Hi David, I’m glad to see you covering P5R for upcoming release on other platforms later this month. Minor correction regarding new semester: 1.) You actually only need to reach rank 9 of Councillor Arcana by 11/18 to unlock new content; Faith and Justice are not mandatory; I tested it myself on a recent play through and can confirm accuracy. 2.) Maxing faith arcana by 12/24 only means you can continue back end of path during new semester. 3.) Justice needs to reach rank 8 by 11/18; not 11/24 as stated in the video. The only thing maxing it out does is unlock final awakening at end of new semester but is not mandatory. Looking forward to future videos.

I already preordered as soon as I saw it on Amazon. No questions asked. I have an Xbox and PC but chose the Switch because for a game this long it's worth playing in handheld mode despite only 30fps. Edit: Plus, it will look sick in my collection of games and it will age like fine wine.
Great Video! I already bought P5R on PS4 last year but it is tempting to get it on Switch (portability) and PC (mods xD) and yeah I am excited that more people get to experience this game for the first time, (Just like I did last year P5R was my first ATLUS game :D)
As a Switch OLED and Steam Deck owner I think 30FPS works great on a handheld. Bigger screens on a large TV it’s a lot more noticeable. I’d say if you play handheld to get the Switch or Steam (Deck) versions. With the OLED being a better screen I think it’ll be on Switch for me.

P4 Golden on PS Vita was mky first contact with the Persona series, and loved it. Played P5 on release, and got P5R even 5 days before official release, and loved it even more. Won't play it on PC, cause clearing it 2 times is enough. Still, its a good game
I cannot wait to purchase it on Steam and play it on my Deck, hopefully at sweet 60fps. What must be said is... No matter where you play it, just DO IT. One of the best games ever made
Just finished the game clocking out with 155 hrs. I’d do a New Game + if I can continue on the PS5 version.. until then, I’ll just have to go thru the P5Strikers for the story continuation, minus Royal added content.
Persona 5 Royals is ABSOLUTELY worth your time and money. When Atlus released Persona 4 Golden on steam and Persona 5 scramble on the switch I knew it was only a matter of time before they released Royals for pc at a minimum. The story, world, and characters are so rich and each entry in the franchise is self-contained so it doesn’t matter if it’s your first Persona game or your fifth. If you pick this up, you won’t regret it

I couldn't play it, nor was I interested in buying another ps at the time as I didn't have all that much cash. Recently I got myself a ps again, but Ive been stuck wondering if its worth while buying P5R or If I should just play the game I already got, especially since I was like 60 hours in, and another reason it took me so long to consider replaying was due to me not wanting to repeat 60 hours of content I already did. Maybe P5R will change up the game at least a bit for it to be more worth while to repeat all that content.
Persona 5 Royal is actually the highest rated JRPG of all time for global reviews looking both at Metacritic and Opencritic. I still think P5 is better than Royal but still, it's impressive because Royal had over 70 reviews globally despite P5 reaching almost 100 reviews. Usually re-releases get A LOT less reviews. FF IX would be the second highest rated JRPG of all time but it only had 22 reviews. If it had 70+ reviews, the score would have dropped to 90-91. Regardless, P5 Royal on PC especially but also Xbox and Switch is a HUGE release that will probably tell us(and Atlus) if Persona 6 will still be PS exclusive at launch(unlikely giving the nightmarish situation of PS5, particularly in Japan) but it could happen if it also releases on PC at launch. I think Switch is pretty much guaranteed to not get P6 at launch. Too much work for the Persona Team. And of course, phenomenal addition to Game Pass.
The steam version of the game runs worse than the switch version that I emulate on my pc. I hope they fix the optimization, until then I'm not playing it
