Happy New Year! We’re gearing up for an exciting 2025 with some amazing videos in the works, but we want your input! What recipes should we try, what snacks should we recreate, and which city restaurants should we explore? Wishing you a wonderful holiday season, and thank you for your incredible support over the years! Dessert Person Crew
as a science teacher and STEM instructor, I absolutely LOVE this video! how you measured the cookies, compared and contrasted two different models, drew from background knowledge and looked for references, made a procedure, continuously experimented and improved, had multiple trials and attempts, changed one variable at a time to see the differences, collected quantitative and qualitative results from the product of your recipe and compared it to the model. I love it so so much!! Sometimes it’s hard for students to see how to apply the scientific method outside of the classroom and the direct science disciplines (biology, chemistry, physics, earth science), but cooking and baking are true and tangible applications. There is so much science that happens in the kitchen, and I always appreciate how you explain and mention the connections in your videos as you bake! I hope to show this to my students; thank you Claire, you always inspire me! ❤
I just want to take a second to appreciate the editing choice at 2:09 - like ya'll didn't have to do that, at all, you could have just cut, but using little photos to show that this is Claire's thought process? Genius, incredible, fantastic editing.
Claire: *notes the lack of consistency and quality in the real cookies* Claire 25 minutes later: *painstakingly grating the edges of her cookies cause they aren't perfect* This is why I love this series 🤣🤣
The thing that immediately popped into my head when you asked for suggestions is Nutter Butter cookies. A version that is not as sweet would be awesome. Would need a mold or stamp for the peanut shaped cookies… 🤔
I love how claires channel is the energy of that of us cat owners have, the classic: “i hate having guests over, bc i have to pretend i care about cats on the countertop”
it's almost midnight where I'm from. I can't believe I get to enter 2025 with a new Claire Recreates video. Happy New Year Claire, Cal, Vinny, and the team!
Omg I knew it!!! I knew it for the last like 8 episodes I could not shake it. But I feel like you can't ask that people think you're calling them fat but what I noticed was her skin, her long hair, her plump lips- all the things I missed from my pregnancy glow lol!
Excuse me while I pause my viewing, get in my car, and drive to the store to get some Milano cookies to munch on while I watch this. They are the best! Happy New Year to you and yours!
if you're willing to dip back into the pepperidge farm well again, I'd love to see a Bordeaux cookie episode! I have always wondered how exactly those are made and how that perfect crisp texture and caramelized flavor is achieved.
I don't bake that much, I just really enjoy playing these videos in the background while I'm working on things, your voice and the way you explain things is very soothing and chill.
I just wanna say you are my inspiration when it comes to recipe developing! I have been a fan since 2017! Last year, I started developing a homemade milano cookies recipe. And to see you doing it made me tear up!!!! When you said the cookie reminded you of langue de chat(for us we know it as lengua de gato in the Philippines), I was ecstatic because that is where I started when I started too!! I am so excited to try your recipe!!! Thank you so much for all the videos, Claire! I know you will inspire more people in the future!!
Happy New Year Clair. I think it would be fun to do a series where we can send you recipes from our families that aren’t completely correct and broken and see if you can fix them. Our family has this odd cookie recipe that grandma use to make. They were good when she did it. But now no one knows how and the recipe is just weird
Claire being with someone who appreciates her work as much as she pours her heart and soul into it is probably my favorite part. you enjoy what you’re doing but you’re also pushing your own limits - amazing.
Ina Garten is who first got me into the kitchen, when a chocolate ganache cupcake recipe of hers looked so good, I had to eat one. Now most meals I make are home made, I bake often, and I'm working in recipes from Dessert Person and What's for Dessert. :)
Happy New Year to you and Harris. I love your channel and all your great ideas, recipes and cooking techniques. Would you ever consider recreating Toffifee/Toffifay? I have yet to see a video or recipe for it anywhere. It's one of my all time favourite little treats, especially during the holidays. :)
Claire giving us an early video in the week. I truly do think claire is one of my favorite creators out there. Her videos bring me so much joy and peace. Happy new year Claire.
Thank you, you dont realise the amount of happiness you are spreading. In third world countries like pakistan such items are rarely available and even when they are, they are out of reach of most people due to exorbitant cost. We still make substitutions for ingredients, but the help you provide is so gracious beyond words. Thank you Master Claire 🙏
Y'all gotta make donettes next! The powdered sugar ones, chocolate covered ones, and the crumble ones! Personally the last one is my favorite. Happy holidays to everyone, love this show!
Watching this while taking a break in the middle of NYE prep, it’s very hot out here in Uruguay 🇺🇾. Happy 2025 everyone!! Hope you have an amazing year 💘
The way my jaw dropped when I saw today's video was the Milano cookies! Think I commented on another Claire Recreates video that it would be fun to see this treat. So happy you made them! 💞 Thank you Claire, have a safe and happy start to the new year! 🥰
Just got my own copy of Dessert Person, after making some of your recipes (cinnamon rolls and chive dinner rolls). Now I’m catching up on your latest Claire Creates videos. Love Milanos and so glad you tackled them. Maybe next up you could try doing Biscoff cookies?
This is a weird comment but I had a similar dark line on the nail of my thumb, 3:42 in the video and my UK GP referred me to a dermatologist to have it checked. Any specialists in the comments? I think maybe worth highlighting so that Claire gets it checked just in case.
I always call Milanos "mom cookies". The only time we had them in the house growing up was when my mom had a craving for them specifically, so we knew not to eat them. You could steal maybe one cookie per pack without her noticing lol
I have been thinking of recreating Milanos so I took this as a sign that I need to try it. I was thinking about using a cream cheese melt away recipe and then I want to follow your steps for everything else. Thank you for always posting such amazing content ❤❤❤
When I am baking and butter and sugar are creaming in the stand mixer … I think that scent (and that of browning butter) was why I became a home baker. Yum.
I'd love for you to make jaffa cakes. I really want to make my own with like different jams like blood orange and red currant but I have no idea how to make that pillowy cookie.
Growing up, Mint Milanos were my absolute favorite cookie. I made a batch of lady fingers last week for my tiramisu. I tempered some chocolate and dipped the leftover cookies. I couldn’t put my finger on what it tasted like… and my husband said it tasted like a Milano, lol! So maybe using a zabaglione while replacing some of the all purpose with cornstarch for a tender crumb.
Thank you for this episode! I was literally just wondering this past week if you'd ever recreated Mint Milanos. Your version looks perfect and delicious!
Happy New Year and great episode ✨ I would love for you to make something like Leibniz choco whole milk cookies, they are my favorite here in Germany. Or maybe mulino bianco baiocchi pistacchio cookies, so good! Can't wait for the next episode ☺
I’m sure that I was not the only person to request milanos for a recreates video, but the fact that I did makes this a really gratifying watch! What a treat!
I have to say watching this made me feel so much better about my attempt to make these. I didn’t have the dehydrator, and had the same cakey problem!! You did a fantastic job!!! 🎉
All the best for 2025, Claire! Thank you for these types of recipes!! Nothing beats real butter! Having a dairy allergy, I can at least try these recipes with substitute butter and have half the flavor as opposed to none. 😊
Would love to see how (if) Nerds Gummy Clusters could be made at home. Love watching you and the team Make these Gourmet versions of our favorite treats 😉
Push Pops, rainbow sherbet, Tootsie/Blow Pops, Brookside dark chocolate pomegranate, Cookie Crisp cereal, Snyder’s honey mustard pretzel bites, cheddar Sun Chips, Veggie Straws, Popcorners. That’s about all I can think of; Claire has hit most every category
Milano cookies are something I tried once in the states years ago, forgot about, and now I can't find them anywhere in Canada! Recently I tried to find them and had no luck, so this video is so well timed. This might be the first time I've had an urge to follow a recreated/dupe recipe lol

Recreate Jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches. Also happy new year 🎉
Someone correct me if this has already been done, but Thin Mints would be cool to see, or a variety of Girl Scout Cookies!
Lemon Panetone recipe!
Saint Patrick's Day Special, recreate an Irish snack, get in an Irish guest to confirm taste etc
Happy new year! Claire you should recreate grocery store (Lofthouse?) frosted sugar cookies!

Right? I had to go back and rewatch that when it happened. So clever!
i was thinking the same thing!!
My favorite part is always the “I’m gonna watch it really closely” cut to “so I forgot”
Claire: *notes the lack of consistency and quality in the real cookies*
Claire 25 minutes later: *painstakingly grating the edges of her cookies cause they aren't perfect*
This is why I love this series 🤣🤣
With some Red Lobsters closing around the country, I’m sure some of us would appreciate a gourmet, homemade version of their cheddar bay biscuits!
The box mix is fine but NOT THE SAME
@ I agree! Hopefully she can order some from the restaurant.
Ooh yes!
The thing that immediately popped into my head when you asked for suggestions is Nutter Butter cookies. A version that is not as sweet would be awesome. Would need a mold or stamp for the peanut shaped cookies… 🤔
Came here to comment this!!

As a Cat owner, Cats are not allowed on the counter top. It's weird that yall are okay with that.

Idk why but I feel like Claire looks fantastic in this episode, idk if it’s the lighting or what but girl is killing it!!!!

My favorite series to watch on yt 🩷
Their interaction at 36:30 was adorable. Claire doing a Jim Halpert look into the camera. 😆
The sun going down on this show makes it so cozy.

Claire’s cozy cookie cabin is my fav place to be.
The amaretto flavor they sell during the holidays is SOOO GOOD. also their new london fog.
Yes! The amaretto one is delish! Haven’t seen the London fog flavor, but that sounds delish also.
It’s amazing how the amaretto smells disgusting but taste wise is one of their best flavors.
@@MC-dk7trwhat flavour is London fog? Town gas? Coal? There hasn't been smog in London for 60+ years, so I don't know what it smells like!

I would love to see Claire recreate the Tokyo Banana! It is THE souvenir of Tokyo!
I'm gonna start saying "close parentheses" when reading instructions or ingredients to friends. Adorable!
Claire gives me Ina Garten vibes in the best way. Very comforting, cozy and entertaining love you Claire
I would love to see them team up
This is so accurate.
Yes! They both teach somewhat complicated techniques and recipes without ever feeling "stuffy".
Ina Garten is who first got me into the kitchen, when a chocolate ganache cupcake recipe of hers looked so good, I had to eat one.

Would love to see a Cheesecake Factory recreation - the layers & fillings seem so complicated to do yourself
Thank you to the editor who made the decision to show Claire washing her hands after touching her cat. The details matter.
This is kind of the one store bought junk food item from my childhood that I still can’t let go of in my adulthood. Mint Milano ❤❤❤

The pure chaos of Claire using metric (awesome!) but single-digit and decimal centimeters instead of millimeters like civilized humans is maddening.
