That was awesome! Please make more!!! My only suggestion is to continue a slight pause after each writing before reveling the word. This helps me to guess the word beforehand. It helps tremendously. Thank you so much.

I am continuously making video clips of shorthand writing in my spare time. I hope to get them out as soon as possible. Thanks for watching.

I took shorthand in 1993 and still remember some of it. I LOVED it!!!
I need to start doing it again. It's very relaxing to me. Thank you for uploading these videos. 🙂

Because of my knowledge in shorthand, I passed the dictation given at the recruiting agency and got the job as a senior secretary in the Saudi Aramco project, Qatif Industrial Support Facilities, Juaymah, Saudi Arabia, 2002 to 2004. And then promoted as executive secretary for the many Aramco projects, 2004 to 2016.
Thanks for the many wonderful online lessons you show on TH-cam on Gregg Shorthand, a lost art but its usefulness would never ever fade.

I am making videos and I am going as fast as I can, in spite of interruptions at home.
While you are waiting for new tutorials, you can look at free ebooks on Gregg shorthand at this website, namely Open Library.
      openlibrary.org/search?q=Gregg+shorthand&has_fulltext=true

I apologise for delays. You might have noticed my limited skills in video editing as in earlier videos like "Gregg Shorthand Lesson #1." My video editing skills were awful months ago. My skills are gradually improving I am learning video editing from tutorials. They help me churn out better videos.

@@rcgeraghty6627 your videos are my favorites out of all the shorthand videos on TH-cam, and I'm really hoping you'll come back one day and continue this series, though the chances seem slim since your last video was uploaded 2 years ago :'(

These videos should show the letters on a lined page. I remember that some letters are above the line and some letters are below the line. This doesn't show it.

Hi Joann! One of the supposed advantages of Gregg is that it can be written on unlined paper. You might be thinking of Teeline or another shorthand method. I'd also like to see the lines, but as a size reference, since relative size is so important in Gregg.

Can anyone help me understand the different vowels in Gregg? I don't hear a difference between the "ah" in "cot", "father", and "law." I'm learning anniversary Gregg, which has likewise has different symbols for "calm", "rot", and "raw" but they sound the same to me. Also, which edition of Gregg is taught in the video? I like the way they represent "i" as in "pie."

I am sorry for delays. I have been making clips of videos of writing against white background or green background for FX. Months ago, it was too damn hard to do writings on any textured background and to position them where I want them to be. My video editing skills were seriously limited months ago. After watching software tutorials, I have improved much since. Since this video, I have written hundreds of words against white background or green background. After that, the white/green backgrounds will be all replaced with the coloured textured backgrounds. I am using programs like Blender and Hitfilm 4 Express for editing videos. Meantime, I always look for shortcuts in video editing and animating writing.

how would you write the sound "w" as in 'we' and 'water'? And the sound "h" for 'hat'?
edit: would you use the letter for 'u' in front of these words? Like "uotr" for "water"?

There is no "C" in traditional Gregg Shorthand, only "K." Traditional Gregg shorthand also puts accents in all of the words that have the vowels (A, E, etc) To help with pronunciation and so that it is pronounced right so that you don't have to play wheres waldo with the dictation of the words.
