Rach, oh Rach, I do not like, Sprinkles on my cake or pie! Not on cookies, not on bread, Not on ice cream-no, I said! I don’t like sprinkles here or there, I don’t like sprinkles anywhere! "No thanks," I say, "they’re not for me! Just leave my dessert sprinkle-free!"
While you were preparing the broccoli chicken dish I realized that your time is impacted by the fact that you are describing each step to the camera as you do it, so I think that should automatically earn you an additional 20-30 seconds when testing these recipes in this format.
Very true, I agree. Never really thought about it like that, but it definitely adds some time for her. And when she has to move things so it's in view for the camera
The blue song will always be funny. It was even funnier when I realized you were wearing blue too! Sorry Rach but I agree with Chris. No sprinkles on fudge. Fudge is meant to be smooth.
Rachel, for the microwave cinnamon roll; You said that OP used Almond flour. Almond flour is not a 1:1 for wheat flour. Almond flour is not absorbant, & most other flour is - That's why it is too dry. Try it with 1, maybe 2 Tbsp of flour.
or add a fat/oil to make up for the lack of it in wheat flour- that's what almond flour has that it's missing. Some extra butter/marg or vegetable oil should is all you need
I have a different quick recipe for the fudge you would be able to try as well, which is just as quick, 1 can condensed milk, 300g dark chocolate and 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract, melt chocolate and condensed milk in microwave, in 30 sec intervals, mixing in between until fully melted and combined add the extract, stir well. Place in a pan and pop in the fridge for a few hours until set cut up and enjoy. It's a christmas favourite with my family.
I do the same only I've never added peppermint - but I think it would work much better than the almond butter with the peppermint flavor. Super good. Maybe with some crushed candy canes on top for her crunch?
Some people can't tolerate dairy because they are lactose intolerant so the only way that I can make fudge that I guess isn't really fudge is by taking peanut butter and mixing it with melted chocolate chips and mixing that together and putting it in the refrigerator to set
Look up Danielle Walker fudge. It uses cashew butter It's very similar to regular fudge. Cashew butter is a natural flavor vs almond butter. @marciwhitman3513
Sorry, Rachel, I have to side with Christopher on this one. Sprinkles are terrible. Especially the tiny round ones that feel like they could crack your teeth.
I'm definitely team "no sprinkles". I do agree with Chris that fudge should not have a crunch, or if I did want some crunch on peppermint fudge, maybe I'd add some crushed candy canes.
I love the chicken Boursin orzo dish. I found it a few months ago and have made it several times since then. I definitely recommend getting the Kinders spice that she uses in the original video. It’s also a great spice for in mashed potatoes.
When I have a recipe that calls for broccoli I use the cook in the bag. When it comes out of the microwave I let the bag deflate then just use your fist like a hammer or use your rolling pin to beat it up a little. When you open the bag it is the perfect bite size pieces.
Glad you clarified on the almond butter actually 😂 I’m allergic to almonds and actually got a little concerned for you when you used the almond butter 😅
I don't know why she didn't substitute SunButter because she can have that. You don't have to use almond butter or peanut butter but anything that actually has fat in it that will help the chocolate not to set too hard
I would love to see them make some of these 5 minute recipes with a timer in the shot with them!🙄 Thank you for the interesting 😊 recipes and videos! Happy New Year!❤🎉
You could be more allergic to peanuts due to them being part of a different plant family. You can have a peanut allergy and not a trees nut allergy or have different reactions.
Yep. I’ve known a couple of people that are allergic to peanuts, but, not tree nuts & one person that was allergic to tree nuts (including coconut) _and_ peanuts… & yes, some have varying reactions w/ peanuts vs. tree nuts.
I have a different version of the peppers: Make a mixture with ricotta, eggs, grated cheese (I like to use Gruyère, but I'm sure most hard cheeses would work), parsley and season to taste. Fill up the peppers that you've cut in half. Top it with bread crumbs and put a drizzle of olive oil on top. Then you can bake it in the oven and serve with a side dish of your choice. Mixing the ricotta with eggs, cheese and herbs gives it more depth and the bread crumbs gives it a nice texture.
lol I’m definitely with Christopher on the sprinkles… I HATE them especially the crystal/hard little ball ones! They will ruin anything they touch But the cinnamon roll mug thing I will be trying!
I don’t think I necessarily like sprinkles for the way they taste or their texture, but put rainbow sprinkles in anything and I’m automatically like ~ooo unicorn and funfetti and magiccc~ and I like it more haha
Try your peppers wrapped in the almost cooked bacon, or sprinkle with bacon bits. There's a bunch of microwave fudge recipes online, many without nut butter, which would be much better with the mint. Love your videos! Hapoy New Year!
Bacon crumbles or chili crisp would be nice on the peppers. And I would use chocolate shavings on the fudge. Sprinkles are more for cakes or cookies for me. Sorry, siding with Chris. ❤❤❤
For the microwave cinnamon bun you said that the lady used 3 tablespoons of almond flour. Then you used 3 tablespoons of regular flour. Usually in recipes you need to use more almond flour than regular flour because almond flour isn't as dry as regular flour. So maybe it wasn't that the timing was off but maybe you needed less flour.
I've done a variation on the pepper one, with mini peppers & a cream cheese/cheddar/bacon mix (like jalapeño poppers). I haven't used the air fryer & the boursin should be similar. Looking forward to trying it, thanks 😊

I love sprinkles on everything except for fudge. Fudge is supposed to be creamy and smooth. 🤣
I'm with Christopher, forget the sprinkles. For your pepper recipe, a good crunch might be a bit of a chili garlic crisp instead of hot honey. It'd add a touch of heat and some bite.
