Thank you so so much for your support! It means alot to me. I havent uploaded for a few weeks, but I have quite a bit of stuff here now and I am writing and recording, so things should be coming faster in the near future. :) I just stopped eating and only live on audio energy haha. Jokes aside, I am not a collector. I keep some IEMs and headphones that I really like (which I guess already seems like collecting for someone who has just one or two headphones haha) for music and gaming and other ones that seem the most useful to me (for mixing and recording stuff). The rest I sell, where I maybe get around 40%-70% of the price back. So thats a minus, but it's worth it for me. Sending stuff back here all the time would be so exhausting because I usually need more time for everything. And every subscription and comment makes it more worth for me to do these videos. :)
@@absolutelyaverageaudioreviews Makes sense to sell items that you don't really need or like or only like a little. I definitely class myself as a collector now. I've not bought a pair of headphones yet that I don't like so I've kept them all even if I don't really need them. Problem is I keep buying them even though I have better ones. Must be an illness right?! 😂 A few weeks back I added the Sennheiser HD599 and I'm currently waiting delivery of the budget Fiio ones. Great to here you have many future videos planned. Maybe the odd headphone review mixed in with the iems. 😁
Yeah I mean I can like a headphone/IEM even if its objectively worse than others and or I do not really see a need for it to keep, but somewhere I do have to make a cut haha. And yes, I guess I got infected with the audio virus a while ago and I am spreading it through videos now. :D I even had the 599 a while ago! One of the first headphones I got when this whole thing started. It has a nice wide stage and a pleasant consumer-ish tuning. Punchy and warm bass emphasis (can get muddy though, bigger emphasis on midbass and lower midrange, but it fits with the tuning) with good Sennheiser midrange. Treble can be a bit peaky sometimes, but its mostly fine and its damn comfortable, really disappears on your head. I have a weird nitpicky thing here, because I disliked the sliders. They are kinda...too easy to slide? :D Hard to explain that in English. Like they do not snap really tightly into place. But I am weird about that haha. They did not change position when I was wearing them. Yeah I got the new Beyerdynamic 770 Pro X and the older 770 Pro. So thats a comparison thats coming soon. And alot of IEMs, already too late with some haha. But hope people will still appreciate, the IEM releases are too fast for me sometimes.
@@absolutelyaverageaudioreviews No I understand you on the 599 sliders and good description of the tuning. Funny you should say you had the 599 near the start. I had never paid more than £25 for headphones and about 4 years ago I was looking for a new pair and I wanted better ones. It was a toss up between the Philips x2hr and the 599 because they kept being in sales on or just under £100. Took me ages to buy one mainly because of the cost. I settled on the x2hr probably because of price in the end. I always wanted to try the 599 so I bought them recently because they were and I think still are only £59 direct from Sennheiser. Yeah the iem world moves at a fast pace but I'm sure many like me enjoy reviews of headphones and iems even if they are not as they are released.
Nice video, the Singolo was the worst iem for the year for me. Sure some iems sounded worse but the fact they tried to hype this and made it sound like it was gonna blow everything away under $100 was just too much for me. Overall I rank it a 1 star iem as $20 iems sounds twice as good even when I push these way inside my ear with good tips. Major major cash grab on the Singolo imo
Thank you! Yeah the Hype is always there in the IEM world. Every second release, especially the ones made in cooperation with youtubers, are said to be the best ever because of this and that. You really have to wait for the first reviews and even then you cannot be sure sometimes. I do not think it is this bad haha, it is just really nothing special and I have no idea what the f*** they did with they overall design and build of this thing. Costs too much money for that.
Always look forward to your reviews. You must be amassing quite a collection of headphones and iems unless you're sending a bunch back.
