And to see Thor all jolly and drunk and living it up and having a good time probably was the last straw. Probably doesn’t help that Thor himself is half giant either.

I think they are related and what if also Laufey was her jotnar name and her asgardian name being something else as Odin wouldn't allow his daughter having a Jotnar name . Like that she could help others from within Asgard and no one would know but then she learned that her brother killed their mother and decided to fight Thor .It would also explain why Odin calls Atreus Loki because if Faye was Odin's daughter , when he is rescued as Tyr from the prison they tell him Faye refferd to him as Loki to the Jotnars and he would respect his daughter wish and called him Loki too. Just like in the norse mythology they call him Laufeyson instead of Fárbautison as Laufey is a godess.
Gotta love the little soft doxxing at the end Thanks for the shoutout Kuba, hopefully more people catch on to the fact there's too many little hints through both games in the Norse saga that point towards Fjorgyn and Faye being related! Cheers!
Wouldn't it be awesome to have a DLC where we play as Faye across her life, fighting Thor in Vanaheim, helping Durlin, challenging the Gods and at the end of the game the final boss is Kratos when they meet for the first time, since she says "We nearly took each others heads off". They can take this opportunity to explain how Kratos arrived at the Norse pantheon side of things to begin with
@godofaccedie8229 yea I know, but still, it would be awesome to see it in game form and have Kratos as a boss battle. The directors hinted as much, when talking about his arrival to those lands, they said "maybe something we could explore in a future game"
I saw your initial video and was more dismissive of the theory (just with the perspective of 'Why would Odin and company not know of her too well'), but assuming it's correct, then maybe her blood was used to make the Leviathan Axe. Having replayed 'GOWR' a couple of times in recent days, I was thinking about the scene with the 'Lady' in the water of Svartlefheim and what Brok was saying regarding the Draupnir spear and what it's ingredients were - he specifically mentioned the blood of a God. Not only this, but before this cinematic (whilst you are out collecting shards of the nearby materials for Brok, so he can repair the instrument that operates the lift that allows for visits with 'The Lady', he mentions Faye and how the Axe was made, but says that it's a story for another time. Unfortunately, we never hear any more information regarding the making of the Axe, as Brok dies shortly a bit further on, but it got me wondering if that was a way of SM hinting something. Have this be in conjuction with the theory, and it's very well possible. Oh, and something that Faye says and does during Kratos' memory-flashbacks, which was lift a pretty big log casually and said that her and Kratos nearly took each other's heads off upon meeting one another. I know she's a Jotun and she is going to be pretty strong, but these two things also just made me think 'Damn, her strength almost reminds me of Thrüd, in how she can move and lift things pretty effortlessly... Perhaps she *IS* actually related to Thor'. I don't know... I was against the theory, but I'm more for it now. Edit: Just watching the video and noticed you mention how she supposedly killed quite a few people from her battle with Thor (not directly, I'm sure). It just reminded me of Faye saying to Kratos something along the lines of 'We are not our mistakes. We must be better.', which is of course what Kratos said to Atreus later in 'God of War' (2018). It makes me think of how she may have been thinking of this exact moment.
It makes me sad we didn't get 3 norse games either. So many things left unexplained. Still loved what we got, but I do wonder. I'm not as big of thinking full brother and sister, but could see it been halfsies or something. Thanks for the video.
I was always confused since in the last game Mimir mentioned that Thor was upset that he never fought against Laufey the Just, but now in this game it turns out that they actually fought. Was Thor so drunk that he forgot he fought Faye before?
I think this was after Groa told Odin about the prophecy, and I think he killed her because he was so in love with a Giant that he refused to believe any of the Giants would end up banding together to defeat him, including his wife. I think Odin and Fyorgunn got in a heated argument where Odin asks Fyorgunn is she was plotting to kill him, and Thor may have came in and see his mother likely grab a weapon to defend herself as she likely felt scared by Odins frustration and in the process accidentally killed Fyorgunn, probably by means of binding her to a wall with his hammer, but in the process, accidentally crushing her. From there, Odin grew detached, angry with Thor, but also heeding Groa's vision, so he sent Thor to eliminate all threats (Giants) of the vision. Faye understandably wanted to set off and battle Thor because he killed so much of her kind and likely felt more personal because he was half Giant. That's my theory.
a better way to interpret it (in my opinion) could be that faye was actively working against the aesir, odin deduces that a giant is secretly foiling the aesir's plans, sends thor to investigate. Eventually, Thor finds faye, and as they're about to fight, their mother comes in to inform them that they're actually siblings. Thor, angered by this information, kills his mother, which then causes everything that happened in the crater. (only the location is questionable, but overall i think it's a good theory from a writing perspective)
This has nothing to do with the video in terms of faye and thor but somethings been on my mind, “why the blades of exile are the blades of chaos”. They were changed multiple times in terms of looks because athena was the one changing the look. But after god of war 3, they returned to the original look, and i think it’s because of what freya said in Ragnarok that since greece was pretty much destroyed, the magic died along with it, and funny enough you can obviously see athena using “magic” to change the way the blades look in GoW3. But the reason that they reverted to the original and wasn’t destroyed was because im pretty sure that the blades of chaos were formed using “primordial flames” or whatever the name is🗿. Which is a root material that all pantheons share. Anyways this is just a thought, don’t know if its true, if it doesn’t make sense, like i said, its just my thoughts.
Got a theory what if the timelines matched up with both of the old and new gow. When the events of Greece was happening that's when the Norse events was happening before kratos got to Norse.
I think is that Thor indeed kills his mother and regrets it. on some level, I think he regrets killing many of the Jotnar when he's beaten, the pain in his voice when he says; "don't you know,... what I've done?!"
I gotta say, the first video, I was like, "there's no possible way." And after watching both videos I can now say, I'm convinced lol. Though this is a Captain Kuba video, so I guess I was bound to get convinced. Great video as always! Also good going DubMCz of course
I don't think i was 100% "No way." but I was definitely very skeptical. This makes so much sense IF the previous theory was true... but I'm not convinced it is. I don't think there's enough evidence to even remotely confirm this... but I also don't think there's any that specifically refutes it. IF it wasn't there plan from the start, I wouldn't be surprised if they follow Kuba here and go, "Ooh, let's pretend that was our plan all along!" lol
Maybe she saw the future of her husband kratos and how he almost died in the hands of thor in a blurry vision kind of thing when she met the thor in the bar, which made her burst out of rage and caused this mess due to the possession of alcohol lol
I am also an advocate of this theory (Thor and Faye being sibs). I even say full sibs, with Odin holding on to that tidbit until he felt Atreus was almost fully his - a deal-sealer, and one he had been explicit to those who also knew what he would do to them if they blabbed. Otherwise, he had simply exed Faye out. She didn't exist, and was never coming home as it were, so why bring her up? Mimir might have even had a memory charm placed on him for this, ala mistletoe. It is possible Fgorn died of a broken heart after witnessing one of Thor's initial rampages with Mjolnir, and that was what Faye wanted personal uncaring vengeance for. She was in that mode often enough to start with, just as Kratos killing his family was only out of character in who he ended up killing, otherwise that village meant nothing to him save as a target. This theory also reconnects Loki to the Aesir directly, and makes Atreus heritage even more staggering, being the grandson of two sky chieftains. Also, as savage as Thor was to the Jotun, this fight is better explained by two people who used to love each other now hating each other beyond comprehension. One last bit: If Thor did cause Fgorn's death, then this has echoes of another infamous father/son god duo: In DC, Darkseid favors Orion despite his allegiance, and despises his brutish son Kalibak. However, Darkseid despised Orion's mother, an arranged marriage forced on him by his parents, while he adored and was even willing to change his ways for Kalibak's mother, who I believe did die in childbirth. IDK if Cory et al had this echo in mind, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Your definitely onto something Kuba!! It got me thinking what if faye did see Thor kill her mom and after they fought she spread her moms ashes from the highest peak and that’s why she had Kratos and Atreus do the same for her !!!
yea it's kinda sad as the time goes on, the more I wish it's a trilogy. But also exciting in a way because that kinda means, a prequel HAVE to be made.
Just make us a Faye game Santa Monica....show us the rebellion with Thor as the final boss. They have the Axe mechanics already 🙏🙏 we can only hope......and a Brok and Sindri shop
You missed something, a line in the text. For her love she was betrayed[maybe Odin), and for her gift of life, her life was claimed. Her child killed her and would have been Thor.
Ragnarok made me not even want to play 2018 anymore because it didn't answer anything from 2018. It's like how the last couple of seasons of Game Of Thrones spoiled the earlier seasons.
Theory: the reason why PPL don't know faye in asgard was cuz she was like mimir, she had a different name in asgard and after her mother's death she just moved out of asgard in one point renamed herself laufey the just or faye and was this mysteryrious warrior protecting giants snd the innocent, but she couldn't fight Thor yet bcuz she was no match when she got the Leviathen axe she went to kill Thor for vengeance we assume (also we will assume only faye's hair was exposed and she was wearing some armour and fighting Thor so that Thor wouldn't recognise faye) but then faye realises the damage she has don and spares Thor and leaves vanaheim then she meets kratos and yk but then in between the time odin knew the damage faye was capable of doing so he was preparing and searching for faye the moment faye died kratos cuts all the trees that were protecting him from being doxxed by odin then odin sends baldur to kill laufey as now he knows her location, baldur confuses faye for kratos then gow 2018 begins That's my theory idk hope you enjoyed i hope it's like decent lol
I like to imagine Faye had a similar story to Katara from Avatar. Faye lost her mother who tricked Thor into thinking she was the last jotnar in Midgard. Faye swore vengance spending years training to become a mighty jotnar warrior, thwarting the Aesirs plans and gaining the Leviathan axe from the Huldra brothers. Faye would reveal herself to the drunken Thor in Vanaheim claiming to be the last giant and attacks. The rage and hatred for the god of thunder blinds Faye resulting in the destruction of the valley of the crater and the creation of the frozen lightning. Faye regains conscience and sees what she has done. She runs away with guilt in her heart, retreating to Midgard. Sitting by a river reflecting on what she had done until Faye encounters Kratos.
What about this : Faye found out about the prophecy of Kratos being killed by Thor. We saw that she turned her back on the prophecy and bc of her actions the future changed. Her first way of stopping the prophecy was killing Thor. She couldn't. Then she decided to teach Kratos a better way and making him spend time with Atreus so Kratos can learn from his son and vice verca. Because of Faye setting them off on that journey and .... Kratos was able to change and learn a to be better.
@@CornholioPuppetMaster Well, she tried to kill Thor but failed. At least she could try with Kratos. And try she did and she was successful, in the end. After her death, I mean.
Here's the thing: Thor did kill Kratos. However Thor was Eager to see him at the strongest form possible so He revived Kratos. (The position of kratos and the mural definitely mirror each other. Kratos is at the deathscreen by thor so we know he actually died there but thor was having too much fun with kratos.)
Even more so, it just can't happen to be that Brok and Sindri made both the axe and the hammer on Odin's watch. It's very clear that the dwarves are under the control of Odin in Ragnarok, still there are so many things that can be considered. This theory actually makes a lot of sense.
I like the theory that Faye and Thor are half siblings. It would be cool if Atreus find out where God’s go when they die in his solo game. It would be cool if Atreus tries to bring Faye and Thor back to life but in doing so, Odin and Zeus team up leading into the next Kratos/Atreus game. I think it’s pretty evident that the next Kratos solo game will be in mayan mythology
Well this does make sense as a theory of why Thor and Faye fought on Vanaheim it's interesting of all the things Odin has done the mother of Thor being dead affected him and possibly not the reason for it and wasn't really explained more.
If thor and Faye r related in brother sister way then why wouldn't Odin tell baldur to look for thor's half sister or whatever if that had happened nothing in 2018 game would hv happened
Yoooo Kuba hope you good bro👍🏽 Thanks for uploading this I like this video 💯 I wish later on we’ll be able to see a flash back or a confirmation at least about their fight it was probably crazy, It was always interesting how they ended up fighting.
Something that needs to be mentioned is that the game pretty much tells us that Faye actually had fits of rage similar to Kratos so her fighting thor and losing control isn't surprising to me. Anyway while I dont subscribe to the theory of them being related I still think its fun to discuss it
In video games hair color does mean relatively but I’m not completely sold yet, I see the logic but I also see a lot of holes. Like if they are half siblings then who is Faye’s father? From what I understand these two have fought a few times but this particular battle was the biggest, similar to how Keaton fights Thor more than once. Also if fyorgan is Faye’s mother then when did she conceive either of them?
Right. Also, in the previous video he seemed to indicate Fjorgen was also a redhead, which is why both Thor and Faye are... but Thrudd's mother is blonde, so that seems like a tenuous connection at best.
I do like this theory. Let’s say Faye already born by the time Fyorgen was with Odin. Why a Giant would be with the man in charge of her species demise is another question. But it would be kool if Thor was Atreus uncle essentially.
It's ok. This is all about just a game. In real myth (if that might even be true) just above Gothenburg, Thor's birth place, the reality is completely different from what we were represented in Ragnarok as a game. So , good job Kuba on breaking down so good this puzzle, for being amongst the fewest if not the only one, but I will just let this one go. :)
I have another question. You said all goods go to that high plane of existence when they die. Heimdal was a good. Why didn't he turn to sparkles like Thor when he died?
Drunk Thor and Faye did the woo so Faye didn't tell him about atreus so Faye went to kratos covered her tracks and said *hey ..your dad! This is boy!* and kratos said *BOY!* And later in life atreus found about thrud being his half sister and started sweating nervously.. Edit: I'm sorry
That’s not that bad it’s a good theory and the last one WOW so many thoughts in my mind now it’s so sad that we don’t get a trilogy at the Norse pantheon
Hey Captain kuba I don't know if you've noticed this but we actually got indication that ..that wasn't the real tyr the first time we heard him call Freya frigg back at sindri's .....tyr being very diplomatic and formal I always found it weird that he called her frigg that scene and wife Freya reacted the way she did if they were friends then she wouldn't have a problem
Faye holding her own against thor is very impressive and before you guys say thor was drunk it means thor lacked skill in that fight and was sloppy with his hammer but he still had all of his strength with him in that fight
I love all of these theories and am always curious as to which ones will be true but one fact remains that I will not be complete until I have confirmation on who blew the damn horn in 2018! 📯
I always just assumed it was because Thor murdered a lot of giants, her own people. Some of whom might have been her friends or even family. And to see Thor all jolly and drunk and living it up and having a good time probably was the last straw. Probably doesn’t help that Thor himself is half giant either.
Same
Your intro is the only one I don’t skip
it became my favorite thing to watch your theories before going to bed before work
if you think about it, the hammer and axe HAD to have contact for a few seconds to create the frozen lightning. therefore it also happened when faye fought thor- whether or not they had a small convo like kratos did with thor, we'll never know. for all we know they just continued the fight with their fists
It didn’t freeze until they recalled and clashed afterwards, there was a big explosion and everything…
A DLC of Thor annihilating the giants and fighting Faye at the end will be sick
Even if Faye and Fjorgyn weren't related her death could have still effected Faye. Both are Jotnar so they could have been friends.
Also thank you for all the work you do putting these videos together.
Well, i wanna see their fight.
Bc that's at least the very thing we sure that happen between "em.
& the most thing i'm excited to see if they ever do a prequel for Faye.
I wonder if they would start off with Faye Vs Thor, just like in GOW Ragnarok, or if it would be a finale.
Faye prequel is already in work, cory hinted at it few weeks ago.
Perhaps jotnar shrines in a loki game?
@@pakistanzindabad1811 where?

There needs to be a DLC gameplay where we play as Faye and finally see how she handles her Leviathan axe.
I hope we'll see a a prequal game centered around Faye. Get to see her journey, and maybe confirm some of these theories.
Gotta love the little soft doxxing at the end Thanks for the shoutout Kuba, hopefully more people catch on to the fact there's too many little hints through both games in the Norse saga that point towards Fjorgyn and Faye being related! Cheers!

Hey kaptin thanks for making this video I've been waiting for this one
I saw your initial video and was more dismissive of the theory (just with the perspective of 'Why would Odin and company not know of her too well'), but assuming it's correct, then maybe her blood was used to make the Leviathan Axe. Having replayed 'GOWR' a couple of times in recent days, I was thinking about the scene with the 'Lady' in the water of Svartlefheim and what Brok was saying regarding the Draupnir spear and what it's ingredients were - he specifically mentioned the blood of a God. I don't know... I was against the theory, but I'm more for it now.

Now I really want a prequel game now.
A prequel game would just have Faye running around the realms, and then have atreus parts where Kratos is taking him fishing
Faye sounded pissed. Well, well, Giant Killer! You like killing Giant? Come kill me!
It’s amazing that you can learn new things in god of war even after 10 play throughs lol
I was always confused since in the last game Mimir mentioned that Thor was upset that he never fought against Laufey the Just, but now in this game it turns out that they actually fought. Was Thor so drunk that he forgot he fought Faye before?
It might not have even registered to Thor that he fought Faye in the first place, what with him being so drunk during the fight
He was ao drunk he didn't even remember the frozen lightning bolt. He could only say "this seems familiar"
Thor was CRAZY drunk
Baldur also thought Kratos was laufey so they might not have known what they looked like

Let’s also not forget that Loki can literally change weather when he gets sick, or pissed off. Something Thor is kind of known for!
That was a bit more circumstantial. Could’ve just been either Thor grieving over the loss of Magni or Thor beating Modi for coming back empty handed.
What are you talking about clown 😂

The theory of her being his sister makes sense the more you think about it
Thank you I was starting to think I was the only one who thought Thor and Faye are related
I think this was after Groa told Odin about the prophecy, and I think he killed her because he was so in love with a Giant that he refused to believe any of the Giants would end up banding together to defeat him, including his wife. Great video!!
It is a story worth telling, to see Faye go to The Huldra Brothers to make the Axe.
This has nothing to do with the video in terms of faye and thor but somethings been on my mind, “why the blades of exile are the blades of chaos”. Theory: the reason why PPL don't know faye in asgard was cuz she was like mimir, she had a different name in asgard and after her mother's death she just moved out of asgard in one point renamed herself laufey the just or faye and was this mysteryrious warrior protecting giants snd the innocent, but she couldn't fight Thor yet bcuz she was no match when she got the Leviathen axe she went to kill Thor for vengeance we assume (also we will assume only faye's hair was exposed and she was wearing some armour and fighting Thor so that Thor wouldn't recognise faye) but then faye realises the damage she has don and spares Thor and leaves vanaheim then she meets kratos and yk but then in between the time odin knew the damage faye was capable of doing so he was preparing and searching for faye the moment faye died kratos cuts all the trees that were protecting him from being doxxed by odin then odin sends baldur to kill laufey as now he knows her location, baldur confuses faye for kratos then gow 2018 begins
That's my theory idk hope you enjoyed i hope it's like decent lol
What about this :
Faye found out about the prophecy of Kratos being killed by Thor.
That’s crazy to think that changing the ghost of Sparta is easier than killing the god of thunder
I think this is a very good theory! ❤
If they do make an atreus DLC how much you want to bet sindri will be pissed for atreus not even showing up to broks funeral
Do you think that you can make a concept art about how Faye may have looked as a warrior
What if faye vs thor was the reason why Faye died? She succumbed to her injuries.
I think Faye fought thor because she found out that Thor would kill kratos during Ragnarok
Anyway while I dont subscribe to the theory of them being related I still think its fun to discuss it
I love you bro keep it up
If Faye and Thor are related Odin is Atreus’s Grandfather
Ya know
It could heavily explain why Odin treats thor the absolute worst compared to his other children like Baldur and Heimdall
IF YOU CONNECT ALL DOTS THIS IS A SOLID THEORY
I just did all of these side-quests Kuba!! 😂😂😂😂😂 the timing but interesting theory
Kuba during the first fight with Thor after the frozen lightning is made he says this feels familiar. What if he is referring to the fight with Faye
We need a prequel game
I wonder where they are gonna go with this. Can’t wait
I definitely thought I was done being heartbroken by Thor's story, god dammit.
That’s not that bad it’s a good theory and the last one WOW so many thoughts in my mind now it’s so sad that we don’t get a trilogy at the Norse pantheon
That Thor killing his Mom theory would makes sense since Odin resents Thor and rather him be drunk all the time.
He wanta him more drunk all the time because hea easier to control that way. The minute he starts thinking for himself, Thor will turn on him
The best time of the week Kuba theory 💪
Hey Captain kuba I don't know if you've noticed this but we actually got indication that ..that wasn't the real tyr the first time we heard him call Freya frigg back at sindri's .....tyr being very diplomatic and formal I always found it weird that he called her frigg that scene and wife Freya reacted the way she did if they were friends then she wouldn't have a problem
Not only did he noticed, but he predicted this in one of his theories before Ragnarok was released.
I think that was mentioned in one of his live streams or something. Many people have covered it. I'm sure he knows.
Really I may have missed that video I have to go back on a channel and check it out
@@ClarkKent-mr7zc there are two videos, the one where he predicts before the game and the one that he confirms his prediction after the game
It may be childbirth. Maybe thors birth was so powerful that it killed his mother.
Faye holding her own against thor is very impressive and before you guys say thor was drunk it means thor lacked skill in that fight and was sloppy with his hammer but he still had all of his strength with him in that fight
The day we fought in vanihiem was the most significant day of your life ...for me it was tuesday
Thor probably
I think this is a dope Theory
They’re both ginger sure but they don’t really have the same type of hair, Faye’s is more strawberry blonde and Thor’s is dark red
and when kratos and thor fought he said the frozen lighting bolt feels familer bc him and faye made a different one
The throry is really intresting but as you said there is so many important things we dont know
I'm still wondering if Fay is Thors half sister. Like if Odin tried the same thing he did with Freya, but with a giant instead...
Maybe Faye got mad at Thor for eating her brownies
Atreues was the outcome of Thors and Faye’s fight.
I love all of these theories and am always curious as to which ones will be true but one fact remains that I will not be complete until I have confirmation on who blew the damn horn in 2018! 📯
