Mk1 Ford Mondeo Scrapyard To Show Car

With just 2 weeks to turn my 1993 Mk1 Ford Mondeo from a Banger Rally participant into a Show car it was a mad rush to get everything bought, sprayed, cleaned and polished in time.
So much so I neglected to take a lot of video as just needed it done! Therefore, this is a little short insight into some of the things that were done.
Very happy with the result. Its not perfect but looking very factory with just a few things to cover at a later date but for now it was time to enjoy it in the sun at the Duchy Ford Club Show 2024.

Keep the engine! Clean the engine bay up especially the aluminum bits and it will look stunning. The originality of this car is what makes it unique and beautiful. Nice thing that you could get the number plate surround from Germany. Ford still has lots of bits for old Fords in storage in Cologne.

She has scrubbed up well for sure! In some way would be nice to not change the engine,
As the years roll on she will become a car of that era for folk to see. 👍

Thanks. Yes I'm really happy with it. Next up will replacing all the suspension components & deep cleaning and detailing the engine & bay.
