    We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
    If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
    Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

    As we sit here eating an amazing smash burger, 1/3 brisket, 1/3 beef short ribs 1/3 venison, grilled onions, pickles and burger sauce, we are watching this video on lobster rolls! We fell in love with lobster rolls 2 years ago on our 25 anniversary trip to Maine. We will definitely be trying this roll💖
    Sam, Max and Chase, thank you for inspiring us to "change it up"! Looking forward to San Diego this August. 😍
    Keep up the great videos, love you boys! Todd and Vicki Hunt, Rockford, IL

      This channel should be made into a drinking game. Every time he curses, touches something hot, yells at the neighbor's dog, there is loud gardening equipment in the background, someone makes a dirty joke, an aircraft flies overhead, or when he wipes his mouth with an entire roll of paper towels. It might be okay to watch one or two episodes but I think most people would be dead after three!

      I agree I lived in Maine off and on for a few years. My mother made it all the time with Mayo. Matter of fact had it last week here in San Diego made some at home. Go to the corner variety stores in Maine and they sell lobster rolls all the time and individual pizzas.

    Amazing as always Sam! I grew up in Downeast Maine, right on the coast in a fishing village. Lobster fishing is a hard way of life. Kudos to the men and women who get them from the ocean to our tables. And kudos to you Sam for using the split top roll. As far as warm v. cold, mayo v. no mayo, as far as I'm concerned, the best lobster roll is the one you're about to eat. :-)

    • @msmith53
      @msmith53 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are a Maine-iac, you should recognize Sam’s as a ROCK lobster, not a Maine Lobster...lots of difference!!
      Maine does NOT export Frozen lobster, just LIVE... MUCH different and difficult to get on the WEST coast!
      Usually we get rock lobsters from Australia.
      Otherwise, your tribute to Maine lobstermen is appropriate! Be a BUG eater! Lol

    • @richardbradbury7086
      @richardbradbury7086 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@msmith53 Hi M, that used to be true, but in recent years, there are companies in Maine that have begun selling frozen lobster tails. I assume it's in response to the online economy. Anyway, thankfully I've never had to resort to such a travesty! And yes - be a bug eater! Cheers!

    • @easthampster2964
      @easthampster2964 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@MaZEEZaM Sacrilege! Seriously though, lobster meat is super lean, the added fat doesn’t make the sandwich overly rich and the flavor is delicate. You don’t want to overpower it. It’s why the sandwich’s are typically served plain.

    Try zesting the lemon by using the grater like a fiddle. Keep lemon steady on the bottom and grater upside down. The zest collects better and more efficient zesting experience. Try it, you’ll never go back.

I've made several... knife through the head, metal skewer lengthwise through the body from tail to head (keeps them from curling)... and I cooked the last ones on the grill. Absolute best way to cook a lobster, hands down (in my opinion)... no accumulation of water from steam or boiling. It's amazing! Love this show! Thank you!

    Do grilled brisket tacos (the best)
    1.) Slice raw brisket thin
    2.) Season with season all or lawrys
    3.) Grill on high heat (watch for flare up's because of high fat content)
    4.) Using a clever chop meat (because of toughness)
    5.) Serve on grilled corn tortilla (chopped onion, cilantro, lime, and salsa opcional)
    Creamy green salsa (most people think it has avocado but its a lie)
    1.) Grill 5 jalapenos 2 serranos 2 cloves of garlic and a 1/4 onion
    2.) Once charred blend everything together
    3.) Crucial step slowly drizzle canola oil while blending to emulsify (if oil seperates stop and remove excess oil and reblend)
    4.) Add salt to taste (even though it has a lot of peppers it is not a very spicy salsa. Really creamy in texture)

    I like it, Sam. I recently paid over $25 for my first ever lobster roll, al la carte. Everyone around town had been raving about this little butcher shop which sold lobster rolls on Fridays. I had to try it, I'd always wanted to try one, just never came across it. I bit into this cold mess that didn't tick any boxes. I was shocked at how much regret I had over what I paid for this thing. Don't get me wrong, I like cold stuff too, but when I pictured paying a hefty sum for a morsel of perfection, your version is more what I had in mind. I might give it a crack this weekend. Love your channel, thanks guys!

The funny thing (at least then, which might have been 2000), was the best lobster roll we had was at McDonalds. Who Knew?

      @@Popovich16 bleach and water is poison. And it's used to to make old shrimp not smell old. I learned 20 years ago to grab one shrimp, step away from the display case and put it right to my nose and smell deeply. If I smell a hint of bleach, don't buy from that batch of shrimp. Most folks that buy wholesale seafood in my area SHOULD know this trick.
      Also, bleach in small amounts is used to make your municipal water supply "safe" so....... take that under advisement.
