Thanks for these fine simple lessons. I learned a phonetic abc system but it wasn't very fast so I've changed to Teeline which seems a very good system.
The one thing I dislike about Teeline is that it isn't phonetic. It doesn't matter so much with the consonants because I use the soft C when appropriate, and I use a J when that's the sound, unless G makes a better outline. So far so good. However when it comes to the vowels there seems no choice but to follow English spelling. In practise I find myself sometimes going by the sound and sometimes by the spelling. This is bound to lead to problems in reading back, I think.
Have other Teeline learners, especially those who previously tackled a phonetic system, had this problem? I'd be grateful for any advice.

How can you tell the difference between "sigh" and "is" in teeline?

I'm thinking it would be context.

In teeline I think you just use "s" for "is" to shorten it

My best guess is that you would start with the “i” and end with the “s” at the bottom of the “i”
