It’s funny how people think he broke because he’s retired and found a new purpose he rich as hell but imagine your entire life revolved around something then it stops you gotta find something to give your life meaning and this what he like

Notre Dame class of '77 (though he went "hardship", i.e., early), same as I.

Dude had career 54% fg% that is ridiculously good better than Tim Duncan AND about the same as Charles Barkley.

Truly a humble superstar...was a technician on the court. Got his points without traveling.

Dantley was the most efficient and technical pure scorer ever seen on a basketball court.

I can't argue. Gervin and Bird were more fun to watch. They combined pure shooting with an assortment of moves and ways to score. Each could use their left hand well, too. But no one topped AD for steady efficiency and consistency.

@@ultra3934 McHale is a little higher 55.4 to Dantley's 54.0. But Kevin was a much taller PF who generally played a little closer to the basket. So that's a big difference right there

Always respected Adrian, for someone only 6' 5" he did some serious damage in the paint. A very smart player with a lot of talent, it was a sad day when the Jazz traded him to the Pistons. Thanks for posting this, and Adrian if you happen to read this thanks for the great memories and nice to see you living a sweet life.

I had the pleasure of playing against this brother in high school. It was the Jelleff Summer League in Georgetown, Wasington DC. It was the playoffs and we were the eighth seed. He score 40 points on us while arriving late to the game and missing most of the first half. He's a DC Ledgend and a hell of a nice guy!

I was born in 1996. Mr. Dantley seems like what Tracy McGrady is for our generation. He'll be forgotten by the masses. But if you saw it when it happened, ohhhhh man... T-Mac or Kobe was a conversation for a few years. Mr. Dantley, thank you from INDIA :). You did a great service to our game and you continue as a person. Again, love from INDIA! :)
