- In this video, we take our 2024 Tacoma to Red Elephant Hill, a trail in Colorado. This trail is rated a six out of ten on Trails Offroad for being rocky and having some off-camber spots.
The long bed 2024 Tacoma performed well despite getting hung up on many spots. There wasn't really anything on this trail that the 2024 Tacoma couldn't get past.

That was not part of my test drive yesterday. But I did successfully navigate 3 stop lights, multiple lane changes, 1 brisk acceleration and a bevy of routine daily driver tasks. I came to the conclusion that this vehicle should not be domesticated. Its natural habit was in the wild.
Acquiring a '24 Tacoma was a bad decision, but to risk squeezing thru that tree??? At least you're consistent....(3rd gen Tacoma TRD PRO all the waaaaaay!)
I recently did this trail in my 2nd gen Tacoma on 33’s. Was definitely a challenge because of how steep and loose some parts are. 35’s and a front locker would have definitely been helpful.
I am a little confused why the black Taco is not deflated more. It doesn't need the clearance.

I just picked up my 24 Taco OR with a long bed. Have you noticed any disadvantages with the long bed in your off road journeys?
You'll high center sooner than others on hill like obstacles and have more difficulty in switchbacks.
