I like your tutorials because you simply cut and style on a relatable level. I don’t go to the hair dresser much because I’m usually not happy. I really don’t like the chain salons. They usually give me lightbulb shaped hair resembling every other sloppy looking person out there. One stylist gave me what I described as Betty White Without the Money. I cried. Thank you for your videos.
Awesome results! I always go to the hairdresser feeling sad because it never seems to come out right but I know my hair very well and I followed your cut to the T. It came out looking great! I also cut the back straight like I wanted as you showed in the other video. I just want a straight cut with curtain bangs and now I can do this myself! Fantastic videos! Thank you.
I watched 2 of your other hair tutorials and OH MY GOD. My hair looks sooo good!! I’ve always cut my own hair but It’s never came out as good and this! So glad I found your channel, by far the best hair tutorials I’ve found. Thank you!
Brittany is an awesome teacher! I’ve been cutting my hair for a few years but needed help with some details like curtain bangs. I watched the video once & then again as I cut. My bangs were amazing! Now she is my go to girl to learn more about cutting my own hair 👋👋👋👍👍👍❤
Brittnee, you’re the best! Thanks to you, I’ve been cutting my own hair confidently ever since I found your videos during the pandemic. You’re such a great teacher, love your personality and sense of humor! Keep up the good work 😊
Just found your videos and I love them!! I've always cut my own hair and I can't wait to try these out. You do an excellent job of explaining. I don't usually post replies but I am so impressed I just had to.
As always u look gorgeous! U always explain things so we'll love love love watching u. Thank u for making these videos they help so so many people. I hope u know how inspirational u are.
OMG Tammy thank you! It's though because some days I get a lot of negative feedback so thank you for this! (actually good timing because I literally just read 10 negative things about myself on here LOL)
I did three of your tutorials and I have an amazing haircut!!everyone asked me where I went to cut my hair!!!OMG thank you girl!!!!😭😭😭😭😭🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼btw its quarantine in Greece so that’s why I decided to do it by myself!!
Hello in Greece! Lucky, I have never been there (yet!) You go girl, I'll be sending you your new cosmetology TH-cam license via photoshop lol! You are a stylist now!
Great video as always! Always learning something new . Thought you were going to brush your bangs with the razor on the second cut. Was saying out loud "you have the razor in your hand!" Good catch.
been looking for a good tutorial on bangs like these for a while 😍 is there anything i could use instead of a razor though ? will scissors make a very harsh line ?
Beautiful, Britnee! I was looking just for this in a video! Yu are such a good and fun teacher!!! It all makes sense!!! Are you wearing extensions today? what is your fave brand? Your hair color seems to change often? Can you do color/toner for blondes videos??? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I am wearing them in the back- I use Full Shine on Amazon (they are not the best but they are the cheapest) tape-ins. Yes! I have one here:th-cam.com/video/qQz7urBZLf4/w-d-xo.html. If you have any questions about formulating the toner let me know- I'm happy to help!
Your detailed instructions including your explanation on why or why NOT to do something is very helpful. I like to have my bangs in the middle a bit shorter so they cross my forehead. But the rest of my bangs are as you show here. How would I do the part across the forehead?
thank you! I would do this tutorial (keeping them a tad longer) then comb them straight down and point cut the parts you want shorter. Here is a tutorial on point cutting if you need it th-cam.com/video/Uwab0gmQTS4/w-d-xo.html
Hey! Would I follow your layers video first and then this? I also wear a long one clip hair extension for work (vocalist), do you have any tutorials that would factor that in so I can add small layers to that too?
Hi! I am loving your tutorials! You are a great teacher! I’m getting ready to try cutting some curtain bangs. I clicked on your link for the amazon razor but it pulled up an error. Is this considered a thinning/texturizing razor? I’m not sure what I need to put in the search bar to pull this up. Thanks so much!! ❤
Giiirl you're slaying it with these haircut videos!!!I followed your "older" video to fix my long bob😇=haven't had a professional hair cut in a year- it's either locked down or me or my hairdresser don't have time. And it came out good-all the damage is gone but I'm starting to get ambitious and wondering how to ad a bit of an angle to it?!🤔 I'm not trying anything on my own anymore(thats kinda the beauty of getting older, one gets a little bit wiser🙉)Any tips? Love to you all 💗
Thank you for watching them! And GO YOU! Happy lockdown (again!) The more you over direct the front pieces towards your nose, the more angled it will be. So don't just cut straight down, over direct always in the front!
This will work for both ways- but if you always part to the side use this video instead: th-cam.com/video/Fvuf9m09GSU/w-d-xo.html (you can also wear this both ways but geared more for side parts)
So it’s ok not to have it all blended right down to the end length of your hair? I want a face frame but don’t really want it going down the entire length of my longer front pieces but thought I had to.
This is kinda what I was talking about in my other comment! Lol if i wanted this but not in the center, could I just repeat the exact same steps but making the "mid" point be where my actual part is or should I still just do exactly as you did? Also I keep forgetting to ask you...what's your take on coloring hair while its damp? Everything about it makes so much sense to me,but I'm also not a hair dresser AND i have turned my entire head into the waistband on a pair of panties (elastic, in case it wasn't clear lol)by diy bleaching it..so that explains my level of expertise lol. I just think it makes sense cuz in order for color to last it has to saturate the center of the strand,&a damp surface absolutely absorbs moisture much better than a dry one. Thats why you have to wet a shammy before using it. Get 2 sponges leave one dry,get the other damp &dip them both in kool-aid &see which one absorbs the liquid faster. Spoiler alert; it's the damp one. HOWEVER, w/that being said, the issue I'm seeing here thats making me reluctant, is that although it does absorb it much MUCH faster, the pigment is far less vibrant as compared to the dry. Idk if this would prove to be an issue with hair dye tho since you have to leave it in for an extended period of time where itll have time to develop. I'm thinking damp is the way to go cuz my theory is basically like I just stated, the color will be able to reach the core of the strand faster where itll then sit for however much time, where itll be able to develop at an [almost] equal rate as the outside which might even cut down on the amount of time you have to leave it on? This is my theory on deposit type colors, idk the process the hair goes thru when bleaching to be able to say whether or not it'd work like that which is why I'm asking you lol. Cuz thats what I'm wanting to do, bleach my hair, &was wandering if I should do so damp or dry. I did it to dry hair when I frizzly fried it last time. Lol when I say damp i mean freshly lightly shampooed &a thorough towel dry possibly a bit of air dry as well..just ever so slightly damp. Not what you consider semi wet lol.
You can move it to your part just start small and not cutting a lot off at first, just re cut until you get the length you want. You can color hair while its damp. Some do and some don't. I mostly do it dry because that's how they come (with dry hair) if they have have a lot of build up in the hair I will shampoo it with clarifying shampoo and then color it wet. But, like you said, the color isn't as vibrant. Really only works well with darker pigments. If you are doing lightener, I would do it dry. On clean hair if possible.
Hey brittnee Just started watching your Videos Can you please make a video on with Curtain bangs where You dont end up having all U shape from the forehead and under the chin framing layer please, so that i wont go to the hairstylist and do it on my own😭❣️👏 idk if i properly made you understand this well, hut that's what one stylist suggested me to get curtain bangs in U shape on the forehead But not under the chin as it looks weird On oval /long face
