Tribit XBoom (BTS30) vs JBL Flip 4 Sound Test - Which One is the Winner?

Hi Guys,
Today, I will compare two really similar speakers the brand new Tribit XBoom and the JBL Flip 4.
They have the same shape and size, the only difference that the XBoom is a bit bulkier device.
In terms of audio hardware, both have two external passive radiators at the sides and the Flip 4 has a directional sound with two 10 watts drivers on the front, while the XBoom has an omni-directional sound, so you get similar sound level from all angles, thanks to its two built-in 12 watts drivers at the sides.
So, let’s see how they perform.
I will play some songs on the speakers and tell my personal opinion at the end of the video.

At low until moderate volume, i prefer the jbl flip 4 because it has more clear and not muffled, but at 75%-100% volume, the xboom better than flip 4 because it has deeper bass, balance and natural tone, the flip 4 too bright and harsh sound at maximum volume.
Yeh, the Flip 4 can be pretty harsh at max volume.

Jbl feel more louder because of the front firing speaker vs 360 in tribit
At the place where they play guitar, you can feel the real difference. Tribit is muffled. JBL offers better dynamic range. Check 03:20.

Because Flip 4 is directional speaker, and it hits directly to the Microphone of camera. Where as Tribit is 360 speaker. You can hear different levels in real.
I have watched 6 comparisons on these and the Tribit smoked the JBL overall at half the price!
Sorry buddy but this test is unfair, wrong position of Tribit XBoom, plus.. you didn't turn on the bass button.

The jbl has better highs but the tribit xboom has a thicker sound and more thump which I like more

People here don't understand the difference and just comment though they don't have both speaker, even a charge 4 can't win against tribit and some people say flip is better

The lows, deeper bass from the Tribit is a clear winner.
Flip 4 louder but harsh at max, tribit cheaper and sounding the same. My wallet says Tribit....

loud doesn't mean quality sound, both are good but tribit if you have a good ear has more potential
Hope they weren't recorded in that same position, otherwise its quite of a bias
I think some people like the 360 sound of Tribit and others like the direct and loud sound of JBL. In my opinion, the interest of people varies.. Also please be aware that here in this video, the mic captures direct sound from JBL louder.. which can also be a reason to think that Tribit is not louder than JBL. In the real scenario, it can be different.
I just purchased my stormbox, and it wasn't really loud, but i am loving the clarity of its sound, very pleasant to hear in my opinion.

@@bhavinjain9367 if you are looking for more sound power/loudness, go for JBL but if you are on a budget, sound clarity, battery power, go for Tribit. JBL is noticibly louder because it is a front facing speaker while the Tribit has speakers on its sides, creating that 360 surrounds effect. I am happy with my purchase of Tribit, it sounds like an expensive speaker.

No one is the winner for me. The JBL has a better sound quality and better dinamic range. But the Tribit sound louder with better bass. I think Jbl may be the best of both for classical music and jazz but Tribit may be better for rock and dancing music.....to me the tribit will be perfect on a party, at the beach, on a pool, a barbecue, etc...
Thanks for your great video! The Flip 4 sounds a bit brighter!, leading to believe, that it handles the highs better!, but, XBoom has slightly better bass, as handling lower, deeper sounds! SOO, XBoom wins!LOL!

Dude my doubt is jbl flip 4 is having both front facing speakers so if we place jbl flip 4 facing towards us we could get a total of 8×2=16 watts of total sound output. But in Tribit Stormbox the speakers are facing towards the sides so if we place Stormbox facing towards us we will get only less sound output. So for getting better sound output we have to place the speaker either on right direction or left direction facing towards us. But if we place the speaker on right or left facing towards us we are only getting a 12 watt sound output and the other 12 watt speaker is facing the backward direction so how could we get a better audio quality than jbl flip 4 and flip 3 and how could we get a immersive sound experience?. Please clarify my doubt bro

Wrong position of tribit xboom you made while testing. .why you put it like that? The best is the volume control buttons must be in the center so that the full surround sounds can be heard. But, still people are satisfied with the xboom atleast. What if you made position to what I suggested. Xboom will gonna eat alive the jbl.. just saying!

nothing beats xboom i think, only soundcore flare comes close to it for the quality and price, all others are to expensive, like bose and jbl so rip bose and jbl. The only issue with xboom is that its low on supply and not available across the world.

No, there is nothing similar between the sounds of the two speakers. JBL has more upfront colored mids and pretty aggresive highs, whereas the sound on the tribit is on the opposite side for the mids (muffled but I bit more correct, if I can even say that, because both sound like crap in terms of audio quality). The (non-existant) bass could be comparable, if 100 Hz is what one would even call bass. Just no, my ears would probably start to bleed after less than 5 min of listening to each of them. There is no musing out of bluetooth speakers below the $300 range period.
