It was worth your time. I'm an old man. We built our RC cars. RTR was for kids. I still think I enjoy building them a little more than running them. Thank you!
Gees I have no business or budget to get into rc cars but your love of life and "christmas everyday" attitude makes me want to take part in the fun and joy of it. Thanks for not taking life too seriously and promoting undiluted fun!
You're not an idiot Kev, you're a master RC mechanic honestly. I have seen you do the most creative things when it comes to working on them or solving a problem. I am an early sub to you and I have learned pretty much everything from your videos, so much so that my friend has me do any work or fixes that he needs on his rigs.
Your assembly and then racing videos are very inspiring! Like many other viewers you got me back into rc, you make wrenching so much fun. Love your vids kev, peace love and respect.
Theyve come a long way from the old RC10 days, but it looks like their quality is still top-notch. I just got done repairing a Revo, Rustler, Amp MT, TC6.1 and now have to repair a few Armas (and the Revo, again)...I REALLY need to get a good set of hand tools, regular L-type allen wrenches are brutal on the fingers after a few hours.
Oh yah, gotta love it. I drive a b74d, and naturally I love mine. Associated is unbelievable at design, their cars and trucks outperform LITERALLY EVERY other company's designs... which makes sense since they win just about every race everywhere. A joy to build too... and so tunable with the little block kit they use to adjust the shock and wheel angle. Dont mind me, im just too much a fanboy of them. If you prefer 4wd grab the b74c or d (depending on if you want to race carpet or dirt). Shes worth every dollar.
@@NewTrip_NewAdventure that’s unfortunate! One of the biggest permanent indoor 1:10th scale touring car venues had to close here in the UK a few years back, that was sad
Kev, I started with only bashers and watched all of your videos. I’ve only recently got into carpet racing. Keep carpet racing videos with your B6.3 coming!
Oh my goodness is it just me, or did anyone else experience a really satisfying feeling from the sounds of those plastic suspension rod/arm ball joints "clunking" into place/onto steel ball joints!? LOL. Really satisfying sounds!! LOL. Thanks for ace vid Kev! Wes, Liverpool UK.
Biggest thing i notice at your RC club is they seem very relaxed and welcoming. I raced 1:10 TC back in the 2000s and found the worst part of racing was the people. Loved the sport but too many take it way too seriously and it takes the shine off it.
Great video you can actually drive really good on a track very impressed and you’re inspiring me to get a A race car that I have to build and you inspired me to start a TH-cam channel
Team Associated is a good brand kev, that’s what I race off road. Suggestion for more steering you might want to change your toe, or give it more toe out in your case. Great racing though!
A few years back, when I worked in a hobby shop, my experience was to have a set of wrenches for 1/10th or similar scale, then another for larger scale. We worked on HPI Bajas a lot. Where tools failed or lost their purchase/bite, was when they did double duty. Torquing up screws and bolts, on 1/5th scale models was different to smaller scale RCs. Especially when thread locking compound is added into the mix.
Kevin with as many cars as you build you need to invest in a Hudy vacuum chamber. Pulls all the air out of your oils. Examples are your shocks, diffs etc. In my opinion it saves time and is WAY more effective then the finger tap and set aside. Just my two cents worth.
Love your videos they always make me happy I got a slash 4x4 for Christmas after watching all your videos about it I bought a vxl system and 3s lipo and it is amazing still puts a smile on my face 1 and a half years later
I heartily congratulate you on your victories. I think you put yourself under too much pressure in the 3rd qualification. Relax more and do everything the same as in the first rounds, in terms of the inner feeling and so on... Was realy an incredible Video. I really like watching you. Greetings again from switzerland.👍👍👍👍👍💪😁☺✌✌🇨🇭
Not gonna lie, woke up from a crummy nap, grumpy old- fart attitude, but opened up TH-cam and saw the new video! Now I've got a smile from ear to ear ! Thanks Kev for the upload! Another great video! 👍
Geez Kev. With all the tools you have, you don't have shock pliers? Shame on you 🤣 Awesome build man. I love the flow of the vid. Your editing skills are so much better than mine.
"Idiot builds and tries ..." Then proceeds to drop like ten pro tips while building, Kevin you play the fool, but your actually a genius, we know.... LOL. Love it.
This is the way EVERY hobby grade rc car and truck came new. I honestly miss and PREFER the "old days" of having to build it yourself. For one, you know who put it together (yourself), so you learn from it and know exactly what's going on inside. Also, I've had so many modern RTRs that are just so "sloppily" thrown together, it drives me nuts! ..go to replace something or do maintenance on it, just to find out the minumum-wage worker who couldn't care less about the thing at the factory stripped out half the screws/put something together wrong or half-assed, and it just ends up a headache, more often than not... I wish most manufacturers would give the choice if you want to build the thing yourself, not only because of what I've already mentioned, but to me, it's a lot of fun building in the first place (and painting/applying decals, so they look better than if a 5 year old put them on...)!
That’s about par for course: do great in qualifying and then run the main like you've never been on track before, or vice versa! Lol, great video, really fun to watch you get back into racing!!!!
It was worth your time. I'm an old man. We built our RC cars. RTR was for kids. I still think I enjoy building them a little more than running them. Thank you!
Pre-assembled cars are soulless clones, no different to each other. Building them infuses them with character! 😎
Gees I have no business or budget to get into rc cars but your love of life and "christmas everyday" attitude makes me want to take part in the fun and joy of it.
Thanks for not taking life too seriously and promoting undiluted fun!
Finally Team Associated on channel!!!

if it really was him who did itwith lots of time beside the camera, at home, then yeah, he did a great job. I do not trust TV too much
Your Boo-Boo band-aids crack me up. 😂
Your assembly and then racing videos are very inspiring! Like many other viewers you got me back into rc, you make wrenching so much fun. Love your vids kev, peace love and respect.
I was building Asso B6.4 week ago and it was a pure joy. I kinda relived step by step when I was watching this video . Great work

Always enjoy the energy and positivity you bring to your videos. Haven't touched my Xmaxx in a year but never miss a video.

I haven't been racing for a good few years, hearing that automated voice announcing the race brought back great memories :D

I really enjoyed this dude, a change of pace haha but you seemed to be having fun! It makes me want to get back into racing haha 😄
Racings fun when theres not any of the nasty people that shout at everyone
@@KevinTalbotTV I totally agree dude! It's good to find a nice chill club and have fun
I've been to a couple of race meetings at Wilfred Taylor Reserve, just as a spectator, and it's hard to keep an eye on the cars at ground level.
Kev, I started with only bashers and watched all of your videos. I’ve only recently got into carpet racing. Keep carpet racing videos with your B6.3 coming!
Racing is fun , great
build also.
Could try you're front shocks more outside or the back once inside for more steering .
Came last with big smile on your face....looks like a winner to me
Nice racing Kevin! The pressure was too much for the last race lol. Fun is the key word though
Na his friend new where the harder place to stand is and he put him there 😆 🤣
Hi
Good laugh racing with you Kev, keep up the vids!
I love the building parts and bashing.
It's cool that you make like you want with the RC's
By far my favorite channel on YT!💪🏻💪🏻
haha thanks broo!! still a bit behind mr breast
I can’t find the link down below for the tools you use Kevin. Can you help me out brother??
Go Kev Go! Nice rig and lovely racing from you! 😍

Awesome!! Thanks kev for the great new awesome video!😄
I personally use the MIP screwdrivers, they haven’t gotten worn out for me, but to each their own. Love the videos kev
Yep MIP are the gun!!
That beautiful amber glow..
My MIP drivers are 30+ yrs old and still going. Still better than the china ones.

I've always loved Team Associated stuff from a TC3 and RC10 GT I had years ago!
Thanks for this vid. It shows that also driving a 'pro' car and doing 'serious' racing can put a big smile on your face!
And that's what matters.
Great video you can actually drive really good on a track very impressed and you’re inspiring me to get a A race car that I have to build and you inspired me to start a TH-cam channel

Damn, Vinny keeps a list of people in heat!?! 😂🤣
Another good video kev. Just what we needed. Need to get the bashers to come racing to keep the sport alive!
The amount of work and effort that goes into these videos! 💯

Hey Kev, this time the assembling is very detailed and the Asso for sure deserve it! Thank you
Epic dude! Fricking apple man… 😂

ALL first in fun! I had fun watching. When's the next race?
To avoid the tires to come loose from the wheels, I always do sandpaper the rim and the tire, then glue them forever. 👍👍👍
Kev is a professional guys as u can tell from his latest builds 🤣
🤣🤣
Now that you are racing, your bashing game will be even better. I certainly did that for me. Great video
cool to see you giving racing a shot, nice change up. Try tuning options and differences they make, that would be a cool video.
Your editing is phenomenal. Always enjoy the builds..
I've been looking forward to this video, amazing video keep up the good work 👍
Fantastic video KEVIN 👌, man I'm so sick of the KEV haters Bro!!! You keep up the amazing example you set BRO 😎🙂😜❤️❤️🔥🔥❤️❤️👏👏👌👌
Hi from Seattle, WA! Old guy, new to RC. Thanks for the tool tips and such, man!
I only trust your car reviews kev, if I question any rc car I just find it on your channel and see I it’s good. I love the honest reviews
He's the only one that truly pushes them to the limit. If it can survive him with minimal damage than it's a good RC.
Good stuff kev! Love the build and the races. Cheers 🍺👍
Rc10's have always been the best. Some more track time and you'll be dusting those other guys

And you listened!!!!
Really good build. In the 3rd race for you group, you sure did fly over the track, marking really good times.

Amen 🙏 to the cheap tools. Sometimes they last longer, also cost less to replace when you lose them or let someone borrow them and they lose them.
Haha I always love watching you try to drive 2wd buggies and trucks… I grew up with 2wd lol and I love it😂
Top notch content. Bashing got me into the hobby but racing made me stay. Super entertaining editing also 👍
