Safety:
Perform etching in an outdoor location wtih good ventilation.
Don't allow acid to contact skin or eyes.
Don't breathe fumes.
Etching evolves hydrogen bubbles - don't expose to flame.
Muriatic acid is a hazardous corrosive! If you come into contact with acid, flush with copious amounts of water. If on skin neutralize with copious amounts of baking soda and flush with water. Seek medical care for burns after any exposure.
Waste Disposal:
Use Caution: Carefully and gradually neutralize acid with baking soda, once fully neutralized, store in a chemical proof container with adequate venting. Dispose in accordance with local laws.
