where has this women been all my life? I did pitman script a hundred years ago and still use bits of it but it never really stuck because i needed a teacher like this! (and a simpler type of shorthand lol). I am dyslexic and a 'slow writer' hense needing shorthand to keep up - plus things stick in my head better when i handwrite notes as opposed to typing. 🙏🙏 About to start a uni course and feel more confident about this if i can learn some teeline. 🤩😍✍📜

Can't stop smiling throughout the lesson because your teaching is so enjoyable! Though I've memorized the Teeline alphabets for a few years now (from image search), I've been incorrectly using them as 1 on 1 alphabet replacement from long hand. So I was scratching my head on where the speed came from, now I know!
So glad to find your channel! Eager to continue with the rest of the lessons!
p.s. That final bit with your dog, it's like I'm being transported back in time to a classroom. So nostalgic!

Thank you SO MUCH for this!!!! I've been studying from a book and whilst it's been fine for learning the alphabet, I came to a standstill on actually joining the letters. It seems to jump from 'here's the alphabet' to 'write this paragraph' without explaining skeletonisation or what the letters stand for independently. I'm going to switch to using just your series now, it's the first time I've felt any kind of confidence that I can do this.

You're a great teacher. I could just sit here and watch your videos all day. Prior to now every video I've ever watched about short hand has bored me to tears. This on the other hand has made me want to invest hours into Teeline. It really comes across as exciting ("we don't put babies on the floor!"... lol) - that takes a very passionate and good presenter/teacher. Big thank you for introducing me to Teeline :)

Fifty years old now and would like to learn shorthand again - I reckon it's a better use of my brain that trying to work out what the hell Soduku is about. Two minutes in and I feel 16 again back at Lorraine Martin College in 1989! :)

I'm not sure this is still published but there will be copies on ebay for just a few pounds. It has all the basics of the theory with short exercises.

I still occasionally refer to my original book ‘Basic Teeline’ by James Hill the inventor of Teeline. It was published in 1969 so must be a First Edition!! @@letsloveteelinetogether2273

I have weak muscles in my hands, which has caused carpal tunnel to appear. For years writing has been getting more and more painful. So here I am, trying to learn short hand.

I broke my arm, so typing is very slow, but I also want to continue writing a story. I'm hoping I can learn and use Teeline for that purpose because there's no way I would write so much in longhand. I think this might even be better than typing because it would be easier to go somewhere without distractions (especially the Internet) and just write.
I've already looked at other resources for Teeline but I'm liking this video the most. I look forward to watching the rest.

Hi there, on the skelteon test paper in the guidelines above it says replace 'SH' with just the 'S' but in the answers you have used SH. I think it's obvious why you would but it just seems a bit unclear. Just a note/suggestion. Loving this stuff so far xxxxx

Phenomenal teaching this was so easy to follow thank you so much! I started learning teeline over a decade a ago whilst I was at uni but my engineering course was way too time-consuming here I am back again and so blessed to have found you.
I have a question regarding the worksheet. I got most of the answers correct except I’m about confused as with the words push, wish, show and shiny, I skeletonised as ps, ws, sw, sni but the answer sheet showed the answers as psh, wsh, shw, and shni.
This goes against the rule on the sheet which states that “when SH come together, use the S only” hence my answers. Is there something I’m missing?
Would appreciate your help with this THANKS SO MUCH! 🤗

Thank you SO much. We are glad you found us also. Please spread the word. Regarding your answer you are correct. Words with SH together use the symbol that looks like a CAPITAL “S”. As you know the “s” symbol is just a small circle. So that is why the answer sheet shows the capital S. Thank you for pointing this out. I can understand the confusion.

Excellent video. ¿Podría aplicarse al español este sistema de taquigrafía? ¿Sabes de algún tutorial que lo enseñe aplicado al español? Muchísimas gracias

I come from a nursing background, as you can imagine, many of the medical and nursing words are not as easy to transcribe to T-line, e.g. constipation, schizophrenia, incontinent etc. Is there any current list or resources in this field?

    • @letsloveteelinetogether2273
      @letsloveteelinetogether2273  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Nine that I am aware of. However in your position I would make a list of the most common ones you use and devise special or shortened outlines for them. For example “incontinent” could be “I” indicator before “CN” blend on the T-line.
