What an excellent tas! Was very excited to see what kinda ridiculous stuff could be pulled off to achieve this kinda time, and I was not disappointed! Very well done!
Just like the other two outstanding full completion TAS's of Crash 2 & Warped, this Crash 1 100% TAS is instantly legendary! Now if only we can get anyone of you or even a whole group of people and more to fully create, optimize and perfect 101%/106% and/or Max% completion TAS's on OG CTR, Wrath of Cortex & maybe even Crash 4: It's About Time to make me and everybody else who wants them all in the foreseeable future and more. Cause those will make me very happy like I've just all said before.
Crash Bandicoot is like Super Mario 64. It feels strangely and surrealistically off. It's probably the simple yet atmospheric soundtrack, or the old graphics, or something else. Like, I've always been put off by the gem route of Lights Out. When you get to the top and it's shows the sky, it's completely black instead of the starry night like in the end credits
The "level progress" percentage doesn’t update until you complete a Tawna bonus level or collect all gems. The saving system in this was rubbish, you could have all but one gem saved but if you didn’t save at the bonus you would end up at N. Sanity beach with 25 gems
I will Always Find it Funny How a TAS of 100% for all 3 Games Were Made Backwards now the Trilogy has a TAS for 100% My Question is now is Someone gonna do Crash Team Racing 100%
It's definitely something I'd like to do one day but it's one of many projects that I want to work on. Doing this TAS took me over 6 months and burnt me out pretty hard, so it could be a while. I could potentially see myself doing a 100% TAS with zip-zag and RS skip as something different enough from this though
@@declansmith6382 first of all it's a speedrun meaning the purpose is to complete the game at 100% as fast as possible using any way even glitches / bugs / skips, And second, a TAS mean it's not a human player that plays directly, he tell to the computer what commands to play at each frame (each image of the game) so it's a lot of work and optimization but at the end it look like a bot is playing (it's not a human gameplay) (took 6 months of work to get it done)

Power Chrystal 😂
YES WE FINALLY HAVE 100% TASES FOR THE FULL TRILOGY
Now we only need Crash 4, if we get enough computational power for savestates...
Naughty dog: We didn't give double jump to crash until the third game!

Can't wait for the commentary, I'm gonna be so hyped
1:19 that's just disrespectful...
You’ve just made my day amazing!
Incredible job!
Please keep making more of this🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥
This is the first time I’m hearing Crash’s Japanese voice…
How did we go from “BA-BADA-BAAAAA!!” To “BOO-YA-YAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Awesome TAS.
Crash Bandicoot the Original alongside Spyro the Dragon and Tekken 2 are my all time favourite PS1 games! 🙂
Crash at the beginning of the level: Eat some!
Crash at the end of the level: Whaaat?!?!
Even Crash is shocked at what he can do in TAS.
Now We Just Need A Stormy Ascent TAS
42:13 Crash Bandicoot Moonwalker

Thanks for the effort people!

So pumped. You gonna do commentary soon and explain some of the tricks? I imagine they're similar to the ones explained in your Crash 3 vid.
Yep a video with commentary and TASvideos submission should be up about Fridayish next week
That was 11/10 awesome!!!
Very Nice!
You literally went from 35% to 100% HOW
On the last gem you get, it automatically counts every tawna bonus level
The "level progress" percentage doesn’t update until you complete a Tawna bonus level or collect all gems. The saving system in this was rubbish, you could have all but one gem saved but if you didn’t save at the bonus you would end up at N. Sanity beach with 25 gems
It's because he haven't did tawna and nitrous brio's bonus stages

And i thought i was good at crash bandicoot
20:30 jump
Crash derp face XD
Would love to know what happens at 41:52. Really cool TAS though was great to watch :)
Thanks! Ill be putting out a commentary this friday to hopefully explain everything
Lol
Boss victory: Crash: Daddy!!!!!
Now that Rolling Stones revisit skip has been found, will you remake this TAS in the future?
It's definitely something I'd like to do one day but it's one of many projects that I want to work on. Doing this TAS took me over 6 months and burnt me out pretty hard, so it could be a while. nice
28:47 Montage moment, lul
Will this also be uploaded to the TASVideoChannel?
Yeah eventually it should be
@@The8bitbeast tyty but i still love your efforts here too!
In Jungle Rollers, how did he get all the gem without collecting Tawna tokens?
@@hornetscout2579 boxes from bonus stages arent needed for the gem (in the original version)

Me who finished crash bandicoot n same trilogy : *HOW TF DID HE DO THAT WHAT*
There's some programming trick they use to pull off that stuff
Lo mejor de mejor que barbaro
You should’ve speed run stormy ascent
Why this language?.. Well in international version it's same, but different language?
it loads slightly faster
@@zedsdeadbaby I wonder why they using Japanese language? Is it for, as it loads faster?
@@romalapin8648Some colored gems are located in different levels in the Japanese version, which spares you the backtracking.
This game is SOOO broken
There’s no way you can doble jump like that, no way, although crash noses sound like an Asian girl while taking a crap 💩
What changes the game with a tas

But how is it that gems can be earned when bonus levels are skipped?
In Crash 1, the crates you break in bonus levels aren't necessary to get the grey gem. Same goes for Brio tokens.
Gen 1
Interesting. I played crash 1 but that's just not how I remember it
What does TAS mean?
Tool assistance System or something
It mean A Computer is Playing the Game which Does things that a average player Can’t Perform Frame by Frame and Makes Everything looks Easy

How did he get the green gem in hog wild?
That's a difference between the Japanese & English version. For some reason they swapped gem locations around
Ok, and that’s for crash bandicoot 2 & 3 in the Japanese version?
Or they stay as the English version
i was here
