I have over the last couple of years, bought way more bluetooth speakres then I'll really need and I have to say this Tribit Stormbox is one of the best. I can't believe all the negative comments I've seen about this speaker. You can use the speaker without the bass boost button if you want the sound is just fine except not as much bass. However, the sound certainly isn't unuseable by any means. Great job on the video and going over the features. I'm going to contact Tribit to figure out how to get two of them together as a stereo pair. For my needs, I'm very glad I can listen to audio books as well as music. Taking 4 hours to recharge is a little long for me, but not a big deal, as I can listen to other speakers while the speaker is charging. Just get this speaker it is very good and I as a user of it think you will like it and if you don't for some reason, return it within 30 days and amazon can get you your money back.
Quick notes about the Tribit StormBox. Bluetooth will vary with delay pending on the device you use and daisy chaining these will add more delay (noticable lip-sync issue when watching a movie or playing a game). Daisy chaining only amplifies the sounds. You really want a speaker that can pair in stereo to enhance the sound. Battery life us shorter pinding the volume (max volume about 3 hours) if you plan to listen to music pretty loudly. Expect a shorter life. If you lessen around 20 to 30 percent. You might get more of that 15 houre range.
I do have Tribit Max sound plus , whic is really good as u mentioned, so add few more in your budget to buy Stormbox for next time, but I am still happy with Max sound plus!!!!!!!
Nice video. Interesting that some comment says both nearly same sound quality with the maxsound plus just tiny bit better. Maybe different people different preference
That's true. Same thing with headphones... There's always a certain sound signature that's more pleasing to some people, and not others. Thanks anyways! Welcome aboard ;)
sounds good tech. I will buy 2 of the tribit stormbox. I believe and agree with your review. I bought the tribit stormbox micro and very impressed with the sound quality so I bought 2. I´m sure the tribit maxsound plus also sounds great. The tribit speaker line is so reasonably priced, that I wouldn´t even think twice purchasing these speakers.... thanks for the video😊
I want to buy this but the micro usb port was the deal breaker for me, hopefully they can make an uprade on this like they did with the xsound go, they made it a type c port.
No distortion? I hope your right, I have mine coming in this week. I bike ride a lot and having a loud speaker is what I want. The JBL flip 4 and 5 wasn’t loud enough when riding next to high traffic. Hopefully this will be better
Bro my doubt is jbl flip 4 is having both front facing speakers so if we place jbl flip 4 facing towards us we could get a total of 8×2=16 watts of total sound output. But in Tribit Stormbox the speakers are facing towards the sides so if we place Stormbox facing towards us we will get only less sound output. So for getting better sound output we have to place the speaker either on right direction or left direction facing towards us. But if we place the speaker on right or left facing towards us we are only getting a 12 watt sound output and the other 12 watt speaker is facing backward so how could we get a better audio quality than jbl flip 4 and flip 3 and how could we get a immersive sound experience?. Please clarify my doubt bro
Ok, that's a good one. Just as with any speaker, positioning makes a crap-ton of difference, and with bluetooth ones like this, 360 ones like the Stormbox are "less" ideal to substitute normal speakers in situations like you're describing with the JBLs. 360 speakers fill up rooms a bit better, so they're more "ideal" for when you're literally trying to get a better audio fill when you're off-axis. To be fully 100% honest, I'd suggest going for a pair of powered stereo bookshelf speakers instead of 2x JBL Flip 4 if you're looking for that stereo separation etc etc.
@@TechHyped I'm really curious how much better it is than the flip 4. I have the flip 4 and I'm wondering if I should get this instead and sell my flip
Well, I think its better, yeah, but not necessarily a “sell my other stuff and run off to buy one” kind of better. Unless you’re aiming for the daisy-chain thing
Dang… not sure bro. It should be. Controlled automatically by the device using said codec to pair with it directly. The speaker is always the “compatible” part of the equation, not the one demanding a codec
I bought another one because I was impressed with it. But don’t forget it falls in the category of small Bluetooth speakers. But it sounds amazing. The highs and mids are very well pronounced and the bass is not an overkill. You can feel the bass when you leave it on a table or couch and next to it but it’s not gonna shake your windows of course. But I compared it to the Flip 4(because the flip 5 sucks and it’s a huge downgrade) and the Stormbox hits those crisp highs like no other. The bass on the flip 4 is slightly lower but the Stormbox is more crispy and clear than the Flip 4. Very impressed 👏
@@germeswinpordcanillo6910 It is! Still bumping 👍 but if you want a better one for a few more bucks buy the Tribit Stormbox Pro! It has great sound and bass ! It’s on sale right now at Walmart
Some fabulous, affordable, less portable bluetooth speakers, ($100 and below) are Anker Soundcore Motion +, Oontz Angle 3 Ultra Pro or XL, Doss Soundbox XL or Doss Soundbox Pro +.
@@crisjohn5853 Yeah, but most of them aren't so portable, water-protected and lightweight.. Anker Motion+ should be nice option, if you like to carry 1kg bricks. 😅 But I cant be more happy with my Tribit Maxsound+ (old microUSB model), and also my 2 x Stormboxes in TWS pair 😉
Good question... I'm gonna lock it in the closet playing something to test it out, but I'd wager it wont go over 80% of the advertised battery longevity.
Yes, for most cases it's could be really loud but soundin clean and crisp even outdoors. But some of JBL speakers are actually a bit louder that Tribit's.
4-11-1020, just picked up one of these in blue from Amazon for $51.99. Could have had black for $49.99 but I love blue, so the extra $2 was a no-brainer! Wanted an external speaker to use my smartphone with Pandora while sitting out on my back porch... psychedelic/goa trance, club dance music, can't wait to get it! Thanks for the review, subscribed!
Hahahaha.... I never go for the more "flashy colorful" options... It's always matte black, dark grey or raaaaaaaaaarely a white (which is extremely rare in bluetooth speakers as far as I'm concerned). Either way, enjoy it bro! And welcome aboard ;)
Hey Gus, does this speaker make a big loud sound when you pair it with something or even just when turning it on? I heard some that do and it's super annoying.
Disagree on the audio quality part, if you like hifi sounds, maxsound plus definitely sounds better, i have both, i use maxsound plus in the car because of the clarity in mids and highs with adequate bass, and the stormbox in the room because it fills the room much better with stronger bass.
Flip 5 is like a downgrade compared to the flip 4, and I can tell you the tribit is a better option compared to the flip 4. Especially when it comes to price to performance ratio.
Oooh that’s a tough one… Haven’t tested the micro, so I can’t compare them directly, but even if they have the same “sound quality”, the regular Stormbox has a 24w driver against the 9w of the Micro, so it should be MUCH more powerful…. Plus 20h of playtime vs 8. The rest is up to you, I guess!
It kinda left a bad taste in my mouth they way you kicked the MaxSound Plus to the curb. I love that speaker. With that said I will b purchasing The StormBox. With coupon it’s $45 on Amazon 😊

yeah more balanced maxsound but my bais is on stormbox for a more theater surround when im watching movies. I dont really know just buy both of them for situational purposes
I kinda agree... It's a lovely sound, but usb-micro... Dang... If I'm not mistaken, they've launched a couple of new speakers that use USB-C, or at least I'm 10000000% hoping they are.

Not “really”.
It does quite a fantastic job at the illusion of stereo sound but the distance between the speakers is too short.
