@@SoggyHotDoggy I feel like Twinsanity divided two groups apart that would result in most people only seeing one group more often than the other. I remember seeing EVERYONE like Twinsanity on discussion boards and around the internet. Up to now, I'm only seeing the people who HATE it. I would imagine they hate people like me who like the hell out of Twinsanity or they're tired of hearing people say that Twinsanity was "the best post ND Crash game before the remakes blah blah". It's funny how the community works.
@@thehr99 Nah you just might have been too young to remember, but EVERYONE was shitting on twin sanity when it released. Anyone that was old enough to play through the og crash trilogy was disgusted with how bad the series had gotten by that point. Twinsanity was slightly better than wrath, but it was still a bad game overall.

18:15 When I was a kid, I had a few games made by Radical: like Hit & Run, Crash OTT and Crash MOM, and I swear the shared sound effects gave me PTSD, especially the one they use for mojo/coins, which you'll hear 99% of the time in their games.
I'm having an mini mind-implosion because I never realized the mojo SFX from OTT and MOM us the same as the coins from Hit & Run until you pointed it out.
In Bash, the reason why each game requires 3 wins(for trophies) is cause they're treated like matches in sports like boxing or wrestling plus it gives players the chance to get used to the mechanics of those games before they're challenged further for the gems & crystal challenges. Bash is not a game to need 50+ different minigames cause it's main focus are the games themselves, unlike Mario Party where the board game was the main focus and the minigames were side dishes that didn't truly determine if you win the whole thing. Bash has more focus and depth into its games than the minigames in Mario Party games. Bash is truly better experienced with friends which is why they offered coop in adventure mode.
Yeah but lack of games is still lack of games in bash. I seen the games there and will probably get tired of them in like 45 minutes.
Though you are right with its other reasons, but lack of games to cover up "another game, but it's different" is well not really executed effectively I guess.
Mario Party with friends makes chaos in many different ways of events whether it's good or bad. From skill to luck, vice versa. It's pretty much unpredictable giving many reactions.
The title should be most hated CB games by CRITICS. Because yeah, Twinsanity has some of the lowest scores, but that's MOSTLY because it's unfinished and buggy. If you look at the user score, it's one of the highest rated Crash game out there. Twinsanity is mostly beloved. Yeah, there are some people that hate it, but then there are people who also hate Red Dead Redemption, so opinions are different in every game.
I don’t hate Crash Bash, The Wrath Of Cortex and Twinsanity. I wish these three games getting remakes with all cut content. I only hate Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.

Why crash 4?
WOC literally has several vehicles/gimmicks not in Warped, a new powerup to sneak on top of nitros, completely new level designs and themes which each level having a different sound track, re-occurring old bosses in levels, the main re-occurring antagonist(Crunch), playable platforming Coco, a powerup that you can collect within a gem path of a level, an invisibility crate, vehicle to platforming transitions(not in Warped but in CB2), & a new story with higher stakes yet people keep calling it a Warped Clone just on the surface that it uses the Warped theme a lot and contains things that Warped established in being the last game that Crash's gameplay was peak in prior to WOC. WOC literally combines elements of both CB2 & Warped and added it's own new elements to become what it is now. People act like Warped didn't just reuse the same animation & model of Crash from CB2, reused graphics of traditional items and borrowed its warp room style, yet they want to easily call WOC a Warped clone when it has different animations and graphical models created from scratch. People there's a difference between a game that stays faithful by continuing what was established and one that straight up copies things at 1:1 like Nsane. Things can be similar but not the exact same(clone).
Cmon dude like Woc has new things added that were there to enrich the experience, and an attempt to further series. But it wasn't like alot of them were Amazingly well done, or that interesting to begin with. And it kinda does lean in on what it's predecessors did at it's core so of course it's going to compared to them.
Honestly I have respect for the devs for creating this game for what they were under. A bad schedule, the ps2 was just new and they had to learn as they went, and the new additions to the series that were their own; its amazing the game turned out the way that it did. But I'm not gonna pretend it's a crash game that I would play anytime soon; the criticisms it has IS valid.
I pretty much only ever played crash 2 and WOC in my childhood and always loveddd WOC the most. When they made the nsane trilogy it was my first time seeing crash 1-3 right next to each other and i was honestly disappointed! WOC had it’s flaws that might’ve went a bit over my head as a child but i STILL prefer it over the other 3 games and am so disappointed they won’t remaster it lol. I thought the game was unique but kept true to the franchise. I personally prefer the game to be kept similar cus if they change too much it’s like will i still even like the game.. I’m not sure what people wanted or what was really wrong with the game other than loading times
The problem with TWoC is they crossed the line with all of these gimmicks, and they don't do anything to improve the platforming. Plus the Sneak shoes is obsolete anyway

The only bad Crash Bandicoot games are Fusion and Boom Bang, but i like the whole series honestly, Nitro Kart, Tag Team Racing, WOC and N Tranced for example were great post ND games imo.
Twinsanity is like watching a train wreck, but then delicious candy spills out of it like it was a giant piñata or something. .-.

Aside from those three, I have no problem with any of the post-Naughty Dog Crash games. In fact, I think most of them get far more hate than they deserve.
Unpopular opinion - I didn't enjoy Crash Twinsanity on the PS2 that much due to the sheer amount of bugs, glitches, the linearity, the Walrus Chase, both Crash's and Cortex's Classroom Chaos levels, the kind of mediocre level design, and the fact that it was an unfinished game. However, I think it was a pretty competent game in it's own right. The boss battles were good, the game is funny with its clever writing, the music is amazing, and the cutscenes were good. I just feel that if this game's humor wasn't funny, it wouldn't have been memorable and widely loved which would allow people to see it's faults more. It just doesn't compare to the original trilogy to me and I can't see how people enjoy it more than Crash 2 or 3. But, take my opinion with a grain of salt, I enjoy Crash Bash (a lot) and Nitro Kart (a bit) so people are allowed to like what they want. I don't mind. Sorry this was really long read.
No matter what the reviews are on these 2 games Crash Nitro Kart Console version & Crash Boom Bang I still enjoy going back to them They play a big roll in my memory When I was a kid these two were my go to games And I still enjoy going back to them now.

Titans/Mutant get WAY more hate than they deserve. They're just different. It's ok for devs to take characters in different directions every now and then and experiment with new ideas and concepts. It's a healthy part of the creative process.
Sure, the games aren't for everyone, and that's fine. You don't have to like them. But if you're one of those people who hates those games purely because they're not the same games as the ones you grew up with, then you seriously need to step out of your comfort bubble more often and expand your tastes a bit more.
This review coming out when it’s looking likely we getting a new crash bash type party game. Especially after all the teasers we getting. Will be interesting to see the reaction from many. Personally I really liked bash and would welcome a new party game like it.
I liked tag team racing, but yeah the actual racing aspect was mediocre and the platforming segments got old relatively fast

Also, CNK was initially developed by TT but Universal gave the project to VV.
Nina was also planned to be in this game but she was cut (however, you probably heard about it before).
And also, after the release of Twinsanity TT started working on a racing Crash game called ,,Crash Clash Racing" which would be centered around Crash's dreams and would include clashing and fusion mechanic.
However, Vivendi gave the project to Radical Entertainment who threw out all of TT's ideas besides clashing and fusion.
That's how CTTR was made.
Also, I think that a lot of problems that the Crash series had since early 2000s until the huge comeback in 2017 was because of Universal's and Vivendi's stupid/weird decisions and them treating devs poorly.
And also, I know it's pretty childish but I laugh every time when I hear ,,jacking" ;P

Crash was my childhood, and I loved a lot of the 'bad' games, haha, like Tag Team Racing was awesome and so unique to me as a kid. Twinsanity was very iffy on me as a kid purely because of the odd difficulty (but of course as I got older I just realized it's poor level design and glitches, not difficulty.) And I literally screamed when I got Titans for my birthday, although when my friend gave me Mind over Mutant years later I immediately liked that one more. I absolutely hated Wrath of Cortex, I stand by this opinion since I was a kid; You can make a bad game, but if that bad game is dull and boring, that's unforgivable. Also, I was in the exact boat as you! Said friend also gave me Nitro Kart and I just... never played it..? I don't even remember why, I just never wanted too. I lucked out on never seeing Boom Bang in my life, LMAO. I had those crappy McDonalds Crash games though, if that counts.
Mind Over Mutant on DS, clocked it. It was really fun.

GOD i hate the Uka Uka boss fight in COTT, all they did was spam a bunch of annoying enemies and make Uka Uka's moveset insuferable, it's the DEFINITION of artificial difficulty, he's the only reason i didn't beat the game
You can cheese out the Uka boss battle by using a Battler skin. Helps taking out the mutants faster.

Crash twinsanity is my favourite crash bandicoot game
It does have depth in mind over mutants but it's rarely utilized, I'd still give it a 5/10

But now I gotta do it on hard difficulty & 100% the game Because achievements Yep I did it on easy.
My opinion on some of the featured games:
Crash Bash while pretty tedious and boring in singleplayer was one of the few Co-op games you had in the early 2000s. Playing through adventure mode with a friend or your big brother was alot of fun.
Woc is very flawed and just a bad version of Crash 3. But honestly I think it is still somewhat enjoyable.
Nitro Kart is a worse CTR. I think the game is alright, there is just no point in playing it when you can play CTR instead imo.
I love twinsanity and even though it is pretty buggy I think it would have been an amazing game if it wasn't rushed
Tag Team Racing was okay and can be fun with friends. The driving is of course very different from the previous kart racers.
Personally I don't care for the Titans games as I feel they are way to repetitive and you can really just turn your brain off when playing them.
As for the others I haven't really played them

Yeah, in my opinion, Crash Boom Bang is worse than Bash. Only minigames that i don't have in Bash, are Keg Kaboom and Dante's Dash.

It's both true and false that Mind Over Mutant has complexity in it's combat. There's tons of combat options available, various combos and button strings for various situations... But only as Crash on his own. On top of that, casually the different moves really isn't that different, and the player is never really punished for just spamming buttons. Doesn't help how easy the game is, even on Bonkers. On top of that, Mutant combat isn't that detailed and that's what most people think of in the game as that's what the game drives you to most of the time.
It's like if I gave you the option between 10 swords of various strength and 1 gun. Sure, I gave you lots of options, but why choose anything but the gun if you're not punished for it and not rewarded for the swords?

Wrath of correct was my last straw. That game fucked so hard I thought. I thought the level design was really fine, and the voice acting was sub par at the very least, like if we’re gonna give MGS1 a pass, every other game ever released gets a fuckin pass. As for the system being too much I never felt that but I had only put probably 10 hours into the ps1 games as opposed to hundreds into the ps2 games

Crash bash is arcade experiment. Crash of the titans and Crash mind over mutant is bit-a-map experiment. Crash twinsanity is masterpiece with bags. And, crash boom bang is exper..... No! This game is pease of shit for Nintendo!
the worst crash bandicoot game is ok at worst... yeah, i enjoyed boom bang even with his flaws and the viscount is a nice addition to the crash roster;
i also liked crash purple, it's a nice minigame collection and finally he crossed over with spyro!
wrath of cortex is so underrated, it's actually an awesome game, not in the same league as the ps1 trilogy but still very good... same goes for twinsanity, even if clearly unfinished and a lot was cutted before release, the story is good and it's an enjoyable game after all;
Edit: there's one that stinks actually, mind over mutant is traaaaaash in every edition possible.

Personally this video doesn’t make sense as a lot of these games weren’t hated.
In fact a lot of people are calling for a few of them to be brought back in a reimagining form. These being crash bash, wrath of cortex or twinsanity.
Yet Activision decided to make new games with Crash and Spyro thanks Commercial and Critical Success of the Remakes and IAT.

Crash Team Racing was probably my favorite CTR game honestly. I loved the original, the remake for ps2 was pretty trash, remaster was fun but that’s a remaster but crash team racing was so fun because of that theme park and exploration aspect. I really did like just mindlessly roaming the park

Tag Team Racing was mediocre. My biggest complaint was the lack of unlockable characters. You can only unlock the ones central to the story. No Tiny Tiger, Dingodile, N. Brio ECT.
Why do You like Nina?, For me se always look like minor enemie, also nowhere as near as charmin as dr cortex, i don't see her as the more fun enimie, i likes way more RIpper roo and TIny tiger.

I loved these when I was a kid and would ignorantly buy anything with Crush's face on it, but after a revisit, these games have aged like milk. They come nowhere near the highs of the series. imo the reviews were correct with the criticism.

Nitro Kart is just bad, the only good things it has is presentation, Velo and anti gravity...in theory. The game fails at everything else, there's literally NO reason to play it, Nitro Fueled even with its flaws is still the best way to experience CNK...except for the track Hyper Spaceway...wtf happened there
Titans i used to like more and it's still a good game, it just yea...it can get boring at times, but it still provides like 7 hours of gameplay and it's intersting enough to view just once, seriously only 2 levels in this game i'd consider bad, the uuuh...the N. Gin ones...when you're getting to him...the metalic looking levels...yeah anyway that, boring af, everything else is just a treat to view, seriously this game is breathtaking, have you seen the level Family Tree? Lol anyway, the story is the best part about it, not as funny as Twinsanity but still had it's twists and turns and it was overall satisfying to complete. Good but flawed...and a forgettable soundtrack (also character designs were eh, only truly bad ones are Coco and Crucnh...seriously wtf)

The more i kept playing and learnt about it the better it got. The mutants all felt unique, the worlds you could now explore, the character designs were improved (seriously take Coco and Crunch as an example again, they're literally perfect, the masks are good for what they are and while Crash and Cortex are still the best in Twinsanity they're still good here) N. Brio was brilliant, soundtrack was excellent, the story dissapointed tho lol. But the combat, oh what makes the combat so fun is why the combat in God Of War is also fun. Let me explain...and not...not GOW2018 HELL NO, the original, the sequels unfortunately were simplified but GOW3 still has the best gameplay in the series. What made the GOW gameplay so fun was that yes, you could just mash buttons, but there were so many combos and variety in animations and stuff you could do that it made the combat just fun. The first GOW had a bit of deapth, if you just mash a button in higher difficulties, spoiler alert, you're gonna die plus where's the fun in only mashing one button? MOM does combat so much better than COTT because not only are all mutants unique in their playstyles and more balanced, but Crash can also time a dodge and counter attack now. Mutans have more moves (that the game doesn't even tell you about...seriously i learnt about a new way to do combat with the Ratcicle about a year ago by a very good youtuber who did a move i've never seen before...WTF GAME YOU HAVE DEAPTH, TEACH ME!) Long story short, i slowly came to the realisation that while MOM may not be the better game, it's my prefered mutant experience...even with all the god damn backtracking
Bash is just bad, repetitive, bs, short and while not important, it gives 0 fs about the series lore. The "fun with friends" excuse is a point i always have fun ruining for people so let me remind yall. Literally ANYTHING is fun with friends, if a game can't stand on it's own then guess what, that might mean it's not very good, uh oh
CTTR is mediocre, a jack of all trades but a master of none, it's still fun af though i recommend. The "jokes" however some are fine...yee and at least im not bored in the loading screen. Don't go in this game expecting a kart racer, first of all it's not, it's just a racer...and uh yeah a very mediocre one at that but exploring the park and progressing through the story WHATEVER way you feel like (that's one of the best part, you're free to progress however you want)
WOC is mediocre but it still left me with more to remember than IAT honestly. The OST, the villains, the set pieces, the different level themes, the atlas sphere, basically this game played it safe and copies warped a lot, but i liked it more than Warped thanks to the things i mentioned above

Every time i make a discussion about games, Crash especially and if talking to outsiders and not fans (because Crash fans are very bright and smart) this game will sometimes come to mind as an example of: YES! That is brilliant, that is unique, this game has soul and identity. You know? Wrath of Cortex was my least favorite. The graphics were subpar, the story was meh and the gameplay was a mess style-wise.

Twinsanity did nothing positive for this franchise, it was one of the worst selling Crash games, didn't critically receive well, was the most rushed & nearly unfinished game in the series that focus purely on humor provided by mainly just Cortex in order to sell itself. The game only has a cult of fans on the internet that are very loud about their love for the game while shutting off and antagonizing those who understandably don't like it while praising it like it's an 8/10 game when it's really a 6/10 game. It took the series in a terrible direction by forcing it into this humor based territory where traditional characters are flanderized and weird changes continue to happen that turn people away from the series making them hate the PS2 era Crash games. Twinsanity tries its best to be completely out there contrasting very hard with what we were used to in the series prior to it, and the game felt like a huge parody of what the series was about. It was a very odd crash game that alienating so many people when it came out and made Crash so unappealing which mostly contributed to why it sold very poorly not breaking a million on two different consoles combined while the 1st two crash GBA games were able to on one portable console and even titans games were able to break a million. Twinsanity is basically a poor man's Jak & Daxter game that was late to the open world gameplay party, plus turned the Crash series inside out.
Nobody cares about Jak & Daxter its an irrelevent IP forgotten by everyone in the gaming community. Nor are Crash 2 or 3 anything better than a 6/10 game, if they weren't the very first 3d platformers nobody would care for these games. These games are pathetically easy to beat and painfully boring after 4 levels. So they're roughly the same games as Twinsanity in terms of quality. And its proven that W.O.C was the game that killed Crash as a respectable IP with Twinsanity losing sales because of that reason(not factually but a strong possibility). And for Twinsanity's humor would not of persisted for almost 18 years of Crash games if the comedy/writing style was so unbelievably awful as you say it is. This was the game that humanized Cortex into an actual character and rejustified a lot of his vague motives for murdering Crash since the PS1 games. Plus that ending is the absolutely the most memorable, savage and threatening plan Cortex could ever do. Its JUST so evil. So no, these Twinsanity fans are not delusional. This game does deserve praise for the great shit it did and not being a forgettable Crash 3 clone. Lastly the main reason your so pissed off by this Twinsanity love is mostly because it is the only Post Naughty Dog Crash game worth defending unlike W.O.C, Titans etc.
Dude, Twinsanity was buggy and flawed. You need to take of your rose-tinted glasses and focus on facts.
When judging a game, you don't judge it for "what it could have been" but what it is. Twinsanity could have been an amazing game if they had implemented everything they wanted and had more time to iron out some kinks... But they didn't.
