It’s really sad. This episode was right up there with nosedive in the beginning and middle, but towards the end, you could tell that they just had to wrap it up so they could package and deliver it.

It's a great episode but I believe that the situation could have been avoided if Gwen would have just told Jamie she'll call him after the campaign. Jamie would not have been so overwhelmed during the interview.
True, but I feel like Monroe's personal attack was already too much for Jamie's ego to handle and regardless of the Gwan situation, Jamie would've snapped. Gwan not telling Jamie she'd call him back only added more fuel to the fire

"The ones who keep saying they're dissatisfied with the way things are and want to make a change but end up not changing anything" that's funny because you described literally every major leader of modern countries from the past 20 years.
The thing is that change can't happen immediately. By the time it does happen, people will eventually forget about it. Am I only one who thought they made this episode and for the Black Mirror as they moved to Netflix just after this in new season and woth that they went and sell themselfs??
I hated this episode. It felt like an episode with many missed opportunities, and instead focused on the most boring things; all topped off with an annoying on-the-nose ending.
Just think we coulda had our own waldo moment if filthy frank had got into politics just as a meme or troll. I think he'd be voted for maybe even be the president of the whole world by now. Oh how I wish people like John Stewart and Kyle Kulinski ran for office, but yea he's right the comedians the pundits they may have fair points and even tell the truth way better then any political figure ever had that dont mean they have the answer tho. That dont mean they can fix it, tho I will say Zelensky in Ukraine is showing you can be a comedian and still care still be a good leader(despite all the russian bots saying "oh he's taking all the money tho") he's more of a real courageous man, more of a leader, and more of a comedian then putin and all his oligarch friends put together.
I find this and Metalhead the worst episodes from this series. From its other episodes, we see many fantasies and technologies that seem beyond our dreams if not only a few years away from reality. This episode, it’s just a boring political race. Wow this left me very excited and mind-boggled…
It's really hard for me to pick a favorite episode of Black Mirror because honestly, I love them all. But The Waldo Moment is definitely in my top 3. Among so many other political happenings, It so perfectly predicted and portrayed Trump that it's almost sickening to watch. I mean Waldo not only sounds like him but LOOKS like him! After watching your San Junipero ending explained though, I have to ask: what do you think is up with the Bisexual Lighting with Waldo?!?!
waldo and trump are more or less the same being. like all you have to do is turn trump into a cartoon and they more or less the same thing. i mean waldo got people to rage when he lost the vote and trump got people to riot when he lost. honestly really dose show how broken the system is.
So we were the children tired if sre boring veggies and the second a stranger came slong with a lolipop we happily went right along no questions asked. Peoples inability to be able to rationalize lead them down a path not to what was good but rather what was popular.
Watching this episode in 2024 is extra interesting. Because right now, after the past several years...I was wondering what is that interesting about this episode, I wasn't seeing the shock or something scary. And then I realized it's because this came out in 2013, when Trump running and other similar politicians was still seen as a joke. Maybe a joke that we now know was just on the verge of becoming reality, but a joke nonetheless. A totally different world. Now in 2024? This episode is pretty much just "yup, this is actually going on". There's nothing sci-fi about it.
When Monroe exposed Jamie in the talkshow and talked to him directly, my whole stomach turned inside out

If the ending depicted that none of the parties deserves our vote, that would have made perfect sense.
there was a point the guy from the agency said you could roll this out worldwide then Jamie said"Like Pringles" and I don't get it
if someone sees this comment and has some 4 minutes to reply I'd appreciate
Whoaaa I just realized Monroe is played by Edmure Tully
Such a great actor!
You should do "Inside No. 9"
Considerably better than black mirror
This is too CLOSE TO HOME RN 😭
Back here after a conversation with friends about matt hancock entering the im a celeb jungle
Charlie Booker sure had the last laugh with this one after it got negative reviews and was called far-fetched and things like that at the time...
Bearsky for Waldo Moment in Canada in the Next Federal Election! Let's make it happen!
I didn't realize that this just came out, I felt like I already watched this from you lol.
This is the first time I've talked about this episode as a whole, hope you liked it!
@@BryceEdwardBrown I did! It was really well done.
Lesss gooo!
I hear there are secret episodes of season 5 on TH-cam. How true is this?
i kinda thought there were some moments were waldo was funny. but i guess it was mostly in a post-ironic way because i think humor like that is so stupid that it just makes you insane and it becomes funny again. or maybe i am the "lowest common denominator" lmao
Am I only one who thought they made this episode and for the Black Mirror as they moved to Netflix just after this in new season and woth that they went and sell themselfs??
You dont seem very enthused to so this video.
I am, I swear haha
I'm late AF. So in other words, +rump tapped into the waldo effect
This episode sounds almost exactly like that robin williams movie man of the year (2006)
One of the worst episodes.
This is poggers
Hope you like it!
Username checks out
Waldo is the face of politicians in Philippines.
why is no one mentioning Niko Omilana??
I hated this episode. It felt like an episode with many missed opportunities, and instead focused on the most boring things; all topped off with an annoying on-the-nose ending.
It was still quite enjoyable tho
Wow this left me very excited and mind-boggled…
can u pls add arabic subtitles to ur videos? thanks i love u
Thanks rohanna terry, so happy to hear that!
While watching this episode all I could think about was Donald Trump
Most people tend to think the same thing
Man, this episode aged like a fine milk for Ukraine. lmao.
🤣Man's an actual clown
I exist.
I validate your existence.
@@gert8439 Thank you.
So we were the children tired if sre boring veggies and the second a stranger came slong with a lolipop we happily went right along no questions asked. Peoples inability to be able to rationalize lead them down a path not to what was good but rather what was popular.
They predicted Donald Trump
The Waldo moment is the biggest argument against democracy.
GradeAunderA moment
It's 2023, now we know what happens when a comedian runs a country.
Ukraine
Bear pun counter is going nowhere, so BEAR with it!
Waldo is just a Political VTuber
Wtf was this episode. It didn't even end
I didn't like this episode that much upon my first viewing but revisiting it made it better!
5:30 or so funny enough the Current president as of 2023 of Ukraine was a comedian aged like milk
My least favourite ep lol
I liked Waldo and thought he was funny 😭😭😭
Waldo or Trump you could say there are similarities I have been seeing
That's guy behind waldo is like the president of Ukrain!!!
Click bait title..... You never actually explained the ending 🙄
Ended with 45 becoming President.
