  • In this video I show how I level my mount, using an inexpensive DIY woodenplate.
    In this video I used a Meade LX90 10" ACF, Meade 4000 series 0.63 Focalreducer, Altair 183c, Altair 130c, Astrooptics 80mm guidescope, Meade Standard Wedge.

    How about some small wooden strips around the end of the legs on the base itself ? That way when you bump into it the tripod doesn't skip off of the base.

    What a great idea. I always place my tripod in the same place and have to adjust the legs every time to get it level. I did attach 4 small bubble levels around the base. Plus the circular centering bubble and then I know I'm okay.

      I am glad you liked it. Some claim though, that level is Not needed with a wedge or Eq mount. I do it anyway. Just to be sure.
