  • In this video I make a small and not that deep runtrough of some of the hardware and software I use. My telescope is a Meade LX90 10" SCT, and it has a 0.63 focalreducer and a wedge to make it a EQ mount instead of an ALT/AZ mount. I go through some of the setups of the software, and the need of Ascom platform plus drivers. I make a small run through of Astrophotography Tool, PHD2, and SharpCap Pro.

    Another great educational video Klaus, this will help me so much. I have my guide scope, focal reducer, all the cameras, cables, downloaded all the software and now i just have to make it all work. I do need to update my hand controller to the audiostar. By the way I recognise your image as the flame nebula. :-) Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge,

    Great video! One question, When you use APT with your Meade hand controller, Do you strictly use APT to slew objects, or area's? I find that my hand controller does not update to where my mount is pointing after using APT, or Stellarium.! After you have used APT to slew to an object or area, is your hand controller updated to the current area? Thanks

      Thank you. You can sync the pos your mount has with apt. I use my handcontroller to try to find my target, then I use apt to platesolve.

      I Karl, finally my guidescope, Lepus focal reducer and cameras have now all arrived and looking forward to putting everything I have learnt from your videos into practice, what could go wrong haha, tell me do you take flats and darks everytime you use your eqiopment or do you re-use what you have?, thanks again for your great videos.

      @skatter3112  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lesbooth2391 , flats are always retaken, as dust, focus, and rotation always is different from session to session. Darks I reuse to some extend.
