I was diagnosed with Barretts in 2010. I suffered with GERD since my teens. I have a scope every 3 years and only once so far was there a 'suspicious spot' which thankfully was negative when we got the results. I've been on a PPI (Protonix/Dexilant- whichever insurance would cover!) since 2010 but I didn't go Keto/Carnivore until about 2014 but my GI and PCP never wanted to hear about anything but a low fat/veg/fiber heavy diets. I've fallen off the Keto/Carnivore wagon many times but I'm trying! Watching the Keto/Carnivore channels on YT helps keep me on track and I've done well the last month in staying Keto. I have pretty much over the past 2 months, weaned myself off of the PPI, if I'm having reflux I can't tell it. I definitely try to cut off eating between 3pm-6pm every day to avoid nighttime reflux. I'm due for a scope this year so we'll see how it goes! Wishing you the best with your BE! 🙏

Thanks for the video and glad you're doing better.! The choking sounds a lot like eosinophilic esophagitis. This is when you eat food and have a allergy and throat swells. I have this for gluten, anything I eat with gluten I can't swallow that well and fells like you're choking. So, I have EOE and Barretts I changed a lot of my diet and doing a lot better. I also found a study about strawberries and how they cure barretts. Thats what i am doing now and interested see after a year if it helped or not.

I had developed GERD and was put on medication similar to Nexium. Low carb diet fixed it.
Has your Barrett’s Esophagus been kept in check since you have been eating carnivore?

Glad to hear a low carb diet has helped!!
Thankfully yes, my Barrett's has been in check since going low carb. With that said, it is always in the back of my mind. Every sore throat, every scope, makes me nervous. I pray it never resurfaces!!
