Hello friends I have made a 2D wire bending machine based on arduino micro controller, this small machine bending 1sq mm brass wire.
Mostly parts are 3d printed on my tevo tarantula printer.
Firstly wire will passed from a wire straining mechanism then it will be pulled by a 3d printer filament pusher mechanism driven by a stepper motor.
then a wire guider feed wire further and a bender arm mount on shaft of other stepper motor bends the wire.
currently in this version of code I have program five basic shapes, those shape can be selected from serial monitor and sizes also can be user define.

Ha! That would be awesome for making antennas. You could make brilliant bowtie antennas or even quadrifillar's. It would be way more precise than by hand. Really cool.

Hi. One query. When motor is bending the wire at an angle as seen in the video (at time 0.54 and 1.07), how is it you get a near helical structure. For e.g. where the wire was bent into a rectangular shape, it kind of winds in a rectangular spiral. What causes it to spiral?
Hi. I hope you found your answer...I new here! Note that at the time of bending the wire is forced against the (green piece) which makes it move to the side every time a new bending occurs.

With this aweful precision you could just as well bend the wires with hand tools. The spring would come out much nicer when bent with the help of a 3D-printed screw and hand tools.
But if you need to make lots of parts it makes things much easier, especially since you don't have to keep repeating a measurement over and over again, that alone makes the machine worthwhile not to mentioned the reduced labor.

That looks like it could be modified to bend radio antennas for phones or WiFi range extenders. Here's an example of a simple antenna th-cam.com/video/1veNvAxWHyM/w-d-xo.html That machine could bend antennas faster than you can drop them in envelopes to ship them.

та у нее уже ета трубка из каторой проволка вылазит разхлебалась...стока мароки и все с пласмасы
не уверен что ана и пару часов праработает ...и ваще вот етот гнущий вал абычно гаризантальна ставят, шоп можна было в обе стораны гнуть и па нескалака упоров на них тулить
з.ы.или у них там халявный 3д принтер вот и фигачат всякую шляпу, как самалетики с бумаги
