I did this in like 2014 with 3908 emaxx on 6s and the trick I learned was that you need a longer leash. If it's too short, the angle to the truck is too steep and you'll pull the back end of the truck off the ground. With a longer leash, the angle is less steep and the back wheels will stay on the ground better. It kinda looks like you crouched a bit to alleviate the angle, which works, too (probably helps on wind resistance, too). I didn't hear anything about gearing through the video, but I normally gear down for pulls, you get more torque, and it's less heat on the motor.

If you want to achieve greater MPH speeds, you'll have to swap out your smaller rollerblading wheels for the 125mm (5 inch) Marathon Runner type Rollerblading wheels or purchase Rollerblades that accept 125mm Wheels. Your smaller wheels create more drag and slow you down since the wheels are not designed for the type of surface you were skating on. Upgrading to Rollerblades with Larger wheels will give you faster speeds, smoother rides, less drag, and even some off road capabilities. If you had larger wheels, I'm sure you could have achieved speeds of 65 MPH to 165 MPH+ depending on the surface being flat and smooth like the sidewalk or bumpy like sandpaper as you were riding on in the video. The wheel size and the surface you're riding on really make a huge difference with your results. 🤘😎🤘

And i'm amazed that it could pull the pick up truck without lifting the rear wheels ( on the xmaxx) from the ground, because the rope is at least at an angle of 20 degrees, so those tires do have some insane gripp on the tarmac alright.

@@637jaden3 If you have kids or if your a kid/young teen like me, I suggest using the xmaxx or maxx/hoss in light snow. Then tie a rope to a sled and slam that throttle. (I suggest around 3-5 inches of snow, it really just depends on your tire size and what kind of battery you have if you have a sufficient esc and motor).
Ok need your help here. I bought a new Xmaxx back in early March. Because of the weather here in the East my son and I only ran it 5 times. We ran it at a really big soccer complex, never jumped it, never abused it any way. The 6th time we went to run it the servo didn’t respond and so I called Traxxas Support right from the complex. The tech listened to me turn it back on and he immediately new the servo went and needed to be replaced. I then read this was happening to a lot of others. I’ve even heard the Traxxas servo upgrade also breaks a lot. Any ideas? It been just sitting since March because I just haven’t had the time and I am beyond disappointed in the Xmaxx because I drank the Kool Aid Thanks A Subscriber
Ah thats a bummer to hear! I had the same thing happen to mine. Yes the upgraded traxxas metal servo are a little disappointing, i went through two of them in a short period of time. Right now I have the - Powerhobby 729MBL Hige Voltage Waterproof Brushless Steel Gear High Torque 565 OZ/Speed .085 @ 8.4v Servo with Aluminum Case. I bought on Amazon for about $90 and so far its been doing really well and no issues. Its been awhile since I installed it but I believe you will also need the Traxxas Servo Adapter (Part 7749) since its a smaller servo. amzn.to/3sGGsDD
