MSC Virtuosa - Butcher's Cut Steakhouse Review - Is It The BEST Paid For Restaurant On The Ship?

- So we're back with another speciality restaurant review on board the MSC Virtuosa. This time we are trying Butcher's Cut, which is described as an American steakhouse.
We did this restaurant on the MSC Seaview back in September and really enjoyed it, so will this one be as good? Once again we explain how to get the best deal for this, how we booked it and what dining package we went for.
Like with all speciality restaurants available on most cruise lines they are indeed optional. We have paid such a bargain price for all our MSC Cruises that we think it's worth the extra charge to treat yourself, especially if you are a steak lover this place you will love.

The Fillet Mignon, served on MSC Seaviews Butchers Cut, was exquisite! Had it again in the speciality seafood restaurant the next day!

Just returned from the same cruise you carried out to northern Europe
We carried out your great advice and booked our prepaid specialty restaurants as soon as we boarded the ship.
I am a pescatarian so love my fish but don't like meat watched your vlog never tried bone marrow, so tried it, did finish it but will stick to my fish.
( if you don't try thing you have never had you will not know if you like it or not that's why i tried the bone marrow)
Also tried the Hola as you said only 1 fish dish and very little vegetarian opinions on the menu my wife went through the the meat dishes and they made special vegetarian dishes for me which were not on the menu, so veggies can stuff them self here.
Must say the ice cream taco's bloody marvellous , came out stuffed.
We would like to say we had an excellent cruise and a lot of that was down to you both for all the excellent advice and information you gave in your vlogs.

A great in-depth review. Will be sailing next month and it was great seeing what their idea of medium is, as I like mine more on the rare side and hate it when it’s overcooked. For the first time, going to upgrade to one of the á la carte steaks (24oz T-Bone), half price with my free diamond member meal. Your NY Sirloin had a perfect cook, the fillet was a bit over, not quite mid-well but was still overcooked by a couple mins for sure.
Another great video, lol no warning for the bone marrow, salad was wow size impressive xx

Looks like a pretty good dining deal Kev and Stacey. Saw the menu prices and comparing to ordering a la carte you came out way ahead. A show too! The food looked delicious and portions that are too big like the salad is never a problem. Some may order the salad ala carte. But like Stacey on a potato we'd like the cheese grated. Still would have loved it! Looked like a wonderful meal and we would have gone back happy but unable to do anything else afterward! Loved the review.

We’re going on the World Europa in a couple of weeks for the repositioning cruise so figured we might need the speciality restaurant package! Thoroughly enjoyed both of your Butchers Cut reviews and am going to try really hard not to eat the bread so that I have room for dessert!

OMG mouth watering those steaks!! We are booked on the new ship next Spring with the Euribia. On deck plans I've seen there is a Butchers Cut Restaurant but yet it is not offered in any of the specialty dining experiences. They offer a combination of these options: L'Atelier Grill, Kaito Sushi & Robata, Kaito Teppanyaki and Hola! Tacos & Cantina. I can't really find much at all about L'Atelier Grill. Strange the Cut is not included in any of the options. Unless the deck plan site is incorrect. Either way, looks amazing and appreciate the vid:)

We got engaged at Butchers Cut on Seaview!!
We did the Chefs table. (he'd planned to do it in Capri, but the spot he pre picked wasnt as good in real life!) Definitely will look into this option for our cruise in June 23.

Hi, great video, thanks. Never used a speciality restaurant before but might be tempted. Booked for virtuoso next summer and have an embarkation time of 3.00pm. Do you think they will let us on if we turn up early?
The 1st time we went on the Virtuosa in june, we had the same time. We did try to get on a couple of hours early, and we did but the ship wasn't busy. So it's a do it at your own risk. I wouldn't try to get on at 11am lol
hi guys, myself, my wife, & 16yo daughter will be sailing in may. it's a ship i've wanted to try for a while. only a 5 day trip for us during school half term. what was capacity like? in your videos you don't seem to have much trouble, but we don't always see you walking around during the day. are the pool / bar areas crowded during the day? gonna try & book the duo package when it comes available. cheers
It all depends on when you go. On this one the outside areas were quiet because it was freezing. Have you watched out 1st lot of virtuosa vlogs? We did a lot more things in the day then so we relaxed more in the day on this cruise as we needed some down time in the hot tubs 😆
We tried it a few weeks ago and as with all the other 3 speciality dining restaurants we tried it was very poor 👎

Hi guys, which microphones are you using now? I've seen in the reflections that you have a shotgun-style one stuck to the shoe of your camera. Do you use that most of the time or just the built-in one on the camera? Sorry, just curious as I'm looking to get something to use with my iPhone.
We use the sennheiser mke 200, we use this all the time now. Its a front facing shotgun but its just as good at the rear thats why we choose this one.
Hes the amazon link they do a mobile pack for a bit more, we just got the mic on its own but either comes with a cable for using with cameras and one for using with mobiles.

Keep up the great videos, I can't go on holiday anywhere nearly as often as you guys so these keep me going in between!

Do you mean the speciality packages? Not sure how far in advance. Download the MSC for me app and log in with your booking and it will show you on there
Hi, I rang MSC today and asked same question. My cruise is July and they said option to pre book restaurants will be there in 2-3 weeks from now.
Another great food review. I would only pass on the bone marrow.
