    I love you! You have great energy, and offer many variations of each pose so that the integrity isn't compromised. I love this focus. It's not a competition with others or yourself. It is about being where we are and taking ourselves to that threshold. Practice and it comes! Thank you. Keep on doin what you’re doin girl!!

    NEW VIDEO: Our Foundations of Yoga series continues with WARRIOR III. This episode includes a shout out to one of my favorite movies, way too much chatter about Sissy Bounce AND I wear my favorite warrior t-shirt from one of my favorite places on earth, El Cosmico. Try this fierce pose and let us know how it goes! #yoga #yogaforhealth

      Adriene do you ever do yoga in a shallow body of water and use the water to help balance and use it part of the yoga moves?
      After i do my swimming i usually go into the wave pool at the shallow end and stretch & do basic yoga moves and it feels great, also the water can carry some body weight.
      by the way your awesome teacher and look very healthy.

    Wow, I just figured out a way to do Warrior 3 that challenges me AND feels good. I had only seen examples with all limbs at exactly 90 or 180 degrees, and I can only do that while gasping for breath! But with a wee modification or two, I can do it and keep practicing. Yay! Thanks Adriene!

    Again, thank you. I've struggled with Warrior 3 even though I have strong legs. It's definitely not always about strong legs. It's how we get into the Asana. The Balance and placement of the feet. I'm subbing my first class on Sat. (1 hr) I've 98% finished with my 300HR certification. 200HR and Yin complete. I will definitely be teaching warrior 3 in this class as a peak pose. Until you explained the placement of the foot I was getting a little frustrated. ;)

    I find this pose very challenging for the leg which is holding my weight, also I have a problem with levelling my hips, not only in this pose but in warrior 1 and 2..I plan to persist because it has been a month now, since I stared watching you Adrienne and exactly the same amount of time has passed since I have started practicing yoga, and it helped centre me, and focus on what’s important in this hectic and stressful time in my life. Since I was a child I had problems with recurring pain in my legs, the pain shifts from the hip to the ankle and usually it takes resting and good night sleep or painkillers to stop hurting but recently I had an idea to practice yoga when I felt pain and only 20 min of yoga took the pain away, and I was just so focused on doing yoga that I did not feel the pain during the practice, and when I was done it was just gone, not reduced, but completely gone, like magic:)..I think the runners lunges helped a lot, I used to hate them but since you explained them so well, and how you can move in the pose and not be rigid it transformed them, now I quite enjoy them, so I want to thank you Adrienne for all the effort and love you put in your videos, thank you from my heart. (sorry for my bed use of English:), ,many hugs and kisses from Croatia!

      @yogawithadriene  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing Zea! I was going to say that really focusing on pulling the hips in line while in runners lunge or low lunge will help the hips to be even or leveled in a standing or balancing pose such as Warrior III. Also, do you ever practice legs up the wall? I will do a video for that! Namaste. Love to you!

      @snjezanak109 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dear Adriene,
    I love your videos! I think you are a great, encouraging teacher. I have a big problem with balancing poses and perhaps you might be able to help. Even with your instruction, I have a super hard time keeping my feet from rolling in and out. I have weak arches, and possibly weak ankles as well. Not only do I wobble all over the mat, I also get really intense burning sensations in my feet and ankles. What do you recommend for strengthening these areas so that I might be able to one day manage these poses pain and wobble free?
    Thank you so much!
    Kayla (all the way up in Vancouver, Canada!)

      I second this as an issue, feet become painful (burning) especially the left. Issues with inflexible ankles, whenever I squat, lunge or attempt warrior 3 my ankle bows slightly inward. Advice, exercises or small routine to help with this would be amazing.

    Why hello, I cannot seem to stay motivated with doing any type of work out. I love doing yoga and I'd like to be very good at it, but I always seem to talk myself out of doing anything good for myself such as eating right and working out. I tell myself I have no time. When really I have more than three hours before I have to be to work. Yes I have a baby and a home to keep clean but I still think I should be able to fit a healthy lifestyle in my daily life. Please let me know if you have any pointers. Thank you.

    • @yogawithadriene

      I feel you! You are not alone. Remember that a little goes a long way. Commit to 5 minutes of stretching or playing on your mat. Set a 5 min timer. Then in time, when you want to increase that, do. Working out should feel good and when you find that you will have a routine that you are motivated to connect to. Also, try the video Freedom Flow! And then, when you are ready, JOIN our REBOOT community! Its the best and it is great for creating a new habit. Its motivating and fun (and funny, lots of humor in the kula) too!

    By watching this video of Warrior III I am determine to work on this pose and get to the point where I can do this. I am finding I can get almost half way with this pose and then when I work on the other side. I find a bit challenging. My question is with this pose and I guess with any other yoga pose.. Is it normal to do a pose on one side and have to work harder to do the same pose on the other side? Is this normal?

    • @SpelllMe
      @SpelllMe หลายเดือนก่อน

      missapeterson9395, I see that no one has answered this question that you asked quite some time ago. You probably already know the answer by now. But maybe someone else is wondering the same thing, so I'm jumping in to say it is TOTALLY NORMAL. Most people have a stronger side ... or a dominant side. Several reasons for this. Some of us have imbalances, others of us have injuries, and most all of us are at least subtly asymmetrical in our bodies. Personally, I notice the differences between my two sides the most on balance poses. But even on simple yoga flows I have one side that is a rock star quick learner. It's getting straight "A"s in yoga. The other side is a slow learner. Sometimes I have to pause the video and replay for that side more than once. Its muscles aren't the greatest at paying attention! That side still has many other good qualities that can't be measured in simple terms like yoga performance, though, and I cherish its efforts.
