After years of stripping out hex bolts on my bikes I stumbled on a variation of hex called Hex Plus by a German company caller Werner. Bought a set on Amazon and have not stripped out a hex bolt since. Even get stripped hex bolts out. Highly recommend these. The aggravation they save is well worth the cost. Also they are stainless steel. Capital Q quality for sure.
Love the videos. I've learned a lot. One note though. Please watch the volume on the music. Some of us wear headphones and we set the volume so we can here you clearly, but when the music comes on...well..whew. Thanks
01/22/21 thanks for the great video. You just saved me a boatload of $$$. Prior owner happened to leave a single side front brake pads in the RH pannier for me. Done in about 40 minutes. Luckily, I have a metric and SAE Allen key set and sockets. Post maintenance check ride was 4.0.
Good job Clifford. I am into rebuilding my master cylinder for the rear unified braking system. Oh what a job it was to take it off. Gonna a heck of a task to reinstall it once I am done. How do you get the muffler by the center kickstand off? I have all the 6 maniflod nuts off with the pipes down. Just can’t seem to move that center canister, even with all the bolts removed. Should I use some torches to heat them up from the header pipes? Let me know, thanks.
I have a retaining clip that fell off some where and cannot figure out where it goes. Fell off during the bracket removal, any ideas? For a 93 Goldwing 1500
Good lesson, Clifford. I'd be happy to give a little cash, but after a dispute with PayPal that cost me $60, I won't expose my checking account to them ever again.....
Exactly what i needed to feel confident. Got mine changed after watching this thanks! Q. There's a little rubber cap that covers a nipple on my brake assembly. (98 valkyrie) is that a zerk fitting for grease, or something to bleed the lines with?
Great video. Got the front right caliper off, caps and hanger pins out and brake pads out. Not successful with left front yet, caliper came off, caps off, but both hanger pins totally seized, even after application of WD40 and sitting over night, finally ended up stripping the socket heads on the pins after considerable attempts. Any way to get the seized hanger pins out without destroying the caliper?
Invest in a impact driver always use it first to loose motorcycle screws and bolts. You will find you will strip a lot less hardware by using this simple hand tool and always make sure to use the proper size bit. Do yourself a favour and it the one with the hand guard you will thank me for that I own a few of them bought over the years and whacked a few digits before the hand guard. lol
hello from Israel ...Why you don't put the original pads the original pads it's double g and you put double h.... You need to clean the piston before you push it inside.... The original pads have a spacer .... To open the cops next time use impact driver.... Thank you for the videos

Thanks Clifford. It was a first-time deal for me and you walked me thru it with ease.
Your videos have helped a lot of folks save money 👍 Me for one.

About to tackle fork rebuild. Figured it's a good time to do the brakes too. Thanks for the guide. Very well done!
Have to say I have a service manual but watching your videos are way better! I have '93 goldwing same colour as as yours!
The variety of Music adds add flavor to these videos LOL
Greetings
As always another fantastic detailed video 🇺🇸🎉🍾🇺🇸
Keep producing more videos.

You helped me 100% first time doing brakes on a bike
Very clear, concise, and a great help
Thanks for a great video again ,but is good to add a few drops of brake fluid on the caliper pistons before moove them back.
Regards
Very detail video, looks simple to do the brakes.
Very good video. Simple, straightforward. Makes changing brake pads very simple. Thanks Cliff!
Should you take off the brake fluid fill cap when pushing the pistons back into the caliper when installing new pads?
Great video the only thing I do different on brakes is I use never seize on all the bolts
Clifford. There is a bushing that can fall out. Which is located lower brake mount on the fork.
how did you drill out the pins without messing the threading?
Great video. Thanks. Any way to check the pads without taking the caliper off?
Cliff your alright and everything.
Yes I'm hanging in there, the best I can. Thank you for asking! I'm working on my return to TH-cam.

Well It's been 4 weeks since your question. I'm assuming you realized that thing that looks like a grease fitting is your brake fluid bleeder nut.
@@BENJAMIN-zi4gv haha! Sure did, but thanks for replying anyway!

drill it out. just don't ruin the threads

Great video sir. Did you have to take the cap off of the master cylinder prior to depressing the pistons? Thanks!
Nooby Vapor its helps, but I dont think i did.
Спасибо большое!
Any suggestions to get the pin caps off? Sprayed them with release spray, but the buggers just wont come out
Most likely going have to drill it. Be careful not to damage the threads on the caliper. It will take time and patience, dont rush it.
they are basically just dust covers
@@BENJAMIN-zi4gv I got them out. Used an extractor tool. Just a pain in the ass is all lol
,,whats wrong with never sieze?..

j ai vu le coté gauche mais pas le droit
Cliff. Didn't that fluid mess up your fender clear coat?
Yes it can, but not if you clean it up fast enough.
reverse lights on the Duster are not working.
You failed to mention, that the brake fluid reservoir cap, needs to be removed before the pistons can be pushed back!
Turn the music down,
