    I use a lacrosse ball inside a sock to stretch my big toe. I have arthritis in it from accidentally dropping a block of wood on it in 2015. I. An get many cracking sounds and it feels like relief. But what is making the noise? I can get up to a hundred cracks in 10 minutes of pressure/ massage.

    I only have a golf ball. Will that work, or is it too small?
