Hi Martin. Lovely tour. Lovely van. Exactly what i am looking for. Perhaps an update when you've done a few more miles regarding fuel consumption. Nice meeting you at Veryan btw. Good luck with it. Danny.
Haha, nice to meet you just now. And for subbing!! I will put ongoing additions/fixes etc and, yes, an up date after 3 or 6 months. Good luck in your hunt. Martin
Thank you for taking a look David. Been watching yours and wondering where you will end up. Still love mine after two weeks, but I guess you are heading for a rear lounge? I'm done with making beds up now!! Happy hunting. Martin
Hello, thank you for watching and commenting. And subscribing! Soon, I will be getting back to visiting castles and coasts, which is what I enjoy. Just had to go through this process. Yes, an oven is unusual. I understand, but maybe it will get some use. Thanks again and all the best. Martin
@@BentleyOnTour thank you. We will watch your videos about the vans you viewed as we seem to want similar things in a van when we come to change. Enjoy your travels, Joanne and Paul and Herdy the van (an Autotrail Exp 67)
Looks great. I may go for the longer Ducato next time but the way this year is going I think I'll get a 4x4 or a boat! I've recently been to Kingston Lacy (twice!) and did a vid too; what a lovely place.
Hi there, and thanks for dropping by. I think the 6 metre is the most common, but being a tall dude, I needed the longitudinal bed! Oh crikey, the rain has been biblical. Boat would be a good shout! Would definitely return to Kingston Lacy camp site. All the best. Martin
Hi just watched your video. It looks a lovely van and I love the colour and the interior. I've had my Elddis CV20 from new 4 years now and been living in it full-time ever since. I had it converted to live offgrid but still always like to look at other alternatives. Thanks for sharing and I wish you all the best in your new Ducato 👍☺️
Thank you for dropping by. I have watched some of your videos. I do love my new Pilote so far! 12 days in 😁. Long may it continue. Your van has got some kit, I must say. Once you have all that gear it is more difficult to change I would imagine. All the best, Martin
@@BentleyOnTour Hi Martin thanks for your comment. Yes it's a dilemma as you pointed out, would I get a good price probably not to be honest so hence just keep plodding on with it. I do love my van I get attached as I did with my little Toyota Aygo I sold last year after 12 years owning it. I've just had the Cambelt, timing belt etc all renewed and a new MOT cert. All the extras do make a difference offgrid as campsites now are too expensive the money I save from them goes into improving the van. I have kept with the CCC membership as a back up if ever needed. Regards Mac
@thecampervanner Interestingly I got more for my old van than I bought it for four and a half years ago, so you never know. As for camp sites some are way overpriced, however I did a 5 week tour last September and the average I paid per night was £11.78, 32 nights. Cheapest was £6.50. I am with CCC and go for grass, no electric, oldies discount too, so that is fine with me. I have just thought of maybe doing a video 'is it less stress living in a van' 🤣🤣. All the best. Subbed too 👍🏻
@@BentleyOnTour @BentleyOnTour Like you for the first 3 years I used campsites and even did site sitting for the CCC during winter months you get all your ehu and use of their facilities free as your there as a volunteer not paid! I upgraded the van a year ago after the warranty expired as I didn't want any conflicts with the warranty. The last time I used a campsite CCC Devizes was last October for 3 nights. I find it less stressful living in the van I sometimes stay with family and friends and find living in a house clostafobic I like to be free and go wherever! Having said that I'm looking at residential sites possibly up in Scotland away from the madness in England (traffic) lol thanks for subbing back Martin hopefully see you on the road sometime! Best wishes Mac 🚐☺️
Thanks, Mr B. I actually think the quality is pretty good. I was a bit surprised that the Hobby (German) van I looked at was relatively poor. We will see how it's holding up in a year or two 😁👍🏻
Very nice, well made van. I have a 120w solar too and 2 x 95ah AGM batteries and I'm doing OK, so you should be fine. How are you finding it after having such a large motorhome with Bentley the 1st now you've had even longer to get used to it?
Morning Helen 😁. Getting the hang of it I think. I just need to move a bit slower when inside! Lots of compromises but overall so far my vanlife has improved.👍🏻😉😁
Haha yes, always wearing the shirt. 😁. I did forget the garage, but included it on the next one, or was it the one after that 🤔. Yes, it was a tidy sum 😂. Thanks for stopping by. ⚒️ COYI
Hi there thanks for dropping by. I am 6 ft 2 ins, so that was quite important. The longitudinal bed rather than transverse bed was necessary. There were 3 or 4 other considerations such as 4 seat belts, auto box and a narrower van. Thanks. Martin
Oh dear ! If the person who buys your previous van realises they could have bought it 6k less from you then i guess they won't be happy. Did the dealer not do a handover to show you how everything works. its part of the p.d.i/handover fee thats built into the purchase cost. Did you buy local as if not it'll beboth inconvenient and time consuming to het warranty issues sorted. Good luck and have many enjoyable journeys
Thanks for commenting. Yes, in a perfect world all those things would be true. I received £9k more than another person offered me. I chose the nearest dealer. No one else offered the price I git. There was a handover but as a previous motorhomer, I said skip the basics. Thanks for dropping by.
