Hey Nerbit, thank you for narrating the story as you go. I’ve put hundreds of hours into these games like so many, but it keeps every playthrough fresh
I'm nearly certain that Loyal's Detonator auto equips when you get into the fight spot to set it off. Also, an interesting side effect of the Stealth Suit from Old World Blues, and/of having lots of Auto-Inject Stimpacks, is that when you die, you hear super deeply (since time has slowed in the death animation); "Haaaavvveee aaaa stimpack...." And then that pneumatic "hiss" of a Stimpack injecting, over, and over, and over, and over, and over as the auto's and/or the Stealth Suit desperately inject your dead body trying to get your health back up. It's pretty amusing to listen to.
@@mappingshaman5280 there are other places where the game auto equips a weapon. Like the varmint rifle with Sunny Smiles' shooting tutorial, the shotgun you get from Cachino towards the end of the Omertas quest, or when you take the job at the van Graffs and get a laser or plasma weapon depending on your choice. So it would be extremely easy to hold off the shooting tutorial, do the quest for the Boomers, then go back to Goodsprings to get the varmint rifle, which you can sell to unequip it.

Despite how iconic the mini nukes in Fallout are, I just realized that don't think I ever seen you use one in your runs. Is a nuke-only run possible? Or would it force you into pacifist tactics often?
That actually sounds extremely interesting. And I guess anything that spreads the nuclear glow would be included? So can we call it "Can you beat New Vegas as Child of Atom"
I believe that the corpse at 19:25 is the guy who runs the nearby GrubHub shack (or whatever it's called), since they are technically NCR aligned. I always seemed to get jumped by Legion assassins whenever I fast travel near that location, and he and his wife(?) often join in the fight (and die, because they are wearing clothing and not real armor). I have a new challenge run idea for multiple games. Can you beat (game) as the poster boy. The idea is that you have to finish the game while using the same weapons and armour as the main character on all the posters for whichever game you are playing example: playing through Skyrim as a Nord with a steel sword, iron helmet, gauntlets and studded leather armour.
7:49 This is why playing a female courier is the best option in the game, you take black widow, you sleep with him, and then you choose the option to kill him

"...and most painfully of all, no fast travelling" Ah yes, my first playthrough of Fallout New Vegas where I just didn't Fast Travel except a few times at the beginning around Goodsprings and its graveyard.
Good run per usual. Always fun to see how the obstacles are dealt with. How about, "Can you beat fallout new vegas as an Omerta Thug?" Become the very thing you swore to destroy!
Great job with this one, Nerbit! I have a challenge for you that might be interesting Can you beat Fallout 3 Using Only Unique Weapons? The rule is simply that you can only use one weapon per enemy and then have to use something else for the next one and so on. Thus you have to constantly change your attack style and can't really put points into any particular combat type. Thanks again for the great content!
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as Jesus Christ? Challenge: Beat the main game (DLCs are optional) without killing anyone unless necessary. You must also forgive any and all living creatures, no matter how bad they may be. This means you have to help anyone you come across, and try to get a happy ending for everybody. You can only use Maria, Gehenna, and the Holy Frag Grenade because they are religious. You can also use the basic sledge hammer and nail gun because Jesus was a carpenter. Maybe play high Charisma, Luck, and Endurance. Charisma for speech, Luck because he performed miracles, and Endurance because he spent 40 days and 40 nights fasting in a desert. Probably take the Animal Friend perk so you don't have to kill them. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to comment.
Love these videos, so I though I'd contribute to another New Vegas idea: Can you beat the game as a Powder Ganger? You can only use gear and weapons found on Powder Gangers (meaning only their cloths and their Dynamite), must complete every quest from the gang's members, and must oppose the NCR for obvious reasons.
I have no clue if kids can get into that place he was at and magically detected, but I noticed in fallout 3. If a kid is asleep or sitting down somewhere, the whole interior where they're at gets lit up. And the only way to get them to calm down is to get them to get up on their own, I tried to force this kid to get up. But when he did, he kept detecting the whole ass building till he left
13:06 You didn't destroy the weapons stockpile during the runs where you slaughtered the Omertas 16:05 REPCONN Test Site is a good source of Sensor Modules and you can clear the building of enemies during Come Fly With Me without killing a single enemy or in your case since you can't use Stealthboys in the run killing a single ghoul. The Feral Ghouls are taken away by the Bright Followers after you tell Jason Bright that the Nightkin are gone. The Nightkin leave after you tell Davison about the Stealthboy shipment, although this requires you to access the terminal just behind Harland and he'll turn hostile if you use the door to the stairway. There is a way to get Harland out of the way without killing him, but I don't think it isn't possible to sneak all the way to the prison to find his friend and make it all the way back without a Stealthboy.
It is possible to sneak all the way to Harland’s friend and back especially if u got a stealth boy. u gotta take the correct path and stay behind the jailer until u can reach the stairs
Challenge Idea Can you beat skyrim as THE Dragonborn(Now Ik what you are thinking but hear me out) Obviously you already are the Dragonborn in skyrim so the answer to that question is an Obvious yes. What makes this a challenge? Well I'll Explain. So in all the Skyrim promotion the Dovakiin is always show wearing the Iconic Iron Helmet, studded Armor, and Iron Gauntlets and Boots and is always a Nord, he also use the steel sword and Branded Iron Shield. So the Goal of this Challenge is to beat skyrim while actually looking like the Dragonborn and using the same gear. As for the Rules. You must play as a Male Nord(Try to make your character look as close to how the Dovakiin looks in all the promotion) You must equip yourself with an Iron Helmet, Iron Boots Iron Gloves, and studded armor, and Wield a Steel or skyforge Steel Sword and a Branded Iron shield. You can use bows to shoot at airborne dragons and whatever bow you find is fair game. (But you cannot become a stealth Archer) You may Improve your gear Via Smithing. You may also Enchant your gear via Enchanting. You must Level up Regularly, there is to be no refusing to level up to prevent enemies from scaling to your level.(No Exploity Bullshit) You may use companions if you desire to do so You must Learn all Available shouts (DLC included) You will have to complete the Dragonborn DLC but only after defeating Alduin (Defeating Mirrak marks the end of the Challenge) You will have to play thru the Dawnguard DLC (To learn Soul Tear and Summon Durniviir) but you dont necessarily have to complete the Dawnguard storyline but you can for bonus points. If you want you can split the Video into part 1 and part 2 depending on how long it takes. And that's about it. I do hope that you see this and eventually do this challenge.
In a inventory restricted run like this, if you want to take the time to complete the brother hood quest line, not only will you get the power armor training, but it auto equips the set for, being much better than any auto equipped items in the game.
One thing you could do to somewhat circumvent this challenge is go into dead money or old world blues respectively and once you end the initial Dialoge you should auto equip the holorifle or the sonic gun

Video idea can you beat fallout new vegas by only looting hollowed out rocks
Still waiting to see if you can beat Skyrim as Lincoln
"...and most painfully of all, no fast travelling"
Ah yes, my first playthrough of Fallout New Vegas where I just didn't Fast Travel except a few times at the beginning around Goodsprings and its graveyard.
I love the intro of Nerbit messing around with the corpses of the Omerta leaders.
Good run per usual. Always fun to see how the obstacles are dealt with. How about, "Can you beat fallout new vegas as an Omerta Thug?" Become the very thing you swore to destroy!
Great job with this one, Nerbit! I have a challenge for you that might be interesting
Can you beat Fallout 3 Using Only Unique Weapons?
The rule is simply that you can only use one weapon per enemy and then have to use something else for the next one and so on. Thus you have to constantly change your attack style and can't really put points into any particular combat type.
Thanks again for the great content!
Im pretty sure he did this one already
I have the omniscient Van Graff's bug as well, for some reason if you stand, not sneak, perfectly still when you pick it up they won't be alerted
These videos make me smile so much. Love the content, just hope I can come up with an interesting challenge idea eventually.
during the back in the saddle quest, sunny smiles gives you a varmint rifle which automatically equips so you could have used that
21:10 Lanius: "How do you wish to die? In combat... or on your knees?"
13:06 You didn't destroy the weapons stockpile during the runs where you slaughtered the Omertas
16:05 REPCONN Test Site is a good source of Sensor Modules and you can clear the building of enemies during Come Fly With Me without killing a single enemy or in your case since you can't use Stealthboys in the run killing a single ghoul.
Nerbit is going crazy with content and I love it! Thank you for the videos and making me laugh at cheeky references!
11:18 I've seen Nerbit's run where the radio man _obliterated_ the ants. Yeah, he'll be fine.
Challenge Idea
Can you beat skyrim as THE Dragonborn(Now Ik what you are thinking but hear me out)
Obviously you already are the Dragonborn in skyrim so the answer to that question is an Obvious yes.
You must play as a Male Nord(Try to make your character look as close to how the Dovakiin looks in all the promotion)
You must equip yourself with an Iron Helmet, Iron Boots Iron Gloves, and studded armor, and Wield a Steel or skyforge Steel Sword and a Branded Iron shield.
You can use bows to shoot at airborne dragons and whatever bow you find is fair game. (But you cannot become a stealth Archer)
You may Improve your gear Via Smithing.
You may also Enchant your gear via Enchanting.
You must Level up Regularly, there is to be no refusing to level up to prevent enemies from scaling to your level.(No Exploity Bullshit)
You may use companions if you desire to do so
You must Learn all Available shouts (DLC included)
You will have to complete the Dragonborn DLC but only after defeating Alduin (Defeating Mirrak marks the end of the Challenge)
You will have to play thru the Dawnguard DLC (To learn Soul Tear and Summon Durniviir) but you dont necessarily have to complete the Dawnguard storyline but you can for bonus points.
If you want you can split the Video into part 1 and part 2 depending on how long it takes.
And that's about it. I do hope that you see this and eventually do this challenge.
That's actually not how Fallout was made too play
The Pipboy is needed for Quest Logs and Map data as well as fast travel if you need to use that
In a inventory restricted run like this, if you want to take the time to complete the brother hood quest line, not only will you get the power armor training, but it auto equips the set for, being much better than any auto equipped items in the game.
Always love the new vegas runs thanks for another vid nerbit
One thing you could do to somewhat circumvent this challenge is go into dead money or old world blues respectively and once you end the initial Dialoge you should auto equip the holorifle or the sonic gun
You could have done the quests for the BoS, because as soon as you are a paladin, you get power armor IMEDEATLY on you. That was a massive blunder.
19:00
on the Legion Assassins on the way to El Dorado, I've been attacked there before. a Travelling Merchant Caravan does come to your aid if it's right place, right time.
