Going November 2023 from Rome to Abu Dabi first Msc Cruise and going on Virtuso. We're going with open mind as you suggested. Travelled on many different cruise lines. Great videos wish us luck ☘️
We cruised the frist time with MSC at Christmas and New Years Eve and really liked the Virtuosa. (14 Nights until the 1st January). Watched your videos before and found it very helpful.
We love your videos!! We're off on Virtuosa on Monday, and they have been so helpful with figuring out what we want to do and what we can expect. You guys are fab! You have inspired my two boys to make their own channel!!
Going on the virtuosa on 3rd June for two weeks to iceland/norway and found your videos sooo helpful, we now can't wait to get onboard, so thank you for all the helpful advice and look forward to your new adventures 👍
Hi we went on this ship last year and have booked the 14 night this year in July, love this ship. We have just come off the MSC seascape and do prefer the virtuosa over seaside class. Great vlogs 😊 thank you….
Fantastic vlog once more - thanks so much. Will be good to see your fun pass video. I mentioned before about the Children's specialty dining, and said I would let you know if I find anything out. Well, I have booked specialty dining packages for us two and my son and his partner via the app - but, MSC said that you have to sort the vhildrens dining out once on board, you cannot do it beforehand. And actually, when you go to pre-book the specialty dining, if a child is on the sailing with you, you cant select them to add to the package, just the adults are able to be selected ( hope that makes sense ) ...Terry Cant wait for 10th March, when we are back on Virtuosa
Thank you so much for letting us know how you went on. We will be doing a video tomorrow about msc speciality dining, and thanks to you we can now add this tip to the video
It was the 1st time we cruised with MSC at Christmas, from start to finish we received excellent service Food from breakfast to the midnight buffet could not fault it, we went for the premier drinks package excellent value so much better then the other big name cruise companies and paid a lot less for a lot more As you said you get what you pay for and that is great price and excellent value where ever you go you will get your professional moaning who just like to moan no matter what many thanks for your great vlogs look forward to the next We brought a cocktail from Rob the robot and got charge 15% surcharge hope it went to him we are not moaning about it honest
So glad you enjoyed your cruise and haha Professional moaner 😁 love it. Totally agree about Rob the Robot it is quite pricey , we had a non alcoholic cocktail so Paid even less than you but we thought it was expensive. Believe me that souvenir cup takes pride of place on the shelf now lol. It was a nice thing to do at least once though 😁
Hi guys we booked the msc on 17th June from Southampton for our first cruise me my wife and 9 month old baby really can't wait. Love your videos helped us choose this cruise
Hi Guys, Thanks for an informative video.....just subscribed!! We go on the Virtuosa on 23rd Feb, so would really appreciate the video on the Fun Pass xx
Hi guys im going on virtuosa 17th june this year with my mum and dad and our friends john and kathryn france and spain from southampton i made loads of friends last year so im excited to see the same staff again they made me feel very welcome 😃💖
So much value for the money, Kev and Stacy! At one time in one of your videos you talked about hearing how some folks literally live on cruise boats. I can see how that could work out, money wise. (Don't think we'd care to though, but it could be fun for a while.) Also couldn't live without the internet. I also don't care for holds on the debit or credit cards. Great review and tips for those who are going. (So many comments below) Loved your cruise and are looking forward to your new adventures this year!
I also don't care for holds on the debit or credit cards. Just doesn't seem fair! Years ago when our boys we're young Disney did that. We stayed at the Contemporary Hotel and they took my card into a backroom and came out smiling with A Disney Card that had a huge (ridiculous) limit on it. I found out later that they put a hold on my card for the same amount. I had already prepaid for the time at Disney and it included all food at any park, the room, park admissions, and entertainment. Never used the one they gave me, but back then the hold remained for over a week after we left as we continued our Florida trip. Things didn't move fast back then. We had the cash and other plastic so we were still okay, but I was mad! 😁😁
Thanks so much Dave and Kathy hope your both ok. And yes think we could live on a cruise ship for a few months lol, we're really looking forward to going to Vancouver and then being back in the States 😀
Thank you for yet another lovely and informative video 🫶🏼. I'm going with my husband and our two grown up sons on MSC Grandiosa (sister ship to Virtuosa) on 3rd February around the Mediterranean, leaving from Barcelona. We actually have a basic drinks package included in our fare, which is great. I'm looking forward to watching your video about the Fun Pass, because one of my sons is crazy about F1, so he's planning to spend a lot of time using the simulator. Can't wait to experience this ship. Looking forward to more of your cruise videos ☺️
Thanks so much Mimi. Not long till your cruise now. Really hope you have a good time. And that's it now you won't see your sons between the F1 simulator and the basketball court etc lol. There's so much to do. We will have the video out soon so hope it helps explain everything for you 😁
Hi just to say I really enjoy your videos, also recommend it to my sister . Any chance of either doing a video on the best way to get cheap deals, the sites that you use?
Thanks Brett, and we tend to book through a company called Cruise Nation as we find they have always had the best deals. We have said before too that we tend to have an In side cabin and no drinks package which for us has then made it into the price we mention in the videos. The cruises we have done have been fairly last minute and we tend to book within 3 months before 👍
Great video. It's great you take the time to help others by posting videos like this. We're going on this ship in September on the Norwegian fjords, so we have found your information very helpful. What was the dress code in the evenings, especially?
Thanks Karl, appreciate it. On gala evenings they said men had to wear a collared shirt and trousers. Some people wore suits and some people wore a polo top and trousers. If you want to eat In the buffet you didn't have to wear any of that stuff it was more casual. On normal nights they just said men had to wear trousers in the mdr and no swimwear etc. Just the same as a hotel in Spain or something really. To be honest though they didn't seem to strict on it so just do what you're most comfortable with. Either go all out in a suit or just stick some trousers and a polo top on 😁
Hi yes we basically just risk it. The worst that could happen Is we have to chuck a few cans of pop In the bin. Perhaps they would be more stricter if it was alcohol 😁. We only ever drink them in the cabin as well. Never around the ship 😁
I have a question. How do they do the sound on the outside screens if you’re watching a movie? Do they just use the regular speakers? Still love your vlogs.
Thanks so much Leslie, they have giant speakers outside that they use. It's actually a really nice experience to watch a movie under the night time sky 😍
Can I ask how you got cans of soft drinks aboard. I've been on board Virtuosa twice, but MSC make it very clear that no liquid, including alcohol or soft drinks are allowed on board. Love the reviews btw.
Hi Lisa thanks so much 😁 and we just risk it as the worst that could Happen is they take them off us. We only ever do it with soft drinks and only drink them in the cabin not around the ship. They would probably be more stricter if it was 3 bottles of vodka lol
When did you go in June last year? I am going on the 3rd June this year to Iceland and Norway and Since booking I’ve seen loads of negative reviews saying how bad the food in the main restaurant was and how busy it was x
Hi we went the end of June but the ship was under half capacity all week so we never had to experience any of that. That's the thing with these ships as each experience depends on how many other guests are on and it's really hard to judge it. Iceland and Norway sounds amazing though. Hope you have ana amazing time 😁
Just a quick ask can you buy alccohol from the shop for your cabin ,like if you wanted a nightcap or just wanted to sit on balconey with a drink love your shows thanks RICHARD
Hi Richard, we haven't actually purchased any from the shops but I'm pretty sure with alcohol that they take if off you and deliver it to you at the end of your cruise. Not 100% sure though tbh
Hi, its different in each country. We pay between 13 - 19ish in different currencies. If the most we have seen but didn't buy, it was over $25 for a Disney World One.
I have just been looking at a 4 night celebrity cruise instead of the 3 night virtuosa cruise because of the £250 on your card my group won't spend anything like that. Also I need to be able to plck my own room. It looks awesome but maybe not the cruise for me.
I was on first cruise allowed in UK after covid on Virtuosa. Only 1000 on board but with all the spacing between seats in bars and restaurants it was very difficult to get a seat together.
Yes bet it was annoying when they had to space everyone out due to covid. Even though less passengers bet it didn't end up making any difference. Guess they just had to follow the covid protocol at the time though
Hi guys.Hope you are good still?so we are going on Virtuosa in July for 14 nights. Genuinely what dress code will kids be able to get away with in the main dining rooms for evening meals?will they be allowed to wear shorts and polo shirts? Just mindful, July /Aug in Med is bloody hot.
Hi Jason and yes thanks are you ? And to be honest we're really not sure. Even though msc is more casual and the polo top would be fine we're not too sure about the shorts especially with kids. I mean I can't see why not as long as they weren't swimming shorts etc as like you said it will be very hot but don't take our word for it. Maybe try it but have a back up pair of trousers just in case. Could always get changed into shorts after dinner if need be 😁
@@OneCouplesAdventure lol obviously they would be smart shorts as we like them to look smart in the evenings. Just wondered if you had noticed from your warmer trips last year. Safe and happy travels. I’ll dig deeper and pack them some trousers just in case haha
Yeah best to cover both options just in case. And you'd be surprised lol I know it's more casual but we saw a group of men wearing tracksuits on the gala evening on there!
We’ve just booked on the Virtuosa to the same ports but the tickets say no food or drink can be brought on board. How did you take your own snacks and soft drinks?
I’ve been binge watching your videos trying to decide between a cruise on the virtuoso and the Iona in February - obviously you two had each other but do you think either is better for a solo traveller? Ps. I love mither, never heard it before but will be adding that one to my vocabulary!!
Hi Sam, thanks so much lol 😆 and both ships are lovely and they both had solo traveler meet ups etc. But for us personally and we both agree that if we were to travel solo we would enjoy the Virtuosa more. We found our fellow passengers and the crew a lot friendlier
Hahaha its just a normal word to us lol . Have you not heard it before. Saying that we come from a place where calling each 'duck' is a term of endearment 🤣
Yes I talk the same language guys that’s what I love about you two ❤️ I’m from not so sunny Scarborough. Also have family from Manchester area so almost your area ❤️😍 it wasn’t a complaint guys don’t change a single thing.
There is a band playing in the adults only lounge called the sky lounge, they may change this up with different acts. There was a pianist and a guy playing the cello when we were on
Hi and we've done 3 mc cruises now and never had them taken off us. Although we only ever do if with soft drinks and not alcohol. It might be a different story then lol

Thanks so much Tracey. Think I've been every colour going at some point lol , definitely feel more like myself when it's red though 😁

The Virtuosa is a great ship. We enjoyed the seaview for the views the ship offers and the ziplining
Im going on feb 10th and im super exited! Watched all ur videos on details on this cruise🎉
Hope you have a brilliant time
You got a great price. We compared it to others but it was either more or the same price. You can tell you had a great time.

Hi not sure will have to check your daily activities programme when on board 😁
How did you book your shows before you go? The app isn’t letting me see available shows and we set sail in a months time.
Thank you for your videos!
Which shows? The ones you pay for should be available now. If its the "free" nightly shows you book them once onboard
@@OneCouplesAdventure the paid for ones we wanted to do the circus style one. Hopefully it comes up soon! Thanks for replying 🚢

I saw your case of lemonades and wonder if the Virtuosa's mini mall also sells cans of coke
Hi do you mean the shop onboard the ship? We don't think they do no, never saw any

I read somewhere that MSC has the most expensive drinks of all cruises?!?! £8+ for a beer!?!!?!?!
We only brought soft drinks and they were about €3 a can which seems average on Most cruise ships we have been on
