Man, your video editing skills are awesome. I love the cuts and booms and instant installs on some of the parts and sound effects when you snap parts into place etc. Very cool Kev.
I like the proper race videos. The ARC Raceway stuff is fun, but its so casual there is no real tension\competition. Hope to see more racing. Would really love to see some proper monster or truggy dirt track racing.
since the truggys where born, no one races monstertrucks anymore, because truggys are the op version of monstertrucks with the handling of a buggy, so monstertruck racing isnt a class anymore... ( racism!)
Great to see you promoting the fun side of competitive racing. Also, you’re pretty darn handy at racing. Good lines and throttle control. All those years of wielding a tx definitely helping!
You've done it now... Because of this vid I ordered a proper race car, I've never owned a brand new one before so I'm super excited to get it, assemble it and look like a jackass learning how to race it properly. Thanks Kev for giving me the inspiration!!
I got so focused when the car was on track that I thought Spencer Rivkin was driving!! He's a professional driver for Team associated with multiple world championships!! You make it look easy, lol
Honestly u just get out there and have fun!! I didn’t dirt oval racing but this year the track was closed down… and I’m not gonna drive 2hrs each way to go race.. nah.. so they have become the 2wd shelf queens..
Really appreciate the English humility. Too many Americans emulate Ali, but who are not selling tickets to a boxing match ... just presenting with hubris or insecurity. Often hard to know which of the two.
I'm just getting into racing so this series is perfect. My racing is all outdoors on a dirt track and it's so much fun. Awesome vid Kev. Well done on the win 🏆 👏
Me too. Just got into and even though I suck, Have so much fun and loving it and gets more fun and harder as Ya improve and get faster. Soo good. Look forward to racing day so much, so happy after but so bummed when cancelled or have car issues.
Nice one Kevin, congratulations!! Really enjoyed seeing the building process on this one. I've just gotten into this hobby and dont think I'd have the confidence yet to build an entire car from scratch. I'd love it if you could do a full breakdown of what goes where and how everything works at some point but dont let that get in the way of all the cool content your already producing.
Building a kit gives you confidence to tear it down again to fix something. Imo the diffs are the most complicated part. But they (usually) are hard to break. The easy things usually break well before the complicated stuff. Pre-assembled (rtr) kits are easier for beginners but if you don't know how it works they are hard to fix.
My goodness Kev that KO Propo Steering Servo is the fastest / best servo I ever seen!!!??? THE SPEEEEEED!!!!??? IT'S INSANE!!!!???? I remember the servos in my Tamiya 1/10 rc cars / buggies wayyy back in the early 90's and they were HILAROUSELY SLOW compared to that KO Propo one mate!!?? They should rename the KO Propo Servo to "KING OF PROPER SERVOS" LOL. Also, that 4wd race car kit / setup performed amazingly well and on the corners it was amazingly fast and precise, like a Swiss Watch of the RC Cars world!!?? Just incredible Kev!!! Thanks!! Wes, Liverpool UK.
time flies when u watch this guy. 1st u remember when a traxxas xmaxx video was just uploaded and then what seems like a few weeks, months have already passed since that video.
Just wanted to say thanks Kevin. I get pretty beatup in life. No enjoyment at all. I have like I have two baja's, and the 5ive and 5ive B never even finished putting together since 2017. I miss it. No motivation. It brought back fond memories watching you enjoy racing.
You hate him?... C'mon guys, he is actually good on racing and not just destroying cars. Keep it up Kevs I loved the video and take care always. Looking forward for another one.
It's critical that you get those diffs packed full with oil, the car will handle much better! You're rich, dont skimp on the oils, haha. fill the diff till the oil is crowning slightly and give the front & rear diffs about 5-10 mins to let the air bubbles escape. Take a hex wrench or your finger and scrape the crowned/excess oil away so it's not overfilled. Put the ring gear on with the sun gear installed in the pumpkin. The Center diff is the same but youll want to give way more time for the air to escape the 500k oil.
Nice job man! I want too get into racing like that. I am messing with a wl toys buggy right now. Learning how the buggys run. BTW I love the editing your bro is doing. Great job too you both.
Since you're that good at off road, you should try some onroad TC racing with a car like a schumacher mi8. Would be awesome to see you giving touring car a try!
Too many channels spend 50% talking about the specs. Not many people care about the kv rate of the motor, the chassis material, or their of the servo unless they want to buy one.
Props to your dentist Kevin, strait as mate, I wish I could afford that look, awesome build as well love watching you build then send them of jumps, sick.
Assembly required. Experience in plastic molding, machining, welding, lasers,Xray, etc. I was waiting for Kevin to say "with this kit,you need to machine the motor parts from the bits of billet metal included with the kit.LOL The advantage of these kits is you can repair and upgrade them.It looks to be a very high quality kit..
build cars from scratch is so much fun when I was younger you never got rtr and you had to build them I remember doing this with my tamiya 959 which I now sorely miss
Cant go wrong with associated 👍👍👍 been racing their models since the days of the original RC-10 👍 got a first release gold pan in a box.....some place..... In some corner...... God i hope its still around 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just finished building the r1rock buggy kit and it is one of the best rock crawlers I’ve had i think it might even be better then the trx4. I’d love if you did a Review and build on it. Can’t wait to see the monster truck!!!
Nice racing track have you built a losi kit yet they good losi 8xt is great can choose nitro or electric another one you should get is the traxxas nitro rustler i wanna hear your thoughts on that one they been making it for ages that electric buggy is really sippy and looks nice
Kev! Turning 40 this year and looking back at the old tamiya / MarDave etc I had when I was a kid - is any of this ‘vintage’ stuff worth buying pre owned on eBay etc? Or is it all so old it’s obsolete now? - low prices make it super tempting Cheers!
Coming up in the era of Mardave nitro (I love my marauder) and indoor mini stock with 4.8v setup sometimes against the tamiya boys with the 934 if my memory is correct. Anyway if your having fun and not upsetting the competition then it's whatever puts a smile on yer mug.
Congrats on the win, the rc club I raced 1/10 touring with moved outside when covid struck and it just wasn't as fun outside without the close racing and barriers you get indoors. We also didn't have that banging set up with ramps jumps and bumps used to get moaned at if the carpet had a lump in it 😂
I raced a 4wd in the 2wd class - what position do you think we will finish in? 😂
Nice kev
Love the vids! You got me into the hobby

@Arrma 4Life Well somebody got bit by the mad bug todaaaay 🤣
He’s just stating his opinion nothing wrong with some suggestions!
Exactly @hudson hensley
He said hr doesn't really like the racing stuff he more of a basher and rock crawlerb

Vinny giving the finger to everyone and not even realizing it 🤣 Great racing Kevin
I'm pretty sure it was intentional
IM SAYING LMAO
Great to see you promoting the fun side of competitive racing. Also, you’re pretty darn handy at racing. Good lines and throttle control. All those years of wielding a tx definitely helping!
I like this type of video! Kevin going to the track! Proved everybody wrong that day, you CAN do more than just break your rc cars 😂
You've done it now... Because of this vid I ordered a proper race car, I've never owned a brand new one before so I'm super excited to get it, assemble it and look like a jackass learning how to race it properly. Thanks Kev for giving me the inspiration!!

When is max 4 going into the raminator?
soon!
@@KevinTalbotTV put a max8 in the slash next
Put it in the xmaxx
Love how happy you were! Enjoying what you do is what’s it’s all about in rc!
I agree smiling ear to ear not upset if he got 3rd just having fun.
I wish this kind of racing wasn't so expensive, it looks like so much fun!
Is it expensive tho? 4-5k is fine and im just a worker. get ur priorities right.
@@svampae I can think of a lot of things to spend that much on.
Like 4 xmaxx’s and parts for them, electronics, basically about anything
@@svampae lolol OK thanks

My dog is tripping out from all the sound effects. 😂 Excellent video Kevin, always a lot of fun to watch. Hope you're having a good day.

You are literally the embodiment of "Get it done". All those parts are just parts to you. You just get it done. That's what's up..
Now Kevin needs to race against other 4wd cars. 😆👍

I must say. Your build videos are better than any pro racer's video on the internet. Great stuff kev.
I just like how energetic he is and how even he knows not to just bore us with all the stuff
Too many channels spend 50% talking about the specs. Not many people care about the kv rate of the motor, the chassis material, or their of the servo unless they want to buy one.
You should definitely do more videos like this with pro competition rc cars..
When is a slash is coming back?

Any one else see how satisfying it is when he’s using the drill
Finally not a RTR car, something you actually need to build before you can play with it
