These phones are meant for a very specific kind of ppl. Camper, hikers, miners, construction workers and possibly militery. Ppl who spend alot of time outdoors for days or weeks and away from places to charge there device. For the few ppl I've seen with these devices it was their work phone so the main device isn't at risk. Satellite connectivity would definitely make these even better.

Why did Samsung drop the micro SD on the new Note20 Ultra 5G. Marketing should be FIRED!
That sh ain't new anymore. But yeah I hate that SD card slots are going away.
they did it to make money off the cloud....
I thought the Note 20 came out 3yrs ago. What do you mean by new???
When they offered 64gb, 128gb, and 256gb of internal storage, some people would buy the lower priced 64gb phone and then just add a 512gb sd card. No SD card slot means if you need a lot of storage you have no choice but to buy the higher priced 512gb or the 1tb phone....to add insult to injury, you buy a $1000 phone and don't get a charging brick with it.
The SD card slot is what convinced me to buy one
a phone that chunky with that size battery should have a second USB port on the side to charge other devices, sounds like a good phone to have in the hurricane season where I live tho 🤔..

My old Samsung Galaxy S4 Active form around 2013 has a charge port cover.
I have had rugged phones from Ulefone's(3 models) and Doogee's(2 models). I work in a metal building and all had a weak signal.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy and the compatible smart tags and the Samsung can take a call in the building while the China brand will not.
The Ulefone Power Armor 13 measurement laser is accurate, speaker has gone out, but both brands get weak signal with T-mobile.
I think it is because they don't have all the channels required to get high strength signal?
I can use this for my car. I can put it under the tire to prevent my car from rolling downhill.👍
After my Oukitel 10000mAh got no updates anymore and I did have to change it for my banking app I have stop buying this type of phones because the producer doesn't care about our pockets, he cares about his pockets.
werent the bootloader unlocked for those?
I don't want that phone, but I do wonder why Samsung and Apple haven't done the night vision camera yet.
Sony did release one before. But through US authorities, was advised to discontinue public distribution. Either it became exclusively produced for choiced personnel or discontinued with the thought that it would give advantage to groups not aligned with western powers. So makes me wonder if this device would not also catch their attention and bully the makers to stop distribution.
For controlling your freedom. Sony nightshot cameras , such a beauty.
marketing strategy... they delay tech for sales
Night vision is lies lies .x eat carrots
Apple is only interested in your money not functionality (nor charging accessories). Samsung can DO Everything Apple does for profit.
Pretty much my ideal phone. Only I would change a couple of things, a 10,000mA/h battery would be enough and the screen would need a function to illuminate the screen with the help of ambient light. the processor and its cooling would also need to be upgraded as we have increasingly high summer temperatures.
Think I just found my next phone. 👍🏼 Thank you so much for the very detailed review. 💯 Subbed.
I count the external SD memory card as a big pro also
Same!
This would be the ultimate guilty pleasure for me. I love products nobody has or nobody knows about. I used to have a CAT S60, because nobody in my hometown had one outside of their jobs. I just had it, because I could and I was happy to have the thermal sight camera when fire broke out in a store downtown. The fire department came and I could tell them straight away where the fire hazard was at lol. They were amazed that someone not at a worksite, had a thermal camera ready and steady haha.
Right now I'm still using a Galaxy Note 10 from 2019 and I'm planning to get a new phone by March 2025. I've been enjoying your videos and especially this one. I hope that by March I can still get this one (probably on Amazon, because there is NO physical store in the Netherlands that sells Doogee other than Amazon online) or the runner up. I have read about an update for specifically this phone, but no mentioning about the stabilitzation. HOWEVER ... I primarily use the ABC-app (A BETTER CAMERA) which should solve this issue. The camera on my Note 10 isn't all too great and the ABC-app fixed the sluggish Note 10 camera-app instantly.
Maybe you can check if that's the case for this awesome phone as well ?
That’s a good reason for having one.
Whats the weight on that you might want to stand for that looks pretty heavy good for outdoor use
I'm often looking for my phone around the house. At least this one's easier to find. The speakers serm to be in another level.
For the type of phone I expect at least a 6.9" phone, and I need a DAC with a built-in headphone jack. it's why I still have my LGV60.
Headphone jacks are out for waterproofing purposes. If your phone has a headphone jack, chances are it's not IP68 rating
LG V60 is more than enough
I've had a cell phone since the mid 2000's. Never dropped any of them in water or needed weatherproofing to the point of excluding a headphone jack. I'd much rather have the better sound quality of a wired headphone and better audio processing that the LG V60 has when using it. BTW: What makes you think the headphone jack is any more susceptible to water invasion than a speaker or charging port? And what makes you think it can't be made just as waterproof as any other opening on a phone? The V60 is IP68 rated just like a lot of phones that have headphone jacks.@@purrplemane5954
Yup. I have two now. An original from when they were first released and a new one I got 8 months ago. They are still selling them new from old LG stock out of China for $200. Only problem is they are shipping with questionable batteries so you might need to buy a new one and replace it after a few months, but everything else is identical in every way and it comes with the newest version of Android too. Had a Samsung from a couple years ago that I dumped because it became useless after all the Samsung updates crippled it. Unlike with other brands, with the LG, you never have to worry about forced performance killing updates since LG doesn't support them.
That phone looks rugged tough like a Motorola Nextel 530
I have always said all products should have a practical non-slip grip. They are shiny in the box but need a case as soon as we take them out.
Well if the IR light is there, maybe they should bring back the IR Blaster as well so it could be used as a Universal Remote. That died off with the S5 I think.
Looks like the older days when people use to use a zero lemon battery.

Samsung, Apple, Motorola, OnePlus. Anything else is either straight up garbage or will not work unless you know how to go through it with a computer and tweak the programs inside the phone itself. But then you run into the issues of its illegal to do that and if you're caught its federal charges stacked against you by the FCC. As those companies are not willing to pay our government their fee for their products to be distributed to Americans. It's all BS really. If we can buy it, we should be able to use whatever we want.

IDK BUT THAT'S WHAT A MILITARY VETERAN SAID IN THESE COMMENTS
Coolest thing is the night vision honestly. It's kinda big with only being able to lay 48 hours I thought you were gonna say this would last a week. I feel like when phone manufacturers start utilizing solid state batteries someone this big and built won't be necessary.
Nobody wants that big ass phone
I want
Its £90 on Amazon!!!!!! I'm getting it as a phone I can use along side my current phone for that money its a no brainer!!!
Ok…. great idea on paper….
How long does it take to charge 22,000mAmp battery? 4-5hours using supplied 33W charger..? What are you supposed to do when the phone is charging for 4-5 hours?
There are plenty of amazing 20,000mAmp portable power banks with magics (wifi routing, powershare etc) and you can charge it separately with speed up to 100W. It is possible to buy two and always carry one while the other one is charging. That means on you camping trip you can take 5,000 (S24) + 20,000* 2 = 45,000mAmp…. It sounds silly but it is to just demonstrate it is not just about mAmp…
On the rugged case, you can get a really decent design choices and colours whatever you want… some comes with 5,000-7,000 built in power bank etc.
FYI, there is a Samsung.phone special phone supplied to armed forces only which has everything that this phone has plus Sat comm and encryption for team level (platoon or company level) off network communication (it is similar to bluetooth but longer range).
So all in all…. No thx.
