Can you beat Fallout 3 / 4 / NV as a law-abiding citizen?
- Generally can't attack anyone unless in self-defense (not even non-lethal assault).
- Can't provoke enemies to try to attack you first with any sort of speech that would legally count as a threat.
- Otherwise, can only attack someone if they have committed a capital offense and you have proof of it (not just hearsay from a quest-giver). When you go to attack them, you have to make your legal case against them.
- Must cross roads at crosswalks whenever available.
- Must not drop items (because that would be littering).
- Must not pickpocket, steal, trespass without a valid reason (capital offense with proof), etc.

Add on only using "Civilian" weapons I.E., only using something that an average American could purchase after acquiring a background check. No energy weapons, Explosives, Knuckledusters, switchblades, So on. And for ease of use let's just say The Courier has a concealed carry permit.
Plus no chems unless you get them from a doctor. Alcohol is fine just make sure to set the age past 21

2:47 - You have NO idea how satisfying it is to FINALLY see someone go and get Chance's Knife at the start of a run - I always do it no matter what kind of build I'm running since at the bare minimum it's worth a good amount.
The thing is it's often not worth the risk with all the cazadors. And by the time you're able to reliably take them down you most likely already have far better options than a knife. Unless you're doing a sneaking build.
Im not saying it's not worth it at ALL even aside from the as you said selling for a good amount. It's still a decent weapon.
Chances knife is the ONLY weapon affected by both grunt and cowboy perks. Coupled with all the melee perks it is not to be underestimated. I think it can actually do as much dps as any weapon in the game if you spec it right.
@@Guardian-of-Light137 Also if you know what you are doing you can go straight to chances grave encountering ZERO cazadores. You can then simply fast travel back to goodsprings and either head south to do the natiralnorder of quests or east to hidden valley / black mountain. I usually get it then head north spamming stimpacks. Usually only get one or two stings.
I go to get the Q-35 Plasma gun, it always on the floor despite how many installs i do..
I think that gun and that one Xcom Solider are going to haunt me.
@@Subject_Keter Sometimes do that as well or instead especially if energy weapon specced. Went in at level one the other week on a playthrough and because I had a high luck and knew work arounds such as going on the robot tour I managed to get key cards etc to get the q35 at level one. Never done they before. Didn't have to pick a lock or hack a computer. Encompassing just how amazing this game is in a single location. There is almost always another way to do things.
The Morbius part at 14:01 caught me off guard, gave me a very good laugh though.
The best part? Dr Mobius is actually (partially) named after a *different* character named Morbius. He's partially based on Dr Morbius from the 1956 movie Forbidden Planet.

here's a spin on the idea: every ten minutes you spin a wheel that picks a random letter of the alphabet, you can only use gear and weapons that start with that letter for the ten minutes.

You can only save and heal at fire places out in the world and other than your starting weapon you can only use weapons used by boss characters ( any named character ) keep up the fun videos

Im surprised that while at Big MT you didn't get the auto doc upgrade that lets you redo your perks and get wild wasteland to get the alien blaster.

I loved the tracking of which weapon you were using and/or the next condition you needed to fulfill for challenges that aren't just single weapon.
Can you beat fallout as mad max
I’d like to see a mod that implements this automatically as a sort of “gun game” type setup. When you get a kill, it automatically swaps to the next letter and removes the previous weapon.
This has been one of my favorite challenge videos so far the unique nature of the challenge is so fun I want to try it on my own.
Just had a great idea for a challenge run. Playing Fallout -insert which game here- without stealing. This means no stealing or looting dead bodies unless it is essential to game progression and you can only acquire stuff if it is given to you as a gift or if you bought it. This would include junk, caps and armour too. I would put this on a more descent video but they were both age restricted despite the fact I watched the nerbit compilation the other week. I’ll probably mention this on the next video too
First time I've heard of an alphabet challenge. Let's see how this goes.
For A, you could have used the AER14 Prototype laser rifle, which you can find in the staircase section between level 5 and 4 in vault 22 (you need to repair the elevator, go down to level 5, go to the staircase area, and go up until you see a path blockage, in front of which you’ll find the laser rifle)
Extra info: It has very good damage, and a unique look, distinguishing it from the normal laser rifle

cool idea, it really showcased the weapon diversity of NV. wonder how it'd go in Fallout 4
Now time to do the ABC challenge but you get every weapon (including ones that start with numbers) and get a kill with every single one of them.
I think this run would've been more interesting if you gave yourself infinite carry weight and every single weapon in the game and went down the list alphabetically only able to kill a person once with each weapon
Do a similar challenge: gun game. You have to switch weapons after every kill if thats an option or after killing a group of enemies, since I know it would be hard to steal an enemy weapon in the middle of a combat situation. You can only use weapons looted from dead enemies as your next weapon and you're only allowed to repair if the weapon happens to be the same as the one you looted, otherwise its not allowed. This means no finding weapons in crates, tables, etc. You only don't have to switch weapons if the enemy you kill is something like an animal or ghoul who doesn't have an actual weapon

Can you beat Dead Money without healing a single time?
rules: no stimpaks, no auto-doc, no regen implant, must be on hardcore, must head straight to the DLC from Goodsprings. endurance must be set to 5 or less to avoid health regen, use of buffout is allowed if you are 1 hit away from death, however, your END must be limited to 2 if you wish to make use of it. you MUST defeat Elijah, trapping him is not allowed.
if you are too annoyed by concussions, healing your head is acceptable with a doctor's bag. other consumables that do not heal (but have positive effects) are allowed, including fixer and med-x. you may heal to full health before beginning the DLC as the challenge only really starts once you're there.
I’ve just recently started to play the fallout games, I played fallout 3 and new vegas and they were amazing. My first playtime on both games after completing was around 14/16 hours. I can’t imagine the effort you put into these videos I gotta give you credit man. Fun videos too not just 40 minutes of talking 😂

Ive got a suggestion: It's called the "weapon swap challenge" Its typically used for CoD multiplayer, but the premise is that you start with your weapon but once you kill someone, you pick up their weapon and use that. then when you kill someone again you pick up their weapon and use that. so on and so forth.
Definitely one of the most unique challenges I’ve ever seen for fallout
I have what I think is a good challenge run in New vegas. You have to use all the firearms from pistols to rocket launchers BUT you can only use on clip of the different ammo types per weapon for example the 12 gauge you can use 5 rounds of the bean bag but the you have to switch to buckshot then drangon breath after you use one clip of each ammo type for the gun you have to switch to the next gun and do the same till every gun has been used then you can start the process all over again. I fell like it will be difficult because certain ammo types are rare and hard to find but that's what makes it a challenge.
I’d honestly like to see a build where you craft throwing knife spears and put poison on them and do something with that
This run was so weird, it almost makes me want to try it. Also i'm not sure if this was suggested already but a run trying to beat skyrim with only shouts could be an interesting thing to puzzle out.
When I read alphabet challenge I thought it was something I tried out where you kill everybody in alphabetical order. It’s a pain because one of the first names on the list is both mutually exclusive and requires killing Vulpes first.
Challenge idea: You can only use weapons, armor, and attacks that have the word "hunter", "ranger", or some other synonym in them.
The more i think about the "Can you beat New Vegas as Mobius" challenge, the more it seems like a bad Idea. Since you'd have to beat Old World Blues at level 1 and without killing anything. Then again you do love challenges, or atleast have a very entertaining way of dealing with them.
I was today years old when I learned that Doc Mitchell gives you different weapons based on your tagged combat skills.

I didn't even realize it was _possible_ to fight the giant robo-scorpion. I always shut it down by sneaking.
"Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas as Freddy Krueger?", a challenge where you have to beat the game as ghoul (as a mod, of course). But you have to only wear (Dirty) pre-War spring outfit, any fedora hat (meaning Dapper Gambling Hat, Fancy Gambling Hat, Stylish Gambling Hat, Fedora, or Vance's Lucky Hat), Your main weapon will always be Deathclaw Gauntlet or Fist of Rawr (or Fist of North Rawr with Wild Wasteland Trait).
The Twist now would be that you can only kill people when they're asleep, as we obviously know that every npc (not including Mr. House since he technically is in a bed machine) goes to bed. Though you can use Mister Sandman perk, as you please but it would be easier just sneak up then give them a love tap with a giant deathclaw fist. But what faction to choose from for the ending would be really up to anyone's choice to see what Freddy would choose, although he is just a psychopathic dream serial killer.
This idea came from seeing "Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas as Leatherface" and "Can you beat Fallout 3 with only a toy knife", as he went with more Jason Voorhees style approach. So figured to keep the classic horror villains trend going.

You can access Joshuas weapons (In the Xbox 360 version of the game at the very least) by shooting the weapons out of his hand, having an enemy do that for you, or having it knocked from his hands in an explosion. Thats how I got my pistol whippin 45.

I would've made the rule you must use a weapon with the letter UNLESS there isn't one in the game, then you move to apparel with the same letter, if that doesn't work, then you move to items in general (like jet) and must use one of those WHILE killing the enemy.

Here's an idea: Can you beat New Vegas as Dean Domino?
Clothing/armor: Pre-War Businesswear until you can get White Glove Attire or Dean's Tuxedo, Authority Glasses until you can get Dean's Glasses.
Weapons: 9mm pistols (including Maria)
SPECIAL: 6 Strength, 4 Perception, 8 Endurance, 7 Charisma, 6 Intelligence, 8 Agility, 5 Luck
Perks: Rad Child, Lead Belly, Rad Resistance, Rad Absorbtion (to simulate being ghoulish), Sierra Madre Martini
Optional perks: Junk Rounds, Light Touch, Old World Gourmet, Hobbler (All perks introduced in Dead Money), Lady Killer, Fortune Finder (To simulate Dean's celebrity status), Chemist, Chem Resistant (to simulate the probable hard drinking that Dean's probably done)
Other: Must complete Dead Money, must use Sierra Madre Martinis at least once during the run, preferably more, cannot use Rad-X or Radaway; can use a Playable Ghoul mod or the Ghoul Mask if it's modded in.
Well, I dunno if you'll see this but I have a few suggestions:
1. Beat the Dead Money DLC (or anything else) as Solid Snake. Silenced weapons, a bandana, and NEVER be detected by an enemy. "Caution" is ok.
2. Beat Fallout New Vegas without ever leveling up (something I think you can do with console commands, if I remember). You have to stay at level 1 the entire playthrough.
3. Beat Fallout 3 using only landmines.
now i want to make a mod where every time you get a kill, your weapon is swapped to a random weapon beginning with the next letter of the alphabet
Here's an challenge: Deathloop mode. You must sleep once every 16 in game hours, at which point all stats must be reset and items must be dropped, if you die, you can reload your last save in safety, but you must also drop everything and reset all stats and perks. If you want it to be really hard, just like deathloop all quests must be done before the 16 in game hours are up.
Honestly a fun challenge idea for fallout new vegas I might give this a go

I definitely think a Fallout 4 or Skyrim run where you have to only use food to heal/regenerate stamina would be interesting, maybe not difficult, but you could potentially do the run on Master or Legendary (or appropriate FO4 difficulty)

Here's a possible idea to add to the list. In Sid Meier's Pirates can you rescue your family using only an indian war canoe?
It seems that at 17:05 you thought the Tri-Beam was the Laser Rifle, and the next weapon was the Machete. Letter order still adds up with two stray kills before Papa Khan.
You don't need 100 lockpick to get the Q35, grab the repconn key card from the 3rd floor and then go downstairs to the 2nd level, there is a door which is unlocked with said key card which gives access to the room with the Q35
Eyepatch challenge. Playthrough with only half the screen visible. The other half blacked out.
Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas by only reverse pickpocketing explosives?
Some ideas, to spice things up. Not required by any stretch should you attempt this:
1. Only Frag Grenades, Frag Mines, and any form of dynamite, to limit your arsenal
2. Do Elder McNamera's quests to join the Brotherhood, because suffering builds character
3. A successful pocket explosion from stealth means no reputation loss, so try to have maximum reputation with as many factions as possible/you want
4. You are allowed perks like Robotics expert and speech to shut down robots or talk down an opponent. With the shutting down robots, you aren't killing them, just disabling their AI and ripping their soul from the still "living" body.
Have fun with this, I did this run myself so I know it's possible, even managed to get the Arcade Gannon power armor for fun so I had over 50 DT and could laugh at almost everyone in the game as they tried to hurt me.

Doing a version of this run but also am doing the Honest Hearts DLC with the same rules - planning out my loadout to get around the weight limit was actually really interesting and kinda fun.
What about a truly randomized run? You'd use the Randomizer mod, of course, but you would also flip a coin to decide which quests to take, whether to help the GoodSprings settlers or the Powder gangers, that sort of thing

You can get the Matter Modulator without any of the skills checks. You gotta get into just the right spot upstairs from in and you can drop down the hole and get it no porblem

Throw them to kill enemies, and you can also use the minigun on the vertibird as well
I'm doing something relatively similar. Starting at Z, I use and break every weapon in the game alphabetically. It's taking forever, but it's fun.

Dunno if this has been suggested before but here goes.
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as Freddy Krueger?
You have to mainly use a claw gauntlet, though if any weapons fit any of the kills Freddy has made its allowed (Example, he kills a kid with the Power Glove once so you can use the Power Fist), though you can't use anything relating to fire since Freddy...doesn't really have a good track record with fire let's say (Bonus points if you can find a way to make yourself take more damage from fire).
The main idea is you have to try and mainly kill people when they're sleeping (Unless its impossible since they don't sleep, for example the Legate), since Freddy kills people in their dreams. Which once you can get it you'll mainly use the Mister Sandman perk for.
As a bonus, since Freddy kills people in very inventive ways given he does it in the dream world, feel free to try and get fancy with some of the non-sleeping kills if you want.

Ever considered 'Can you beat Fallout 4 as Mega Man?' Have to wear blue colored power armor, can only use weapons you get from 'Bosses', and maybe the first handgun you find and have to rename them Mega Man Style. I dunno if there's a mod to allow for Mega Man like equipment but it'd be interesting if there was. Either that or get a robot work bench and build Mega Man and let him do the fighting, lol.

If you free Raul without alerting the guards or repairing her robot companion, Tabitha will chase you down even if you're sneaking. I had her appear in FREESIDE by the Vegas Gate, so she does indeed follow you quite far.
