I won’t lie, I have a special space in my heart for this lil guy. I got him 4 weeks into what was meant to be a 2 week lockdown. This figure reminds me that I left high school 4 months early and went to college without doing my GCSE’s and weirdly, that was a great time in my life. Spring-Summer 2020 was brilliant for me so this figure reminds me of that time fantastic time. I think if I got him later I wouldn’t like him that much
Honestly, I can see that, cause something similar happened to me. This funny-looking toy was the first -toy- tangible thing my father bought me in 14 years. Not only that, but I was skating through HS senior year with a GPA in the top percent of my grade, despite the pandemic happening parallel, with that year culminating in the blessing being I was able to walk across the stage in MY graduation. It was a short graduation and they rushed us out of there, even though we paid +100 for our Grad Robes, and we were only given 8 tickets to invite 8 people because of "social distancing", but I made it work. Every time I logged off of online class, the first thing I saw was Cliffjumper, since I always decorated my desk with him. I know he's not an overly great figure, but I can't really bring my self to hate him. On the other hand, if I was an actual character in Transformers though, I'd still want to punch Cliffjumper in the face.

The papercuts really got me... Got my siege Jetfire yesterday. He's pretty good. Didn't realize how big he was. I knew he was big, but I didn't expect him to be almost half TR Fortress Maximus' height. I almost wonder... if the budget went to royalties to the guy who designed the original MP. Otherwise, I bet they justified the price with "it's la smaller masterpiece"

I love the buzzworthy bumblebee version, but I don't hate the original ER version. I think that is mainly because it was my first figure in my collection.
Same, that’s why I hated bumblebee, he can never appear until another reboot because he was killed off within 5 seconds of appearing. Same goes for BlitzWing who also can never show up again, and his appearance was literally a starscream repaint.
Perspective there is a secret neck joint in the Clifjumper mold just pull up on the head in robot mode and a hinge pops up giving him more neck movement
It has to be a modified version of the original mold to be a retool. By your definition all Optimus Primals are retools because they share a few steps.
No its not the same thing, because while yes they do have transformations that are largely similar, that's just because they are mimicking the show design. This started as a Bumblebee MP 1.0 and was changed till it became this.
I definitely agree with all the points you made in this video, I think the reason I don't hate it is due to a mixture of 2 things, 1, I don't dislike parts forming as much as you do, and 2, I knew it wasn't a great figure when I got it, so I was actually pleasantly surprised with it.
I always thought the back piece being able to plug into the back of the rocket launcher was implying that that piece was meant to make him not a parts-former at some point in the design phase, since it always reminded me of the upgrade kits for him, but they cheaped out and just turned it into nothing.
As much as we hate this figure, I don't think watching you would've ever been the same without him. Don't think i can even watch a video featuring Cliffjumper without imagining him careening across the screen into a wall, or being repeatedly beaten in a lightbox thanks to your content. No matter how big your collection gets, please never get rid of ER Cliffjumper.

My collection has indeed gained new members, Leo Prim which is probably my favorite, Magnificus who makes a great case for the Perceptor mold, Toy colors Galvatron or Galvatron II if you like time travel, BlitzWing who may not be accurate in alt modes but is really fun, and was the only one of the figures at the store that I did not have so that likely played a part in my purchase, then apparently two haven’t arrived. In short, my birthday was awesome! 2.Wow I didn’t know there were so many talented people here, I am thoroughly impressed!

I think I figured out why I like this thing: 1) The very quality feeling red plastic 2) the final part of going into car mode where you smush it all together 3) the head 4) holding the car mode or putting it in my pocket (perfect hand size) i agree with lots of the complaints but idk it just feels fun to me i definitely get why people hate it but after digging it back out of my closet i kinda like it again
1 I've felt better like Siege Prime. 2 see I hate the playdough factor of that. 3 The head is good. 4 I suppose you have much smaller hands than I do. Glad you still enjoy it.

Do you know Cliffjumper’s giant cannon can split up into pieces and attach to Cliffjumper in his alt mode to form his jet ski mode from Dinobot Island pt 2? This may not make a difference in the figure’s overall quality but I think the giant gun deserves more credit.
Has there ever been a Chug Bumblejumper mold that hasn’t been severely compromised? I really don’t want to get this or Bee, but I feel like that for these two characters, this is the closest ever gotten to a “good” toy outside of MP 1.0 Bee.
In my series her was originally overconfident, reckless, and fun loving. Then he got trapped on a ship where a monster killed all his friends and he was stuck on that ship hiding from that same monster, now he’s paranoid and has ptsd
If anything, the best part about this figure is the choice of alt mode. In order to avoid any trouble with Porsche, they made Clifjumper a Mitsubishi Starion/Chrysler Conquest, which looks like a smaller boxier 944(his G1 alt mode).
Ahh ER Cliffjumper. The figure that sold me on the Classics Cliffjumper figure. I had the Netflix Bumblebee and didn't keep it long, only to get lucky finding an MP-21 for like $40. As for Cliff, I highly recommend the Classics figure with an asterisk. The original figure is a straight repaint with a red Bumbledome, and the Beezlebub upgrade kit with Cliffs head and a stylized big boy cannon is hard to find. Once again I got lucky finding someone selling the upgraded figure for a steal. Also it's Classics, meaning show accuracy is not the point at all and he's got a very 2000s altmode. If these don't bother you and you're just looking for a good Cliffjumper figure that hasn't aged too badly besides maybe in articulation, I recommend it.

It feels good to tell you that ss 86 Devastator is rumored to be coming. I know it's just a rumor, but it's hope for me. Along with that, ss 86 will be ending sometime in 2024 and the constructions will most likely all be a Voyager or dinobot leaders and be two packs. Again this is a rumor. But me personally I know it would be out of scale for them to be leaders but construction vehicles are BIG. Also they might be two packs because of ss 86 ending. Hope you enjoyed these rumors but for sure ss 86 is gonna end like 2024 for sure. Also If it happens it is revealed That devastator is gonna be in the fan stream, IT'S GONNA FEEL GOOD TO BE RIGHT.
I have heard the Rumors, I am very hopeful. There's also an MMC Devastator in the works. 86 has gone on longer than I expected, and it's given us so many good figures, I'll be sad to see it go.
This is one of the first transformers I got, I joined at the tail end of siege and the start of earthrise, so I got most of the netflix figures at the time. Cliffjumper holds a weird spot for me, I picked it up really hyped, and then I got it out of the box, and the dude started to limbo because the backwards hinge in the ab was so loose. I like the way the red looks, and that is about it, I don't transform him ever after the first time almost broke him (getting him back to robot is a pain) and he just sits their at the front of my shelf. I know none of the reuses of this mold are much better, I do have goldbug purely because it is a character concept I like, but that figure really needed the runamuck/bout mold instead I think it would have been closer in robot mode to what he looked like. ANYWAYS rambling aside, that intro had me in stiches! Such a great review.

Core class bay-serbeak makes for a relatively decent Cliffjumper at the price point, and a sports car fits him far better than it ever did bayblebee. While still a spaghetti/bugface, the head also seems to offend me less as Cliff than Bumble-not-Hot-Shot. Best of all, at Core scale the excessive greebles fade into the whole when it's a few feet away on the shelf. He's close enough in size to Origins Bumblebee to not look terrible in a line-up, too.
The role he got in your earthrise video was way too much love he deserves but not enough so you gave him a pat on the head to finally give you enough reason to beat the crap out of him
My biggest problem with the partsforming is that they don’t even try and do anything with it. Most of the time they try and turn the chunk into some sort of shield or something, which still isn’t ideal, but shows at least some level of effort.

The fact i got three of this mold shows my taste but if i had one suggestion on how to improve it i wish the arms and legs were longer parts forming i can live with but even point blank can do a superhero landing and thats saying something.

Earthrise cliff jumper was my first transformer that got me into the fandom but I lost the dumb shield thing and now I hate the figure but he still holds a place in my heart for being my first (that got me back into transformers not my actual first)

Once again I got lucky finding someone selling the upgraded figure for a steal. Also it's Classics, meaning show accuracy is not the point at all and he's got a very 2000s altmode. If these don't bother you and you're just looking for a good Cliffjumper figure that hasn't aged too badly besides maybe in articulation, I recommend it.
Would you attack the other figures that use the cliffjumper mold for $1000 (Goldbug, Bumblebee, etc) even the ones you don’t have

This is true on both fronts.
It feels good to tell you that ss 86 Devastator is rumored to be coming. I know it's just a rumor, but it's hope for me. Along with that, ss 86 will be ending sometime in 2024 and the constructions will most likely all be a Voyager or dinobot leaders and be two packs. Again this is a rumor. But me personally I know it would be out of scale for them to be leaders but construction vehicles are BIG. Also they might be two packs because of ss 86 ending. Hope you enjoyed these rumors but for sure ss 86 is gonna end like 2024 for sure. Also If it happens it is revealed That devastator is gonna be in the fan stream, IT'S GONNA FEEL GOOD TO BE RIGHT.
I have heard the Rumors, I am very hopeful.
There's also an MMC Devastator in the works.
86 has gone on longer than I expected, and it's given us so many good figures, I'll be sad to see it go.
This is one of the first transformers I got, I joined at the tail end of siege and the start of earthrise, so I got most of the netflix figures at the time.
Cliffjumper holds a weird spot for me, I picked it up really hyped, and then I got it out of the box, and the dude started to limbo because the backwards hinge in the ab was so loose. I like the way the red looks, and that is about it, I don't transform him ever after the first time almost broke him (getting him back to robot is a pain) and he just sits their at the front of my shelf.
I know none of the reuses of this mold are much better, I do have goldbug purely because it is a character concept I like, but that figure really needed the runamuck/bout mold instead I think it would have been closer in robot mode to what he looked like.
ANYWAYS rambling aside, that intro had me in stiches! Such a great review.

Core class bay-serbeak makes for a relatively decent Cliffjumper at the price point, and a sports car fits him far better than it ever did bayblebee. While still a spaghetti/bugface, the head also seems to offend me less as Cliff than Bumble-not-Hot-Shot. Best of all, at Core scale the excessive greebles fade into the whole when it's a few feet away on the shelf. He's close enough in size to Origins Bumblebee to not look terrible in a line-up, too.
And then they made a rare bumblebee retool out of him.
You are fooling your self if you think that wasn't actually the first thing they designed, and then just released this first.

My biggest problem with the partsforming is that they don’t even try and do anything with it. Most of the time they try and turn the chunk into some sort of shield or something, which still isn’t ideal, but shows at least some level of effort.

Cliffjumpers durability has to be the best thing about the figure you literally beat the crap out of it and doesn't seem to have a scratch
It's got a lot of scratches, they just don't show up well on camera, but yes, it is remarkably durable.
I wonder if we will get a 86 new Cliffjumper out of the 86 Bumblebee mold. They already released one in the buzzworthy bumblebee line.

The fact i got three of this mold shows my taste but if i had one suggestion on how to improve it i wish the arms and legs were longer parts forming i can live with but even point blank can do a superhero landing and thats saying something.

Earthrise cliff jumper was my first transformer that got me into the fandom but I lost the dumb shield thing and now I hate the figure but he still holds a place in my heart for being my first (that got me back into transformers not my actual first)

Actually the paint is very badly chipped, but for some reason it just doesn't film. It's evident to the naked eye though.
