    What i love about this is that this is literally such a cheap DIY project, give tips like using painters tape without the need for clamps, no planers, joiners, just straight up skill and patience. Respect

      Thank you soo much, appreciate that,
      That was the main purpose, people stops because of not having fancy tools..
      That's why I showed, even with simple tools you can make anything if you want to!! (Of course not saying about engineering works) lol

      "Here is an easy DIY:
      -Step 1: turn on your industrial sized router table next to your wire saw and your 20inch $4,000 planer."
      You know the guy is out of your league if they don't have a single speck of saw dust in their video.

    Now this is actually DIY with tools that most of us would have, and not $5k worth of tools TY for the tutorial and the list of materials at the end

      You can make a trip to harbor freight and get a jig saw and drill for a total of $40. I built a Sim rig for Sim racing and drifting and with having no wood skills it came out amazing. Diy doesn't have to be a hand saw and screwdriver.

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      i know DIY is not meant to be done only with hand saw or screw drivers...
      it was done for the people who thinks power tools are compulsory do build any diy project. i have my basic power tools .. but i tried to show even you have these hand tools.. you can build this too!! without any hesitation or must buy some power tools.. no offense brother, purpose is different of this video. :)
      and i love to see your SIM racing setup.. even i am gona make it too.. its in the pipeline :)

      I also made a table for myself a year ago, the wood was cut in a store to the size I needed, and the only tools I had to buy were wood drills. I borrowed a drill and an electric jigsaw from friends. The hardest thing for me was putting it all together in a small apartment. Spent $30-40 on all materials

    Im using my sons cellphone to leave a comment since my new one hasnt arived yet. Im a hobbiest woodworker, and have say, that while I definately do not have 'all' the power tools I would wish to have, I should say it was refreshing to see someone go through the 'necessary steps' without even sanding anything, apart from breaking off loose fibers with the saw blade?!! What you accomplished with just the 'absolute minimum of tools'(I definatly would'a-been switching back and forth between the drill-bit, and a freaking screw-driver-bit.!! It was killing my carpoltunel just watching you put those screws in by hand.! Im a 58yr old diesel mechanic.), good deal of sweat, and maybe a few tears is quite admerable.

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Your comment is an honour for me.. and now I think I have accomplished, what I was trying hard for.. everything was done on purpose, specially for the people who think power tools are a must for building such simple things... I myself is an old school guy too. Had to show what you have seen here. I m utterly happy to see your comment, this justified my hard work...& This video... thank you again for you honest comment & I'm glad you liked it. As a fellow hobbiest woodworker, I use to work on cars too. But now this is my only hobby left. I m glad to find a like minded fellow like you, have a look on my other projects too, All made by the same process..
      & Sorry about hurting your carpal tunnel lol. 😂 I had a good forehand exercise in the process... Thanks again sir & stay tuned for more..

    Hey man, great project. Super cool to see a very practical/affordable DIY on TH-cam for once. I have just one constructive piece of advice.
    Don't loop the one piece of "hard rock" royalty free music throughout the entire video. There's a lot of royalty free music out there, but even better than that TH-cam won't demonetize or strike most video game music. Sometimes it's even okay to just let the video breathe and not have ANY MUSIC after you've let the song play through once or twice. Looping the same song, especially a simple one, is effing obnoxious.

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you Ashley.. for the comment...
      And apologies for the looping music on the whole video...
      This video was made and uploaded in a hurry. So lots of time was consumed in the making of this table and capturing this video and editing... So uploading it as earliest made me use this music as my first one to get online as soon as possible. In other videos I tried something different and hopefully will do the voiceover in future too.. :) thanks again and apologies too 🙏🏻

    The table turned out quite good, it looks good. A year ago I made myself an ordinary rectangular table to replace the awkward corner one, and spent 30-40 dollars on it. As a tabletop I used a wall from an old cabinet, which I got for free, and assembled a frame from 50x50mm wood. My table came out good in my opinion, but I still didn’t think through some aspects or they appeared after assembly and some of them cannot be changed without additional investments

    • @Drake239Dragon
      @Drake239Dragon 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I also have an idea to make a new table, which will be corner, but more comfortable, I’m thinking of using metal as the frame material, but this is in case one of my friends has a welding machine, and also buy a cheap kitchen countertop as a table surface

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks man.!! i appreciate that...
      well obviously you have to add a tiny amount of investment into it, if you are using some used or saved materials.. even thought after 30- 40 dollars, i bet i must be better than prebuilds ones, coz its custom made according to your need and space.. i endorse everyone to better build it then buying costly ones, it's just a basic table, no rocket science in these stuff lol. ones again glad a have a fellow DIY guy here. i hope i iwll be able to help in future.. :)
      REMEMBER: Embrace the imperfections.!! :) thank you

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Metal frames are good and sturdy, but it will surely cost you a lot then wood ones. but if you know how to weld clean, and cost is no issue. then GO for it.!!

    For those who don't have tools, it's just because you choose not to have them. You could if you wanted to. I'm not a full time carpenter, but I invest in my tools to make projects I want/need. I'm not a mechanic either, but I invest in tools I want/need to not have to pay labor costs and be able to keep my car in working condition at minimal costs. It'sa choice. Man up to said choices.

      thanks man!! its 96'' inches by 30'' inches table top, with 6 feet by 2 feet long base, and 31'' inch height with 2 inch wheels. yess it's deep enough to have a perfect view of monitor and have enough space to have all the peripherals.. check the 2nd video where i made a desk shelf and still have plenty of space. :)

      Gotta be careful with that though. You could end up like me and start dealing with Carpal Tunnel. Screwing stuff in like that by hand just isn’t worth it. I do give you props for predrilling though it’s usually not necessary for soft woods like white pine.

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes it is not necessary.. but it keeps the pine safe of cracking at the end and it keeps it aligned too.
      and these screwing stuff by hand is for those who don't have power tools available..not every body / newbie have to buy power tools just to start building these stuff. :) motivation is necessary

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Good question..! i used 2x1s instead of 2x2s because of 2 reasons..
      1st is, it will be lightweight and structure will be sleeker,
      and 2nd less usage of wood will make it cost effective.
      2x1 makes it like a lego to assemble easily. we can surely build it with 2x2s too
      i hope i was able to make you understand the purpose behind. :) cheers man thanks for watching.. stay tuned for more !

    Would you trust the Laminated MDF board with a triple monitor mount on it? Looking at building a desk, but struggling to decide on a good top for a triple mount. It is one that clamps on the edge.

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you are planning to use a single clamp mount to hold 3 monitors ... Then you have to add a piece of MDF where you are going to tighten the clamps or a hard wood piece, size can vary according to the clamp size. So it will double the size and strength to hold that clamp,
      But if you are going to mount a single clamp for every single monitor separately, then this MDF can hold it easily, it's not a chipboard, but i would recommend adding an additional piece to make it stronger and stiffer. I will add too if I use heavier mounts to more than 1 unit.
