You definitely can get a really well made vintage boot for a similar or cheaper price than lots of modern boots that aren't always as well made.

Totally and sometimes it's the only way to get boots at all depending on where you are in the world!

NOCONA is good or well made? I always try to ignore them, I just feel like they are Laredo and Dingo.

@@JeremiahCraig Let's keep our fingers crossed and have a bunch of people shout out to Nocona, and maybe they'll come back around again.

First boots that I bought at the age of 16 in 1973 were Nocona 11-D all brown calfskin with J-toe. Nocona had a great following of their Texas made boots prior to 1999. Nocona is a sister company to Justin boots under the corporate name Justin Industries. Berkshire Hathaway bought the company a while back and the Nocona brand has all but disappeared. Justin has been the main boot sponsor of the Pro Rodeo tour and basically invented the Roper boot, which is very popular amongst rodeo cowboys in the roping events.

I have a pair of 1970s nocona boots 12B but I usually wear 11D. Amazing that I love this old boots better than another of new square toes out there. J toes are more elegant and stylish.

" Hello Jeremiah; I thought it was a pair of Justin boots! For the shape, I have an almost identical pair, maybe stronger!
I have just bought a magnificent pair of Nocona boots, size 9 US, it is true that Nocona boots are of very good manufacture, reputed to be solid and resistant! " Good video !

Got a set of Justin python boots through shopgoodwill after you talked about it so much. A little too small for me so I just gifted them to a friend. You ain't kidding about the horrible pictures either!!! They're sooo bad.

I've got to flex, I went to a thrift store today and found a pair of boots either brand new or very lightly used (soles look original). One insole was missing so I took out the other insole and it said DiFabrizio. I didn't know what I was looking at but the shoe with the insole fit and they looked essentially new.
Upon further investigation, Pasquale Fabrizio was "shoemaker to the stars" in Los Angeles making, among many other things, Sylvester Stallone's 4.5" lift boots, Burt Reynold's 4" lift boots, Johnny Cash boots, Johnny Depp boots, Elton John shoes, Cher low heels, Sonny Bono lifts, Ronald Reagan boots, Arnold Schwarzenegger boots, etc.
My boots are a black side zip cowboy boot in full alligator leather including the shaft. They have a normal cowboy boot heel, not hidden lifts.
Looking at quality brands like Lucchese and custom makers, a similar set of new boots would retail around $5,000.00 at the least.
    I paid $9.97.
Eventually I'll go to Pasquale's shoe repair to resole (after I wear them out) and get "correct" insoles but until then I bought a $12 set of custom moldable insoles which I'll fit myself.
Pasquale Fabrizio passed away in 2008 but it seems like the business is still going for repairs at least.
Now I'm going to be able to flex hard at the cowboy bars and the ladies won't know I'm broke until it's far too late...

I usually look for the cheapest pair I can find, the have them relasted/resoled anyway. Vintage banned leathers are going to be work, like anteater or sea turtle
