, Grilled beef sandwich, eel, delicious dishes in Chinatown, District 5, Diem Ho Thi Ky market, District 10, Broken rice, grilled pork noodles on Nguyen Trung Truc street, District 1, Number 1 chicken sticky rice restaurant, Hai Nam rice rolls on Cao Thang street, District 3, crab noodle soup on Nguyen Canh Chan street, District 1, spring rolls, and many more delicious dishes. If I remember, I will let you know, because I am also in Ho Chi Minh City.
Being in Canberra ( since 1980 ) Australian Citizen-Origin Vietnam. When i reach 67 years old, I will spend more time in Vietnam-Motherland. Enjoy your time there (VN).
The reason the renovation of the cathedral is taking so long is it is difficult to get the materials they need. Apparently, they have to source them from somewhere in Europe...
The booth is for private phone call xD They used to have a phone in them. Back in the day people don't have a phone of their own. They have to come to the post office to use public phone to call anyone. The way it work is you send them a mail to set the time and date, then you come to a post office to make a call, they come to another post office to pick up. :))

Woah! That makes sense then!

Cathedral Notre Dame under construction... how can you be so oblivious to history
😂 is a cathedral named Notre dame cathedral not very obviously under construction? What am I missing here!?
Vietnam and the food would be more enjoyable if the people didn’t throw garbage everywhere and the vendors practiced hygiene.
