Okay, this entire challenge run was HILARIOUS! (Especially when you're taking down Super Mutant Brutes with a lead pipe. Much lulz!) Albeit, I keep thinking it might have been better to state that you could only use gear found within the Capitol Wasteland Vaults. There's quite a few of them and as ong you aren't looting hostile NPCs of ammo, armor, and weapons, that might actually save you some grief. Oh, well, you technically pulled it off, so congrats and have a like!

Hey Nerbit, apologies if you’ve already gotten a request for this but while playing through FO3 again I realized there’s a “chased by” challenge I don’t think you’ve done. Can you beat Fallout 3 while being chased by Victoria Watts? She’s the Railroad lady in Rivet City who starts hunting you down after you ask about the Synth in the Replicated Man quest, which you can start in Megaton. She’s either essential or protected because I’ve had her show up as I was raiding the fort where you need to collect the keys for Crowley, and she kept getting knocked unconscious by the enemies there. Could be fun! Either way thanks for considering it!

I bet after the MGS saga, having dialogue that doesn’t rival the length of your average multi book fantasy epic probably raised your spirits quite a bit.
Patrolling the mojave almost makes you wish for Nerbit to beat Fallout: New Vegas as Rambo or Dutch Van Der Linde
An interesting combo with this could be beating TTW with only the items from Doc Mitchell's house and the Vault. Start in the capital wasteland, travel to New Vegas, get items in "Trouble on the Homefront", and complete both games with only those items.
A run based on using only items from Vaults or one place are fun
Ive got a dumb challenge idea that I don't think you've done before. Can you beat fallout 4 as an athlete. You just can't let go of the forward button and no crouching.

Surprised you didn’t grab, or even mention, the Junk Jet blueprint’s. You probably wouldn’t even be able to craft it and the ammo would be very limited, but it would still be funny to pull it out to kill Colonel Autumn with coffee mugs.
I would consider the 112 Jumpsuit a quest item and therefore wearing it is not a rule break since you cannot beat the game normally without it.

Fumbled the bag by not recruiting Butch as a follower, he's from the vault so is a legal strategy
For your 111th challenge run you should do the same thing as here but in fallout 4 with vault 111. And maybe in the future a New vegas one but stuff only from doc Mitchell's house.

Here's a run idea. "Can you beat fallout 3 without getting radiation poisoning." You can take rads but you can't remove them. And as soon as you get rad poisoning the run is failed.
-Gets a perfect run multiple hours in
-Try to retrieve the GECK
-Immediately drops dead

This whole challenge is crazy with how restrictive it is. Only Vault 101 items, nothing from the wasteland. This will be a very interesting and entertaining run to watch.

Nah m8, it's a community of Sadists, because some of the suggested "runs" aren't all that reasonable or even possible. Heck, some of them are just random nonsense because someone was literally high at the time while making it.

My favorite part of these challenges is the stipulations Nerbit follows, like not using his fists in this one, or watching all the cutscenes in the mgs challange. It really makes it feel like hes doing this for the sport of the challenge and not to just cheese his way through for content and I respect that massively

Nerbit, just so you know the slow movement speed is a bug in Fallout 3. When you equip a weapon or armor that you have multiple copies of in your inventory the game gets confused and thinks you're wearing all of them at the same time therefore you're technically wearing like 150lbs of armor or weapons which massively slows you down. Dropping or storing the gear somewhere will restore movement speed back to normal :)

That sounds like typical Bethesda spaghetti code garbage to me. Like they didn't know how to do separate item slots and equipped items.
That speech RNG is incredible. I don't think I've ever seen a speech check under 10% succeed in any Fallout game I've played.
I've tried this before. It's "technically" possible, but you need to build around your stuff. Leveling Repair is a lifesaver.
This seems like something that would be fun to see repeated with Sanctuary or Goodsprings, or at least designated sections of those starting locations. Maybe F4 with only crafted items?
I feel like the general consensus is that either fallout 3 or fnv are the best in the game personally i prefer fnv but i like the fallout 3 dlc more
Nice job as always Nerbit!! Do you plan on making these types of runs in Fallout 1 and 2 as well? I recall you had some technical issues with them before but I believe they would be a blast to run some wacky challenges

wait if you arent allowed to use fists cause they obviously belong to the lone wanderer who wasnt born in vault 101, wouldnt that mean you couldnt use any skill checks either since its the lone wanderers skills and you are limiting yourself to not use his powers since he is not born in the vault 101? I havent watched it further yet but maybe you will address this later.

Nice run as always. Challenge idea: Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as an Omerta Thug? Become the very thing you swore to destroy! The hardest part though, you cannot kil- I mean meet them as you usually do.

Maybe he wanted to avoid the problem that would come from differenciating the junk you pick up in the Vault for ammo from the junk in the wasteland, unless he decided to use them only once.

@@Sletchman I can't remember if it's the schematic or the full weapon in the vault or not. If it is just the schematic, then it probably won't work, unless you do some save scum RNG to try to get the best spawns, but I dunno what all CAN spawn in vaults
You could have also skipped straight to Vault 112 soon as you got out of Vault 101. Liam Neeson would have still had you clear out the Jefferson Memorial of Super Mutants, but you were going to have to do that regardless unless you used the Quicksave/Quickload trick to get to Murder Pass.

I've honestly never watched Mitten Squad, Nerbit is the only "(x) FO3/NV/4 Challenge" runner I've watched so far. His voice is oddly calming and his commentary is amusing.

I’ve played Fallout for years and never once have I played with the toys that the beginning. Literally had me in tears! 😂
Skyrim Minecraft Challenge; you must only use items you craft yourself; No looting, No purchasing, not even materials; you have to gather those yourself. You can loot the pickaxe, fishing rod, and woodcutter's axe you need to get started, but everything else you use for combat MUST be crafted by you, with materials you gathered yourself. The only horse you're allowed to use is the dwemer automoton, as that's the only one you can craft. No fast Travel. You must construct a fully functioning house and only use that one for your home, and optionally, add all crafting stations. Then you must complete the main quest with only weapons and armor you crafted yourself from materials you mined/gathered yourself. Any gold you need to complete these goals, like buying the plot of land for the house, must be "crafted" yourself; Mine the gold, smelt it, sell it for septims. Alternatively, you can sell other things you've made, as long as you do not purchase any gear, potions, food, or materials. You MAY purchase training, but again, only with gold you craft.
I strongly desire to see a similar premise performed in the other Fallout games.

Run idea: Can you beat Skyrim as a Sith Lord? (Spark spell only and black mages robes)
Your expereince with the lead pipe is exactly why it's my favorite melee weapon. Fast speed, high damage, low weight, and high value combine to form a weapon that can save your life with high enough melee skill but also one you can carry a lot of and sell for a good price (by Fallout 3 standards)
I have suggested this before but I really want too see u do it nerbit, fallout 3/vegas/4 as a zeyton or alien 👽
I just got an idea for a good challenge.
The Vault Boy challenge. Try playing one of the Fallout games on hardcore mode, but you can only use items from vaults, as well as only sleep in a vault.
Fallout 4 would be pretty easy because one of the vaults has a shop, Doctor… etc and it’s centrally located… but I think this would be a decent challenge where some careful route planning and a proper build would be the key to success. No random wandering for the Vault Boy… you can’t stray too far from a nice safe VaultTec Vault!

I like the idea of the protagonist just takes the direct route to the ending and EVERYONE thinks they are either nuts or an arse by what they do as they seem insane.

Honestly, might consider doing a run with only the Vault 101 Security Armor. I've always liked the way it looked compared to the one in Fallout 4.

Great vid as always Nerbit! I usually keep the 10mm Amata gives me throughout my playthroughs, but never thought about ONLY relying on whatever I could carry out of 101. Hope you don't mind me posting a challenge idea here but:
Can you beat Arkham Knight (or any of the Arkham games) in one night? Maybe use the in-game starting time (if it's ever stated or inferred) as your start time? No idea if this would work but might be fun to try!
Can you beat fallout (any of The Three) only using each weapon once? (Throwing weapons banned) (if 4, bashing counts as using)
As, one swing of weapon, one shot and you have to throw it away. You can carry 20 10mm pistols and just shoot once, each. or 50 pipes and smack stuff once, each.
Grenades, bombs, javelins (OR SAND) and such are banned as they are 1 use only anyway. (Fist weapons we can allow to use twice if they cover both fists, fists are included, after 2 punches you cant swing more)
You can extend it to armor needs to be changed after taking one hit. But thats going to be a nightmere.
Can you beat Fallout 4 as a vegetarian?
You CAN'T use items that contain meat or blood to heal (that includes stimpaks since their crafting recipe contains a bloodpack), leaving mostly plant-based consumables to heal.
Since you are a vegetarian not a vegan you CAN eat stuff like BlamCo Mac & Cheese or YumYum Deviled Eggs.
As an added challenge don't kill animals unless you're forced to do so (eg. Mirelurk Queen in the Castle for the Minutemen Quest)
Here are 3 challenges for you:
1# can you beat NV as a ww2 soilder? Can only use weapons from ww2, and u must side with the ncr.
2# can you beat NV as Indiana Jones, must look like Indi and you must collect every wild wasteland item as well as every unique wapon except for the spcial gauss cannon.
3# can you beat skyrim as emperor plapatine? Can only wear dark robes and use lightning
I read the title as, "Can you beat Fallout New Vegas with only items from Vault 101?" I don't why I did but it gave me a new video idea. Maybe install A Tale of Two Wastelands mod and try and beat new vegas with items from vault 101 or fallout 3? Just a suggestion...
You should've kept Amata and the overseer alive for the trouble on the home front quest to regain and resupply later on
