The "horse" and the head of Kimaris are a reference to the steed of Odin, Sleipnir. This ties in with how Gjallarhorn and all of its mobile suits are given Norse Mythology naming conventions. Kimaris-Vidar has so much going on with name and story theming alone that propels it to being one of my favorite Gundams.
Ippei Gyoubu's mobile suits design are just so good

The Kimaris Vidar would be a spectre too since Scalpers are going to scalp it due to its rarity

All of my kimaris hg holds up pretty well. I don't know why this guy doesn't have a full mechanics but I would love to see a mg of this

The Metal Robots line and the Metal Build Lines are pretty similar in terms of designs and features its indistinguishable between the two

Really wished they sticked with the vidar design cuz damn that was wonderfull
So glad i got mine used, in excellent condition, couldnt even tell it was used and it was cheaper than msrp.

I’m curious about this line. There has to be so much work that goes into this from the production side. Makes me wonder why they choose to make a metal robot damashii over an MG? Do these make more money than an MG? Just a different team?

you might be underestimating how much more engineering has to go into a model that fits together well and is fun to build, and i imagine the margins are better since they can upcharge for all the premium bells and whistles that aren't actually that much harder
I think its also handled by another team. Since theyre listed separately from the rest of gundams, under Tamashii nations

This Gundam is second in design only to Barbatos Lupus Rex. I love the design of the feet on both Gundams . Most of the other Gundams look like they are wearing shoes.

Eh no, theres a reason Gaelio never faced Mika after their last encounter.
As much as I hate the fact that Gaelio survived his _obvious_ death at the end of IBO Season 1 (dammit Okada)... the Kimaris Vidar is an undeniably awesome Gundam design.
And at the very least, I'm hoping that this Metal Build version's arms don't eventually "sag" from the weight of posing with that huge-ass Drill Lance.
I hate the pilot. He is still a bad pilot though. He cant defeat Mika without the support of the SIMP brain.
Still this costs, 160$, the hg costs 12$, so the question is, is this thirteen times better?
