I used this "new to me" (ntm) workout for the cardio and cooldown portion of a set of 5 short workouts I put together this past Sunday to focus on coordination, upper and lower body strength, and cardio. I started with your "Improve Coordination" video as a warmup (ntm), moved on to your "5 Wall Exercises" (ntm), then used 5-lb. dumbbells with two of your 5-minute upper body workouts (old favorites), and used 3-lb. dumbbells with this workout. I did it as a HIIT workout and varied my moves a little bit in both the higher and lower intensity intervals instead of sticking with a straight walk all the time, basing my moves on things you've done in other workouts, but my basic go-to for the high intensity intervals was a medium-paced high march with alternating legs and arms. (May 1, 2024)
I liked this 1300 steps walking workout. I've not worked out for two to three weeks. I used 3- pound weights today. I work as a crossing guard, eight one hour shifts a week and it takes me fifteen minutes to walk to my corner one way. Hence, I get hours walk every day I work. I want to get a strength training workout this week as well. With using the weights today. I feel I got some strength work. It's good to stay in touch! Donna

What an innovative way to walk indoors! I'm not the biggest fan of HIIT, but I applied the HIIT approach with this one and it was great! My faster walks were quite fast and my arms with the 3 lb. weights were also at right angles which I pumped like pistons as fast as I was walking. I relished the rest periods and didn't mentally balk at the "lightening rounds." Great idea, April. Such a good job, Aiko! I really love this quick and easy workout, it makes a great work break! And I love that I can customize it with weights and with what I call a "wog" for a faster pace (a cross between a walk and a jog)! 🙂

This is a really useful workout to do along. Since I have piriformis problems, even walking is tiring. Now I can use it any time, to strengthen muscles while I work.

Sometimes my knees and hips need break from unusual moves so this is great….how about adding arm moves to a straight walk ?

as i am making my way back to walking, this is an excellent video to help - thankyou! i get to practice going faster safely. maybe one day might even be able to jog [but lets not run before i can walk :) ]

Is there a secret to finding the 7 day challenge in order. I have completed 1-3 but it’s sometimes a struggle to find them. These work outs a great for me because I am not in shape and these are getting me started.
