That's a neat job. Can't wait to see it working. 👍

Great to have the project back. In Germany with my FL2 for Christmas and my webasto is lovely . Looking forward to the next video Scott. Best of luck.

I cant believe you do all this on your drive!

Even worse than that, I do it all in the communal car park. I’m lucky to even get my parking space and an empty space next to me. One day I’ll have my own drive way.

Just got round to watching this one...been a long time coming eh Scott? 😂
Looking forward to seeing the wiring completed.
One thing to possibly be aware of...I converted the Webasto on my D3 from an Aux heater to be a parking heater with remote start...primarily because the glow plugs were knackered (fixed now) and running the Webasto first helped when cold starting. However...the ECU (on the Disco at least) makes its judgement as to whether to run the glow plugs based on the coolant (rather than the external air) temp sender...so on a -5°C morning, if you've had the Webasto on it can cause my glow plugs not to run. I've had to fit an override switch/variable resistor in line with the temp sender to get round this.
I believe the cold-climate Disco's (Canada/North Europe) use a combination of air & coolant temp to make their glow plug activation decisions.
Could be the FL2 uses different info but thought I'd make you aware.

Thanks for the info. Yes, the FL2 uses coolant temp, so I may need to do something with a resistor or switch to 2nd sender which is in the air instead of in the coolant. I’ll have a think about it. I have to admit I didn’t think the glow plugs would actually be needed after the Webasto has warmed the engine up.

@BeavisPits I hoped the same but on the TDV6 at least, whilst it helps, it doesn't create anywhere near enough heat in the cylinders to fully initiate the combustion process.

Sounds like your slave cylinder is on the way out. This video is about the webasto heater. For general tech support I recommend asking on one of the facebook groups or freel2.com
