@@KipaYumiya haha, he's so preachy and one dimensional. BioWare wrote him with a hard on for the Republic that is nauseating. In kotor He has an issue with any action that doesn't make you Gandhi, and by God does he tell you. Idk i think it's that his character is extremely static and doesn't adjust or grow the entire time through the game. I like how in Kotor 2 they actually change alignment with you so maybe I'm just spoiled :/
I like this ending from a conceptual standpoint, even if it would be hard to write as a satisfying conclusion-be uncommitted to the Light or Dark and you will fulfil Malek's words.
"Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things Revan… and yet you are nothing. In the end you belong to neither the light nor the darkness. You will forever stand alone."
And here, that involves Bastila.

There's a book about the fate of revan and Bastille and they leave the council to start a family then revan ends up trying to confront the being that converted him to the dark side in the first place

For anyone who hasn't done it yet: doing a "veteran" "Middle Road" playthrough...doesn't cost you much really. Whereas if you go full roleplay in KOTOR 2? Unfortunately for ALL it's glory:
And lol: its intentionally weaker and thats IN the games NARRATIVE ironically...but the middle road in KOTOR 2...is Apathy from KOTOR 2's perspective (and also that reality is the most mis understood truth of KOTOR 2 lol: that 'Grey" = apathy, not some "true path" as the question isn't "are you dark or light" its: DO YOU FOLLOW THE TEACHINGS: of Jedi or Sith...a mistake still being made...to THIS day): and therefore only grants: a small force boost vs a Endgame level Power and no natural buff as there' no "max neutral".
Aka: in KOTOR 1...do your Role Play Playthrough...you really dont lose ENOUGH: to fear it.
@@benjaminkeith1417 Thats why I enjoy KOTOR 1 more, the story is simple, and soothing and not boring, at least as far as intro goes, the pace is well set too, the Combat is certainly no where near as indepth as KOTOR 2, and the interactions with the characters feels far more at stake in KOTOR 2, with a more entertaining combat and story, just a shame the pacing in the plot is boring as hell, at least the first couple of hours

There was a third branch originally planned for the Temple decision that would have led to a neutral ending, but it was scrapped. This tries to recreate it with some of the game pieces that exist.

Im replaying this game on my phone. It brings back alot of memories. I definitely had more patience back then because the dialog on some parts of this game takes forever

Having finally gotten around to fully beating the game after paying it on and off since 2005. Restarting more then 10 times because I forgot what happened. Its nice seeing different endings. (I never spoiled it for myself)
It's like several ending scenes got smashed together due to a set of choices causing the game to not know how to handle the result.

I just love having the cannon Revan and bastila did have one kid so that means they both love each other a lot so this cannon is the real Cannon kind of sad that she technically had to leave to go back to the Republic because the Jedi Order was being hunted down by Darth nihilus in the second game meanwhile Darth Revan is hunting the Sith emperor that can jump bodies So Raven literally says he abandoned his son or daughter and do you think bastila adoption or not there are amazing lovers but it's kind of sad that they kind of abandoned their kid and you're an awesome player
@@Commissar_Eiven Thanks. In this timeline Revan didn't know about Bastila's pregnancy before he went missing on Korriban (which makes it more tragic). Although Carth did, and it was the unspoken reason for her being expelled from the Jedi order. I guess Carth would step in to be a good uncle if that were to happen, as he had also lost his own son here.
I can't wait to see how Aspyr re-imagines this game. The original should never be forgotten, but it deserves to be seen... from a certain point of view.

From a certain point of view?? WHAT? What does that mean? The current point of view isn't good? I hate this whole "reimagining" thing. Like society has changed so radically since the 2000's. It hasn't. SJW's have only got more vocal and been granted far too much of a voice in making movies, shows and video games. The Kotor we all loved and played is perfect just the way it is story wise and character wise.

This ending feels like the canon ending, Revan having been both a jedi master and a sith lord, would likely become a Grey Jedi and wield a violet saber in one hand, and replace the other with silver like Ahsoka Tano

@shadonic565 No they are a fank wank creation that says "I'm a good guy, but I do bad things to achieve good like killing bad guys with force lightning!" It's a stupid premise in a world wherein it's established that doing bad things with the force corrupts your very physical being and the light side grants you longevity and ability through peace. You and everyone else have inferred bullshit where there was none.
And before you start spouting off about "muh expanded universe", "muh Kreia", she was a Sith. she very obviously was of the dark side, she wanted to kill god. You can argue ethics and morals, but there is very clearly a defined line in the Star Wars universe between what is Light and what is Dark. Simply using the force is not a thing, every use carries consequences and intent behind it.
A Gay Jedi is even more ludicrous when you factor in that the light side requires peace and control to wield, and the dark requires rage. You can only be either or ultimately, not both at once.
@shadonic565 Revan the Knight and Darth Revan were so incompatible that they split. Revan exists as a force ghost and Darth Revan is his corrupted body wandering around. Proof that while Light and Dark exist in everything, they are still opposing sides. You cannot be "peacefully enraged", it's physically impossible and is not at all reflected in the canon character of Revan now.
The Jenessauri thought that Light and Dark were tools until Luke Skywalker showed them the consequences of the dark side and they amended their teachings, same thing with his descendent Cade Skywalker.

I’ve always hated how the Republic destroys the Star Forge
Imagine if it was possible for Revan to contact Dodonna after killing Malak and telling her to halt her assault, Revan would take control of the Sith and the Republic to fight the true enemy in the far reaches, the Galaxy would have a bunch more Jedi/Sith (who could potentially make Nihlus stronger, which is the only drawback), the Republic would have the Infinite Fleet (even if they get corrupted) and Viciate would not stand a chance

Hmm I feel like that kind of ruins the whole light side ending. This is the very thing that led him to the dark side in the first place, tainted with the dark side. The story doesn’t work from the light side perspective (as black and white as it is).
If you think about it, the dark side ending actually helps prepare for the invasion of Vitiate way more!! You are the sole ruler of the galaxy. One of the most intelligent, strategic leaders the galaxy has ever seen. Plus the combined strength of the star forge and the rest of the unified galaxy.

How do you achieve this ending? It has the most sense, because Revan didn't end the Jedi hero, nor Sith and ended up in between, as it is always told in other games - one of the few characters that truly walked between light and dark.
I disagree. I believe Revan redeemed himself. He’s more morally grey than most Jedi however.

Either the old Bioware team or the old Obsidian team would do just fine. Sadly Bioware isn't what it once was. Obsidian might still pull it off, maybe, but they are also different from how they were when writing KOTOR 2. Honestly, I doubt we'll ever get a KOTOR 3, and if we do, it probably won't have the same writers, and I fear they'd rewrite a lot of things and leave a lot of other things out. One of the most likely things they'd exclude would be Kreia, Sion and Nihilus since they don't fall into the proper roles of Sith, they're too different for conventional Star Wars.

For me, the ideal neutral endings to KOTOR would be:
Male Revan: Bastila saved via romance dialogue, and turned neutral rather than back into the light side Jedi she was before. The Ebon Hawk lands on the Republic flagship. Revan and Bastila send Carth, Juhani and Jolee to report to Master Vandar and Admiral Dodonna, and then immediately raise the Ebon Hawk’s ramp and take off, going into hyperspace. Victory celebration on Coruscant for Carth, Juhani and Jolee. Revan and Bastila fly to Kashyyyk to drop off Zaalbar and Mission, then to Tatooine to drop off Canderous. End with romantic scene between Revan and Bastila in the Ebon Hawk.
Female Revan: Bastila saved via Jedi dialogue, and turned back into the light side Jedi she was before. Romantic reunion with Carth - Revan persuades Carth to join her and leave the Republic. The Ebon Hawk lands on the Republic flagship. The gameplay for this option doesn't exist. It would require a third branch from the Rakata Temple to allow Dark Bastila to return to the Star Forge.

@Darth Sion Didn't have to fight Bastila in this scenario, as she agreed to help you defeat Malak by returning to the Star Forge. Didn't have Juhani.

Honestly back in the day, idk about the whole light/dark side change of the game 🤣.. was watching my cousin play, asked why his face was messed up. And he told me cause he was all the way to the dark side. I was confused. So he showed me.... 😅 I looked at mine later that day. Was smack dab in the middle. No wonder why no face change or butterflies or whatever. Just normalcy.

@@benjaminkeith1417 It would probably require a custom campaign branching from the Leviathan similar in scope to the Brotherhood of Shadow mod (that this series borrows heavily from). One of the more interesting elements is successfully recruiting the Leviathan Officer Major Hurka to talk you past the Security Desk and join your crew in Bastila's place. (In the game the Force Persuasion to do so is impossible)

Wait hold up, there is a neutral ending? Ive played the game a number of tiimes, and usually went dark (cuz who doesnt want an evil empire). Was never aware of a third option aside from light or dark
There are some unused elements within the game that suggest a third branch was in the making at one time. I recreated the scene from some of the pieces from the K1R Restoration mod. The gameplay to get this was never completed.

If you have a touchscreen phone you should buy KOTOR for it. I got it for 10 bucks and it was exactly the same as the console version, with pretty good controls too (and importantly auto run lol).

There have been rumors about a movie or live action in this timeline for years as well, even before the disney buyout. High Republic seems to be a start in that direction.

I don't see how this is a "neutral" ending- if it were a neutral ending, Revan should've been more evil. Here he/she is just ... present, but nothing else. Plus, in a neutral ending the Star Forge should've been saved.
What makes a man turn neutral? Power? Lust for gold? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?
At least for Revan, this has to be the worst ending. He doesn’t get his empire back (dark side ending) and Bastila chooses the Jedi over him instead of what happens in the light side ending. That’s an oof right there.

Personally, I can imagine a redeemed Yuthara as a love interest for Revan (as long as she gets redeemed after the Jedi Academy on Dantooine is destroyed). That would make a great post-KOTOR I fanfic. And she’s a Twi’lek, so she’s bound to be way, way better in bed than a virgin Bastila 😆
But isn't it canon that revan and bastila get together since satele shan is their grandchild? I'm confused now.

Even with the bugs, incomplete feel, boring repetitive combat sequences, and crappy robes it was a really great game. And KotOR II was just as good, if not better.
The whole Kreia story arc was fantastic, and her perspective really quite interesting, and Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus were really cool too. Some other good characters in there too. The Handmaiden, Visas Mar, G0-T0, plus some returning characters from KotOR I. And even though Revan didn't make a return, the Exile was connected enough to the previous storyline to make it worthy inheritor.
Still, great characters in the original too. Bastila, T3, HK-47, Canderous, and Jolee, etc. Great games. It's crazy they didn't continue the franchise.
They're remaking KotOR now. Which sounds good given how much game technology has advanced, but I'm worried given how woke Disney are. No doubt they'll ruin the crap outta it.

Yes. This is a sort of what if scenario if Revan was neutral. Not evil, but not able to follow the Jedi way... A more realistic gameplay.
This cant be real. Revan's mask isnt in the game, unless just that is a mod.
It is too bad there wasn't a scenario where you could have led Malak back to the light side.

So this is the half canon ending. Yes they destroy the forge, with bastila in tow, but her and revan don’t hook up or go to the victory ceremony.
They do, eventually. But this ending has Revan and Bastilla neutral and not necessarily aligned with the Jedi Council after the war. No Temple Ceremony. Revan and Bastilla form their own path.
Wish they actually had Revan’s mask in this game
This was rushed, but in summary Neutral Revan is the one who bangs Bastila, and she regrets it forever...

It's a restoration of a third ending that wasn't completed by the game devs. It would have involved a third neutral option at the Temple where Bastila sides with you.

These are cut content pieces that were never finished in the game. So no, not on vanilla KOTOR as the third Temple branch was never finished.
