This is actually facts, that would be way more enjoyable. You cannot do a different cast and rewrite the story, that's just a disrespect to the legendary actors we already have. I would love an animated series like a mix of invincible and avatar airbender
HBO rejected The Walking Dead when they pitched the show to it. They had their chance I won’t be able to see a reboot of The Walking Dead, with other actors playing these characters that we walking dead fans have grown to love this past decade.
@@firstlast9846 “the ending was a trailer for more spin offs” 😂 so disrespectful to an audience that powered through all that bs to see how it would end
They should show new characters instead. They could drop subtle hints that link to the original (like an injured character escaping the hospital Rick was in in the beginning, or coming across the destroyed prison). Would be cool to see it in a country we haven't already seen the outbreak in.
Rebooting TWD I honestly think is impossible. I'd love to get some sort of Comic Accurate version, but I think because of characters like Daryl it's kinda impossible on a larger scale, I think the casual audiance who enjoyed those first few seasons who'd maybe return for an HBO lead reboot are going to just be confused when the likes of Daryl and Merle don't appear, and upset when characters like Shane die earlier or Carol die at all when they survived all they way though in the show, they're not gonna like that HBO's version would change so much from AMC's even though it would be more accurate to the comic. I think the only way to really do it, is to have an Animated Comic Accurate series. Yes it wouldn't get the numbers of a Live Action series, and would definatly be aimed more at the hardcore fans of TWD as a whole, but if it was animated in a style that made it look like the pages of the comic coming to life, that would honestly be incredible.
Not impossible if it's about the games which mostly has different characters. As for the comics, many of the characters who were also on the show are somewhat different, like Carol for example. Maybe they can get rid of the Daryl character.
Nope, I've read every issue of the comic, I adore it. I agree, there's a lot the comic did better such as All Out War, there's also a lot the show did better like Terminus, but that's not anywhere close to been my point. I wasn't saying which was better or worse I'm talking about the casual fanbase who doesn't know the comics and only know TWD as a TV show, there's certain aspects they're going to expect even from a reboot/remake and not been able to include a character as iconic as Daryl, who at this point probably even more so than Rick is the face of TWD, is gonna be confusing and offputting to those who don't know the original matrial at first. Regardless of how good it is, it's going to be a hard sell for all but the most hardcore fans. @@blakelandry9313

Hell yes, TLOU on HBO is honestly so TLOU lite. Like Joel is a damn watered down tired looking old man. He is a damn beast like Rick Grimes in the video game. Also they will make Carl a girl for no reason.
You’re right, bad idea. None of these parts would be able to be redone to do them justice. Like you said the casting of these characters were perfect . No one else could be Rick in my option.
@@firstlast9846 okay I’ll give you that. The scene from season 4 after the governor attacks the prison. When he asks Carl about Judith and see the bloody car seat . That was horrible with the fake cry and scream was pretty bad.
People might not be happy with what I have to say, but actors who fit their roles perfectly is usually a case of them doing it well and us not having anyone else to compare them to, so we start to think that this actor is the only one who can play the role. Many other cases like Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool and RDJ's Iron Man. We say that no one will be able to do it as good as them but we are restricting it from happening because we don't want it to happen. Many actors make the role their own and add their own personality to it, even if the character is different in some ways in the comics. Characters can be improved by the actors, they don't need to be perfect matches from the comics, but that also means that different actors might be able to give their own good take on some characters. I am willing to give HBO a chance. I want to see The Walking Dead without the horrible actor management and cashgrab spinoffs. I love this Universe and I want more of it, but I hate to see them change their scripts and make it worse because they failed to keep their main actors on the show, or because they want to pump out more seasons without any idea what they're doing. If a well planned and executed series with good actor management and scripts for TWD can happen, then I will 100% support it. I want this franchise to receive a high quality start to finish like Breaking Bad did.
The walking dead did have a good start to finish.. the spinoffs? Not all of them but nothing will ever touch the main series.. if anything they need to start from the beginning with a totally different set of characters it would have to be unique
I think it's still too early. AMC has spent the last decade and a half building up all these iconic characters and the actors who play them. I think they'd be better off doing the Governor books and show it all through the perspective of the Governor and Lilly Caul. Since the Woodbury arc would take time to reach, they'd have plenty of time to build up new characters and a few new ones. Plus, in those books, they also have a lot of story to work with after Woodbury falls. Rick's group would still make an appearance in the show, but it would be as antagonists. That being said, I've always wanted/wished that TWD was on HBO, so I will watch a reboot if it's done. I just personally think they'd be better off using another story or entirely different characters and just make it in the same universe as TWD.
@@joeyphillips1181 I disagree. I think the majority will agree that the show would be better if Rick, Michonne and Carl didn't get written off so early. The writers themselves did not plan for that since it was something the actors asked for and it made a massive change from the comics. But even if we didn't take the comics into account, I think stripping a show from its main character who the show is built around really creates an awkward situation for the remainder. Overall the change of directors, Frank Darabont being fired, big actors leaving, it was a huge mess for both the fans and the producers and the show did not reach 100% of its potential. I hope if there's ever a reboot, they can create the show as planned without such major interruptions and changes halfway through. The show itself is fine, but the unexpected changes had negative effects on it.
@@panspermiapancakes I agree on that. It's definitely too early and AMC are still working on Dead City, Daryl Dixon, The Rick Show and another massive cross-over spin-off. I don't think they plan on letting TWD Universe end yet so if HBO ever plan on making a reboot, it might not be in the next 10 years. There should be some space between the end of the AMC franchise and the beginning of HBO's, otherwise people will compare and complain too much. And the chaos that will ensue if they choose to keep Daryl off the HBO show since he was never in the comics. People will get very pissed considering he became more popular than Rick on the AMC show.
They would have to completely re write the story with different characters.. nobody wants to see them copy the show & comic.. it's already been done with the right actors for the roles.. it just wouldn't be right to do it again with the same characters & different actors..
Imagine Travis Fimmel (Ragnar) as Rick 🤣 As he goes more ruthless, his hairs goes shorter and is beard longer until he pulls a shaved haircut reminding of Shane but with a bad ass grey beard
They could do a walking dead. But make it with new people in a different area. Either picking up where TWD left off. Or starting it from the beginning telling their stories. Then every once in a while. They could sprinkle in the original characters and see if they maybe would like to return. I just don’t want TWD universe to ever end. I know so many feel the same way. As far as it being to many seasons and that’s why ppl don’t want to watch it is insane! That should be why they want to watch it! It shows what an amazing show it is. I hate when you get a great series and they have like only 2 or 3 seasons. It’s like what’s the point. Unless it’s a limited series coming off of another one. Like TWD has done.I really hope to see more of TWD universe series. Forever and ever 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I prefer a show with 2-3 great seasons than a show like TWD that had 5 great seasons and then 6 good/decent or sometimes bad seasons. Even tho the first 5 seasons are pure gold, the greed of AMC totally ruined TWD as a whole. I'm a huge fan of the franchise (comics, games, show etc. Hell, I'm even rewatching the first seasons rn) but the bad decisions, bad writing, adding unnecessary stuff, too many spin off for nothing destroyed TWD reputation. Too many seasons is too much for a lit of people for a reason. "2-3 seasons... what's the point? " The point is "We tell our story and it's over we are not doing anything more" and it's 100% better than what the hell AMC did with TWD. TWD was an amazing show at first and then it wasn't for more than half of it. They need to end it really soon. The audience is dropping for a reason. The main show ended, and it didn't feel like an end because it wasn't one.
@@Arcadianx98 not necessarily 5 seasons. I mean GOT had 7 great seasons and just rushed their finale (didn't watch s8 but that's what I heard from everyone who watched it), SOA has 7 seasons and it's just great overall. 7 seasons didn't seems too long and it didn't lost itself in the process which is apparently a tough thing to do when so many shows can't do that. But the most important thing is telling the story you want to tell, no filler episode, not dragging out and having as many seasons as you need. Can be 2, can be 8, can be 5. All depends on what do you need to tell and how much time do you need to tell it.
_A reboot is completely pointless to be honest, if anything they should continue with more seasons. They killed off important actors that did not die in the comics, I think the death of Carl pretty much put nails in the coffin._
Everyone wants a show that starts at the beginning with different characters.. nobody wants to see them screw up our beloved characters & story's up with a 3rd version of the same story.. the comic has already been copied.. just start from the beginning with new characters & maybe even let shanes actor play the main character & be a different universe
Well, the thing is, we wanna show that’s more based off of the comics Twd at first felt like an adaptation but then it stopped doing that and then it just felt like it’s own thing that’s called Twd
@@blakelandry9313 it copied the comic as closely as it could.. anything else will deviate in different ways and ruin certain characters when they could write a totally new epic story that 10× more people would be down to watch.. nobody really wants to see a 3rd copy of the original that's just lazy writing and a cash grab
HBO only wants to do it AFTER they said no, and now regret their decision with how popular it got over the years. I feel like its their way of a cash grab to capitalize on the success that they previously shoo'ed off.
I think it would be interesting if HBO took and gave us with the same actors the backstories of each character. Showing us them before during and after. Also filling in the gaps that were created by AMC.
As someone who read the comics and seeing what HBO did with invincible and the boys if they made a comic accurate animated show and got most of if not all actors to come back and voice their characters with the changes it will be different enough from AMCs show that it could happen.
Also many tv show characters are not in comics or vice versa like Tyrese in the comics has tv show Hershel’s death, the whole Hershel farm and prison is different and he also has more kids who get killed in the comics. Carl and Sofia get married,Andrea and Rick are together after Andrea gets over Dale dying. Darryl and Merle don’t exist and actually come from Dwight’s original character. Terminus is also not a thing instead replaced with a small group of hunter cannibals who eat dales leg. And just tons of things are different enough so it is very possible
Reboot?!? Just do a spin-off on Terry Crews and Olivia Munn characters Joe & Evie from Tales of the Walking Dead. Those characters were a breathe of fresh air.
Totally not real. The IP is already owned by AMC and saturated to hell and back. Plus they have the last of us. Lastly, who says “rumor on the United States internet,” you would just say “the internet”
Jeez, these studios really have run out of every original idea. It's way too soon to reboot The Walking Dead, especially when The Walking Dead Universe is just starting to get good again with the return of Rick Grimes. But, I do imagine HBO would do a more comic book accurate version so the story would be different than AMC's loose variation of the story that everyone is familiar with. Plus characters like Daryl wouldn't be there and characters like Carol would be very different. A 1 or 2 season run of 20 to 24 episodes is very possible, but no Pedro Pascal as Rick, because it's way too close to his portrayal of Joel.
Even if they do do this, it would be pretty cool to see like how the zombie apocalypse started in a few mini episodes on what they were working on the labs and how maybe that there was possibly a way to find a cure
they could easily reboot it and make the series based off Lee and clementine . don’t touch what was already made . Twd by amc is the story of Rick & the gang and hbo could be based upon the tell tale twd story . I wouldn’t mind it being set within the same universe as well
They could do a total animation of the series according to the comics. Without deviation. It seemed like maybe the first season was a pilot. That Daryl stepped into the place of Carl Grimes as Carl was not going to be there. So Daryl is the young adult version. The main actors played people ten years younger. A 50 year old Daryl or Rick should have been 20. So they are to old for a reboot. I thought the kids series addressed that well. The grabber was the showing of downtown Atlanta where I had worked as an ATM Manager with armored vans. * Daryl actually lost a testicle not an eye from Dwight and the crossbow.
HBO could maybe do better because they won't have 1 9 10 18 (or whatever) format where only at the beginning , middle, and end of the season do things happen. In between is just kind of a filler.
The show in general I love, it was those 2 seasons during all out war S 7-8 that that took it down hill. Once S 9 hit I was so game to continue the series and still their continuing to do well in the ones we live, Daryl Dixion, and Dead city. They have no reason to reboot at least rn.
I would like to see a reboot that is comic-accurate. The AMC version changed a lot of the source material. Some of the AMC changes I did not like. I would like to see it be more comic accurate.
Also its way too early for any sort of reboot. The AMC universe is still going on, it hasnt ended yet!! They should have to wait for the TWD universe end and then like a lot of years after that before that before they even consider that.
If HBO does it, you will probably get more comic accurate stories and deaths. Darryl probably wouldn't be a character in their version. I personally would like to see a new walking dead series following the tell tale timeline and characters.
Some ideas I have to keep it similar to both the comics and amc show but not change too much -Carl and Sophia survive, right off the bat, don’t kill either of them off -Rick dies from a contingency plan by Pamela Milton, and is blown up around the end of the series while trying to stop Sebastian from carrying out the plan, he is put down by Carl before bleeding out and reanimating -Shane survives, but is exiled from the group and comes across Negan as a close ally to him, being at conflict with Simon -Negan is spared by Rick and survives without Carl needing to be killed -Abraham dies at the point that he dies in the comics -Tyreese dies right before the group encounters the Saviors after dying in a hammer rampage against walkers and getting bitten -Daryl is in the series and has a similar story to his show counterpart -Beth is in the series, survives the hospital arc, and takes on the role of Carol -Noah dies in the same way that he does in the show -T-Dog is also in the show, but is killed by Thomas in the prison arc, which allows Rick to learn that everyone is infected because T-Dog reanimates -Sasha is in the series and survives, but experiences some things that Carol and Daryl would experience -Carol dies at the end of the prison arc after being attacked by a walker, who she let bite her after the decline of her mental state -Merle is in the series and has a similar story, but dies at the lineup instead of Abraham -Judith survives because of Tyreese saving her at the end of the prison arc -Bob and Dale are combined into one character, as both took on a similar role as in the comics -Andrea survives up until the point where she dies in the comics -Morgan survives the series, similarly to the show, but does eventually leave the group for a while -Glenn still dies, sorry, it was important story wise -Lizzie and Mika take the place of Billy and Ben in the comics, both die in the same way as well (Lizzie and Mika die the same way that Billy and Ben die) -Beth adopts Henry, due to her having a similar role to Carol, Henry survives -King Ezekiel dies in the same way he did in the comics
HBO can't get the walking dead unless AMC give up the Rights or contract is up with AMC and it's alot more spinoffs after the Rick and Michonne show season 2 of Dead city and Daryl Dixon Few characters from fear are crossing over to twd universe
Hear this i think they shouldent reboot Twd from the start but instead reboot from season 8. They could have almost all the actors we know and love come back. Then they could redo everything with Carl as Chandler Rigs actually living. The actors arent too old either and regarding Andrew not wanting to play rick grimes i dont think its too big of a hassle to have him from season 8 ep 9 to season 9 ep 4. It would be awesome to see Carl take ricks place and have some of the same actors come back and do a so called reboot
If they were to do that it would have to be condensed episodes as a what if, itd get way too stale for the actors to be asked to go back and lose their character progression. Like you said Andrew is iffy, he probably wouldnt agree to lose any progress the characters made for a long term project
Yeah, but I would like to see more comic accurate show remember after season one they kind of started doing huge different things from the comics to where can you even call it an adaptation anymore?
No, just, no. It had a very long run with perfect castings, theres no need to try to squeeze anymore from the same story unless you do something DRASTICALLY different. Honestly the only way Id even give it a chance is if they did a TWD Destinies style thing where they just show different characters in certain places- kill Rick instead of Shane, Have the Governor take Ricks offer at cohabitating the Prison, have Negan kill Maggie instead of Glenn- SOMETHING to get a different story
While I agree that some of the actors that have protrayed these charascters have become widely iconic... I think its important to allow different iterations of a character to live and breathe. I don't think we should limit ourselves because an actor has done such an iconic job that we deem them irreplacable. That performance is always going to be there, they are going to always have played that character and BE that character. But, I kind of think it would be cool to see a totally faithful adaptation of the comic, unlike the show. I like that the show veered away, I like that it has become its own beast, but I think it would be really fun to see a high budget, highly faithful adaptation of The Walking Dead comic series.
Also I think things have changed in entertainment since the 70's where you have Sean Connery playing James Bond one more time because no one can accept anyone else. Marvel has shown that not to be true anymore. If HBO did do a reboot I imagined it would be like West World in which they took the concept and ran with it. Of course I'd love to see an animated series as well that was faithful to the comic which was so much more brutal than the TV series.
I would love a reboot. But definitely like a TWD destinies type of style. Different choices. Different characters etc. I mean we became so attached to cast we got. That a new actor for the same character would feel weird and immersion breaking.
If they brought it back for a brief time with lots of action, some really new weird, formidable, fast walkers it might be good. It would have to be the original cast. Maybe them all banning together to fight the CRM.
If HBO does a TWD Talltale game adaptation, they have to keep lee, kenny, christa, omid maybe also ben and molly around at the last episode. They do s1 as close to the game but do original content after s1. Lee, Kenny, Christa, Omid, Ben and Molly would be such a good group all together in a all original s2.
@@brianachim2670 I totally agree but knowing AMC there most likely gonna keep TWD license for another 9-10 years since its obvious they wanna continue to make as much money from TWD as possible
11 seasons wasnt the problem. a reboot would be good because the story is completely inaccurate with the comics and the got rid of the main character and his son. but yes the actors are def hard to replace
I like the idea of HBO doing it because to me, it seems as though they would do an extremely faithful comic adaptation. They wouldn't have to worry about prices or anything like that for seems like when Rick's hand gets cut off and he has to be that his hand, or killing Glenn and Glenn and Abraham dies with things very common accurate.
HBO Max wants a zombie series they should turn resident Evil into a TV series. In each season they can focus on a different set of character. For the first season they can focus on Chris and Claire renfield then season 2 focus on Alice.
Should probably wait 10 years after the current spin-offs rap up if they plan to follow the comics more closely it would be a tough sell without main staples like Daryl
If HBO goes ahead with this, they should do what Fear TWD should've sticked to: *show the collapse.* Let us see how society deteriorates like FTWD did and should've showed more of in Season 1. Let's see how Atlanta falls, Chicago, NYC, maybe a better depiction of LA. Additionally there's the military perspective. Reboot S1 could be different cities falling to chaos, or a drawn out chain of events for one major city. S2 could show how US armed forces respond (and inevitably fail). S3 could show the domino effect the outbreak has on the rest of the world. S4,5, etc. The show could follow stories of how peoples' lives ended - civilians, police, military, whatever. Better than following the same people with the same plot points into episodes that feel like an endless and dull survivalist simulator. The point of an apocalypse is chaos, so let's see more of that.
Wouldn’t AMC have to sell TWD rights away? I don’t want a reboot I want a new story (not woke) and new characters also I would love to have Frank Darabont back because his vision was by far the best!
It would be kinda cool if they did the Woodbury timeline. There's like, what? 3 woodbury books following the brothers Brian and Philip and which one rises to become the Governor character. Show the Walking Dead but from within these other people.
I wish the walking dead adapted a similar approach to black mirror of giving us episodes of different survivor teams and they could all be in different parts of the world.
The only way I could see this working is if it was panel for panel exactly the same as the comic (cause the show does make quite a bit of changes) And animated, I feel with animation they wouldnt have to worry about finding live actors to fit the roles and an animated show would replicate the art of the comic to a tee. Does it need to happen, not necessarily but I could see it working but i think I'd have to be done after all the spin offs.
I think it will be a good idea tbh , I would wanna see a version of twd that's specially being stuck to the comics like carl being alive and Sophia and rick losing his hand there's a lot of things that changed.
If HBO wants their own Zombie show, State of Decay 1 by Undead Labs would be perfect. Seeing Marcus and Ed starting up in Trumbull Valley would be amazing.
imho This is a good idea, i love HBO so much, and i am sure they could make TWD great again. And yes, i think Rick or Daryl can be played by other actors, that would be interesting.
True, but the Shane death scene is the all time greatest moment in television history. Those two guys acted the F out of that episode. Total classic absolutely brilliant.

People will get very pissed considering he became more popular than Rick on the AMC show.
this is def the case with rick. Tv Rick isnt even close to comic rick imo i would rather have a new version.
An alternate version where everyone who survives dies and everyone who died survived. Somethin like that could be neat
They would have to completely re write the story with different characters.. nobody wants to see them copy the show & comic.. it's already been done with the right actors for the roles.. it just wouldn't be right to do it again with the same characters & different actors..
I would not watch it if they rebooted walking dead
Me and you both
Imagine Travis Fimmel (Ragnar) as Rick 🤣
As he goes more ruthless, his hairs goes shorter and is beard longer until he pulls a shaved haircut reminding of Shane but with a bad ass grey beard
You could also ask Charlie Hunnam (Jax from SOA) if Fimmel is unavailable
Fear the walking dead
The main show ended, and it didn't feel like an end because it wasn't one.
everything has to end eventually, it will get terrible if they forcefully try to make it drag on..
All tv shows should follow breaking bad and have 5 seasons and end great. Not lad on like TWD with most the fans not caring about it
@@Arcadianx98 not necessarily 5 seasons.
I mean an animated series for the comics would be cool like invincible. But idk if they can manage a live action better than what we got.
I have always wanted a "what if" show for the walking dead, and what would happen if events changed like shane lives.
I hope it will show the outbreak in the series too
As someone who read the comics and seeing what HBO did with invincible and the boys if they made a comic accurate animated show and got most of if not all actors to come back and voice their characters with the changes it will be different enough from AMCs show that it could happen.
And just tons of things are different enough so it is very possible
amazon prime made invincible and the boys
HBO didn't make any of those. Amazon did. Idiot
HBO did neither of those shows
They need to go more with the comic like have Sophia and tdog live
I think they need to wait at least 5 more years. It feels too soon.
If you’re gonna reboot it do an animated show, and a pretty much spot on comic adaptation.
I wouldn’t mind it being set within the same universe as well
Great thinking cause that universe is connected
They could do a total animation of the series according to the comics. Without deviation.
It seemed like maybe the first season was a pilot. That Daryl stepped into the place of Carl Grimes as Carl was not going to be there. So Daryl is the young adult version.
The main actors played people ten years younger. A 50 year old Daryl or Rick should have been 20. So they are to old for a reboot. I thought the kids series addressed that well.
The grabber was the showing of downtown Atlanta where I had worked as an ATM Manager with armored vans.
*
Daryl actually lost a testicle not an
eye from Dwight and the crossbow.
If they reboot I don't think they'll have a daryl.. it'll prolly be more from the comics the the og show was
100%!
If HBO reboots it, that shouldn't stop AMC from continuing their saga. I'm down for extra Walking Dead, and HBO makes really cool shows
HBO could maybe do better because they won't have 1 9 10 18 (or whatever) format where only at the beginning , middle, and end of the season do things happen.
I love 7&8. I love all of it.
It would be like apple doing a game of thrones reboot when GOT was at its hight a few years ago HBO would not let apple do a reboot of they're show
Where did they announce a Crossover series?
I think they should do it. It would definitely put AMC to shame.
Marvel could not use the x men because sony had the rights so HBO would have to buy AMC or buy the walking dead rights from AMC
A reboot isn’t a remake.
It wouldn’t be in the same timeline. It would be years ahead when the kids are 20-30 years older.
I would like to see a reboot that is comic-accurate. The AMC version changed a lot of the source material. Some of the AMC changes I did not like. I would like to see it be more comic accurate.
Please don't reboot it. That would be horrible. The original cast worked great. I hope Robert Kirkman wont allow it
Also its way too early for any sort of reboot. The AMC universe is still going on, it hasnt ended yet!! They should have to wait for the TWD universe end and then like a lot of years after that before that before they even consider that.
Most of the cast was trash. Really bad acting. You'd notice if you take the blinders off.
@@vahn_legaia I have no blinders on. All we need is a woke crappy reboot.
@@ryansmith1115the original show was woke already boy, the world is not full of white babies cry about it
AMC aren't going to sell
If HBO does it, you will probably get more comic accurate stories and deaths. Darryl probably wouldn't be a character in their version. I personally would like to see a new walking dead series following the tell tale timeline and characters.
Some ideas I have to keep it similar to both the comics and amc show but not change too much
-Carl and Sophia survive, right off the bat, don’t kill either of them off
-Rick dies from a contingency plan by Pamela Milton, and is blown up around the end of the series while trying to stop Sebastian from carrying out the plan, he is put down by Carl before bleeding out and reanimating
-Shane survives, but is exiled from the group and comes across Negan as a close ally to him, being at conflict with Simon
-Negan is spared by Rick and survives without Carl needing to be killed
-Abraham dies at the point that he dies in the comics
-Tyreese dies right before the group encounters the Saviors after dying in a hammer rampage against walkers and getting bitten
-Daryl is in the series and has a similar story to his show counterpart
-Beth is in the series, survives the hospital arc, and takes on the role of Carol
-Noah dies in the same way that he does in the show
-T-Dog is also in the show, but is killed by Thomas in the prison arc, which allows Rick to learn that everyone is infected because T-Dog reanimates
-Sasha is in the series and survives, but experiences some things that Carol and Daryl would experience
-Carol dies at the end of the prison arc after being attacked by a walker, who she let bite her after the decline of her mental state
-Merle is in the series and has a similar story, but dies at the lineup instead of Abraham
-Judith survives because of Tyreese saving her at the end of the prison arc
-Bob and Dale are combined into one character, as both took on a similar role as in the comics
-Andrea survives up until the point where she dies in the comics
-Morgan survives the series, similarly to the show, but does eventually leave the group for a while
-Glenn still dies, sorry, it was important story wise
-Lizzie and Mika take the place of Billy and Ben in the comics, both die in the same way as well (Lizzie and Mika die the same way that Billy and Ben die)
-Beth adopts Henry, due to her having a similar role to Carol, Henry survives
-King Ezekiel dies in the same way he did in the comics
AMC owns the rights to The Walking Dead. I don't think HBO can do that without permission but I could be wrong
Yes and no also the original creator and he’s kind of made it clear he doesn’t really like a lot of action show of Twd
If HBO does it,you know there's gonna be plenty of nudity
Nobody could fill Andrew Lincoln's boots or JDM's as Rick and Negan though.
There’s not one actor in the world who I could see playing Rick Grimes other than Andy Lincoln
@@DukeJimbobYeah Andy did an amazing job. An animated series would probably be the best bet for a reboot i think because nobody's filling those boots.
It better be animated.. I could never see another actor play the role of Rick Grimes.
I can only see a Lee en Clementine series. That would be perfect!
if they would do all 4 seasons it would be perfect and maybe even better than amcs twd
I love the walking dead. Im all in for a reboot but they really got to take there time and cast the absolute best people for the rolls.
If they brought it back for a brief time with lots of action, some really new weird, formidable, fast walkers it might be good. It would have to be the original cast. Maybe them all banning together to fight the CRM.
Reboot but Shane lives Lori dies instead.
They would have to bring the original actors back somehow I wouldn't work otherwise
@blaneingle8775 Exactly
Didn't HBO decline TWD when it was originally pitched?
Yes TWD was originally pitched to both HBO and NBC and they both turned it down. Then it of course went to AMC.
They should make a animated series for the comics
If HBO does a TWD Talltale game adaptation, they have to keep lee, kenny, christa, omid maybe also ben and molly around at the last episode.
They do s1 as close to the game but do original content after s1.
Lee, Kenny, Christa, Omid, Ben and Molly would be such a good group all together in a all original s2.
Instead of reboot they should do a what if series
AMC has to lose it first
@BrianAchim Yeah but I don't think AMC is gonna let TWD go considering that, that's there big money maker
@@Walker_Dead_Phoenix.2016 Agreed, they would cancel their other shows before they lose TWD.
@@brianachim2670 I agree but that's not gonna happen and we know this
@@Walker_Dead_Phoenix.2016 Although I do want AMC to stop having the walking dead license soon. Franchise needs to end in a few years max.
@@brianachim2670 I totally agree but knowing AMC there most likely gonna keep TWD license for another 9-10 years since its obvious they wanna continue to make as much money from TWD as possible
Make it animated
11 seasons wasnt the problem. a reboot would be good because the story is completely inaccurate with the comics and the got rid of the main character and his son. but yes the actors are def hard to replace
If they do reboot it, it need to be totally different and maybe some special guest of the old cast thru out the seasons, like passing by situations.
hbo should make a what if show eg what if Shane killed rick in 2x12 or what if the governor accepted ricks offer
I mean we already know what happened with Shane and Rick if Shane won
Honestly cartoon close to the comic would be pretty solid
True af twd gets hella haters but they been going strong
I like the idea of HBO doing it because to me, it seems as though they would do an extremely faithful comic adaptation. They wouldn't have to worry about prices or anything like that for seems like when Rick's hand gets cut off and he has to be that his hand, or killing Glenn and Glenn and Abraham dies with things very common accurate.
A correctly and carefully done animated version that is accurate would be awesome.
Maybe a live-action telltale series? They could do a continuation of the story with Clem and AJ, but I doubt it would sell.
Hopefully it’s more comic accurate I’m kinda hoping if this is true, it’s an animated show more of the style of the comics this would be perfect
The comic goes sooo much harder and plays out so different. If they’re going to follow it I think it’d do great.
Harder? I reckon tv rick would destroy comic rick
@@FlyinggMushroom🤡🎪
Wouldn’t AMC have to sell TWD rights away? I don’t want a reboot I want a new story (not woke) and new characters also I would love to have Frank Darabont back because his vision was by far the best!
they sabotaged their own project by firing Frank Darabont so it’s on them for fucking up
It would be kinda cool if they did the Woodbury timeline. There's like, what? 3 woodbury books following the brothers Brian and Philip and which one rises to become the Governor character. Show the Walking Dead but from within these other people.
If they did I’d love to see more pre/early outbreak stuff the other shows besides fear for a small part hardly showed it
i do think they could do the walking dead telltale story into a live action show and make it a whole lot better than how the game plays out
Let's hope they do it right !
I would love to see an animated recreation of the comics, sort of like Invincible.
I wish the walking dead adapted a similar approach to black mirror of giving us episodes of different survivor teams and they could all be in different parts of the world.
The only way I could see this working is if it was panel for panel exactly the same as the comic (cause the show does make quite a bit of changes)
And animated, I feel with animation they wouldnt have to worry about finding live actors to fit the roles and an animated show would replicate the art of the comic to a tee.
No matter what AMC's walking dead will always be my version. I would want the show to be based on the telltale games, i think it would be cool
If HBO wants their own Zombie show, State of Decay 1 by Undead Labs would be perfect. Seeing Marcus and Ed starting up in Trumbull Valley would be amazing.
Oh god no
imho
This is a good idea, i love HBO so much, and i am sure they could make TWD great again.
And yes, i think Rick or Daryl can be played by other actors, that would be interesting.
"ok so how do we Bring Carl back?"
"Lets make the series again"
NOOOOOOO. No one else is Rick grimes or Negan or Daryl Dixon.. carol? Nooooo.
Daryl wouldn't exist.
The worst decision in WD was letting Shane die. He was such a cool character
True, but the Shane death scene is the all time greatest moment in television history. Those two guys acted the F out of that episode. Total classic absolutely brilliant.
I really hope the rumours aren’t true. It will be a disaster.
It would be a great idea if it was an animated series
